“As first time Rover users, we feel so fortunate to have found Nad in taking great care of our senior cat, Chase & Corgi dog, Koji. She had kept us posted with daily pics and feedback of our fur babies which really helped put us at ease while we were away. It can be such a challenge when leaving an old cat and a younger dog to the care of someone new, thankfully Nad was able to fulfill the duty and made the boarding experience both peaceful and fun for my pets. We will definitely be back for Nad's service in the future the next time we plan a trip away from home.”

“Rosemary was incredible with my little dog - with high separation anxiety (Her “super power” is: crying!). She was very patient and understanding, taking the time to gain trust/build a bond with her. I was so grateful for the regular (and detailed) updates/chats - plus the many photos! Knowing my dog was in such caring hands is invaluable. Rosemary was also flexible with scheduling, and communication was great! She is a gem! Definitely would rebook and refer her!”

“Katherine did a great job watching Mason while I was on vacation. She kept me updated and sent pictures every day I was away. Would definitely reach out to you again!”

“Evita is an amazing sitter!! I found her somewhat last minute, and she was nothing but incredible. My dog had a lovely time while I was away for work for a few days. She was attentive, made sure my dog had plenty of walks and playtime. She has a small dog, and my dog and hers got along so well! Definitely going to be using her all summer as my permanent sitter!”

“Lisa was kind and capable and asked all the right questions. Her house was tidy and ready for a wandering pup. She saw that my dog was feeling antsy at the start of his visit and took him for a walk to help him calm down a bit. She was easy to schedule with and got back to me quickly in general. I will definitely be booking additional stays with her!”
“Amy and her family (of humans and dogs) are amazing. They are so kind and considerate. And, their communication was prompt and clear. They also sent a bunch of photos while we were gone- so great to see Oprah's little face. I can tell that Oprah was a happy and loved dog while with them, and next time she needs a sitter she'll be staying with Amy again.”
“Annika, John, and Pepper were great with our pup Lemon. She’s very shy and takes a little bit to warm up, but she was cuddling with them in no time. They were very communicative and sent us updates so we were never worried. And Pepper is a perfect, well behaved playmate. :)”

“Dee had a WONDERFUL time! Lajetta has a beautiful home environment, and our pup felt comfortable there immediately on our first meeting. Lajetta sent many photos, and plenty of assurance Dee was safe and having a nice time. She even came home smelling better than we dropped her off!”

“Bryan watched our two dogs for a week and we would definitely use him again. This was the first time we've boarded one of our dogs since we rescued him and Bryan was great with him. He can be very reactive to other dogs and people and Bryan accommodated him so he was comfortable. Our other dog is older and enjoyed being able to chill on the couch. We were able to enjoy our trip knowing they were both well taken care of.”

“Tayla was amazing! She left detailed notes after each visit with tons of pictures. She was flexible, communicative, and quick to respond to any questions/concerns. My cat can be timid around strangers at times but went up to Tayla immediately. I’d be happy to book her again :)”

“Such a great experience! Jourdan took amazing care of my complicated, anxious little kitty. Dermal and oral medications every single day were administered kindly and efficiently and Jourdan went above and beyond helping me to monitor for signs of my cat’s illness returning. So glad I could count on Jourdan when I couldn’t be there for my cat myself! 💖💛💖”

“I honestly can’t say enough amazing things about Marie!! We’ve used multiple sitters on Rover before, and she is in a league of her own. She went so far above and beyond—sending tons of photos and videos, keeping our home spotless, and even helping set up a water fountain and troubleshoot our cats’ picky eating habits. It’s clear she genuinely cares. Most importantly, she loved our cats like they were her own, and that meant everything to us. She was truly an angel and we feel incredibly fortunate to have had her. We will absolutely be using her again—she deserves every bit of recognition! Thank you so much Marie!!”

“Maya was so great and extra communicative! She helped out with both kitties (even a feisty one) and our two turtles. We will absolutely be using Maya again for help in the future!”

“Julia went above and beyond taking care of Baxter and giving him love. I felt so comfortable and confident with her. She helped me when I needed something checked at my place just so I felt reassured. I can’t recommend Julia enough.”

“Courtney was very responsible and took good care of our two cats during our vacation. They sent multiple photos each visit and ensured we were up to date with our pets. Would recommend for your cat and pet sitting needs!”

“Jacqueline went way above and beyond for the drop ins to take care of my two cats. The pics sent were adorable and very comforting as I'm away from my animals. Will definitely book with Jacqueline again!”

About: While I don’t currently have any pets of my own, I have experience dog sitting for family and friends pets. I work from home and am able to take your furry friend out and about for potty breaks throughout the work day. After work I love taking long walks through the city and I can’t wait to have company if your pet is up for it! Dogs have been a part of my life since I was little and I have always consider them family. Pets are encouraged to snuggle up next to me on the couch while I’m working and in bed for the night. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry companion! I am a work from home gal who is able to take your pet out for frequent potty breaks. I am available for care 7 days a week. I live in an apartment but indoor play and long walks are a specialty of mine. Dogs can expect unlimited cuddles and walks to burn energy.
“Sheung is a very trustworthy and kind person! Mochi was under great care. He went on an amazing walk under the cherry blossoms, he played outdoors and was no doubt a very happy dog when we picked him up. She’s also located very close to an enclosed dog park so that’s a bonus. Sheung is Number One!”

“For our pup’s first doggy day care, Bryan took good care of him and helped out on short notice. He’s friendly, on time, and gave a full report on drop off. Will definitely book again.”

About: I’m a work from home PhD student with one dog and one cat. I’d love to board or day care your doggo. I will be home with your dog for their entire stay. I’ll treat your dog as my own: giving them frequent potty breaks, a daily long walk, and lots of scritches. My Pom Ellie would love to have a friend who visits! I have several rooms and can separate your dog for meals, if needed. My dog is very much a food-hunter so our home is kept safe from doggies getting in to anything not meant for them. I only sit one dog at a time. You’ll get lots of photos and updates! 🤍 I run a business that is fully online from my home, and I am also a PhD student. So, I am always home and will be with your dog unless I have to run an errand. We take one longer walk per day and have many potty breaks otherwise (every 2-4 hours). Meals will happen on the schedule you describe. I have a Pomeranian here but she can be separated if your dog has special eating needs. Dogs are welcome on all furniture and in bed. Lots of toys around and my Pom will be so happy to have a friend to play with.
“Storm takes a bit of time to get comfortable in new environments with new people, but she seemed to settle in easily with Gil and Peaches! We are so thankful they are patient with her separation anxiety and welcome her on daycare days!”

“Serena is great! I love that whenever I leave Theo in her care, I know he’s going to get nice and tired playing with Nugget, and I appreciate the updates I get throughout the day. 10/10 definitely recommend and we will keep coming to Serena!”

“While we were on a road trip and in Portland just for the day, Lyle watched our dog so we could go to OMSI and Powell’s, etc. We booked last minute and Lyle even helped us with directions to his place. Our dog was happy when we picked him up, but also had a ton of energy so I’m not sure if he got much exercise while there. But I’m glad he had a place to wait and potty breaks.”

“Barbara took great care of our dog! She took him for multiple walks and sent pictures. Kai was a happy boy when we picked him up and very relaxed. Great communication! Thank you! Cathy”

“Christopher was great! He was easy to communicate with and gave Change lots of great walks and burned out a lot of his energy. Would definitely recommend and book with him again when in Portland.”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I have years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Currently, I live with two of my own pets—a friendly and social labradoodle named Café and a sweet, independent black cat. Through caring for them, I’ve developed a strong routine that includes natural feeding, regular grooming, daily dental care, and lots of physical and mental stimulation. I walk Kafae several times a day, and we enjoy outdoor adventures like hikes, beach trips, and visits to local parks and dog-friendly spaces like Sandy River Delta. I cook his meals using natural, whole ingredients and keep up with monthly grooming, as well as daily ear and teeth cleaning. Beyond my own pets, I’ve provided pet care for friends, family, and neighbors—offering everything from overnight stays to drop-in visits and daily walks. I’m confident managing different temperaments, administering medication (oral/topical), and adjusting to special dietary or behavioral needs. I treat every pet with the same love, patience, and respect I give my own. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big deal—and I don’t take that lightly. My goal is always to make both you and your pet feel safe, understood, and cared for. Tips are much appreciated. I donate 10% of my income from each stay to support animals at the Oregon Humane Society. Pet care is a natural and essential part of my everyday life. I care for my own labradoodle, Café, and black cat every single day, so my routine is already built around providing consistent, loving, and attentive care. Each day includes multiple walks, feeding nutritious meals (I cook Café’s food using whole, natural ingredients), daily grooming habits like teeth and ear cleaning, and plenty of playtime and affection. I also make time for regular outings—whether it’s the beach, the Sunday River Delta, hiking trails, or the dog park—so staying active and keeping pets engaged is part of my lifestyle, not an add-on. When I’m caring for other pets, I simply fold them into this rhythm and adapt to their needs and preferences. I enjoy the structure and joy pets bring into my day, and I’m happy to adjust my schedule to ensure each pet gets the attention, care, and love they deserve. When caring for pets in my home, I treat them like part of the family. I provide a safe, clean, and cozy environment with plenty of attention and structure. Pets stay in a calm, pet-friendly space with my own friendly labradoodle, Café, and a quiet, respectful black cat. I follow each pet’s specific feeding, exercise, and medication schedule, and I include them in our daily routine—morning and evening walks, playtime, naps, and enrichment activities like fetch, hikes, or beach trips. I also provide daily updates and photos for peace of mind. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I aim to maintain their regular routine as closely as possible. I respect your space, keep it clean, and make sure your pet feels safe and secure in their familiar environment. I’m attentive to details—feeding, walking, administering medications, and making sure they get plenty of love and companionship. I keep communication open with daily updates, and I’m happy to handle extras like mail, light tidying, or plant care if needed. Whether your pet stays with me or I come to you, I bring patience, consistency, and genuine care to every visit.
“Leah was great. I had to leave my 8 week old puppy with a sitter in an emergency, and Leah was very communicative, kind, and generous. She met me right outside her building so we had no trouble finding her. We sat and chatted for a bit inside before I left for the day, so I felt comfortable before heading out. She even gave Frankie a new stuffed animal that he now can't sleep without because he loves it so much. She sent multiple texts and pictures while I was away, so I felt secure that Frankie was safe and sound.”

About: I have been around dogs my whole life. As a child I grew up raising hunting dogs. In my early teens I raised a Seeing eye dog, which included many training sessions. After that I bred A couple generations of Golden Retrievers. While living in Montana I worked with several breeds ranging from Komondors to Poodles and Bichon Frises. In the last 10 years I have been caring for smaller abused breeds. I cared for a senior abused long haired Chihuahua and now have a little Puggle named Ozzy he is my JOY! I took an early retirement, so I have plenty of time during the day or night to care for your furbaby. I will treat them like my own. I live in a apartment in Slabtown. Plenty of places to walk and parks are close by. Nice neighborhood with lots of trees and other dogs
“Catherine was great with our pup! We were traveling from out of state and needed someone to hang out with our puppy while we attended a soccer game in Portland. Great communication, provided pictures while she was watching our pup, and did great with our high energy dog! Would highly recommend and would use again if we are in Portland again!”

“Lajetta is the best! She frequently watches my dog and he gets so excited to see her and loves going over there. He usually doesn’t want to leave when I go pick him up. She does a great job caring for Tony.”

“Another wonderful visit at Dawn's house. She has so much fun with Dawn's daughter and their two dogs. It's a mini vacation for Maggie when she is with them. Couldn't find a better place for her when we are away.”

“Carlie has been really awesome with dog walking for my pup, Gus, during the work day. Gus is reactive towards other 4-legged creatures, and Carlie has been doing a great job with giving him quality walks while managing their encounters with others. Carlie has also been consistent time-wise and reliable so far.”

About: I've loved animals ever since I was a small kid. I grew up raising 3 rats, 3 cats, and a Great Pyrenees. I have experience walking neighborhood dogs, as well as taking care of hamsters and cats while their owners were on vacation. I currently have no pets due to my building's rules, so I'd take any excuse to help take care of a fluffy creature. Currently working a reduced amount with most of it being from home, so I have a lot of availability to care for your pets. Free/flexible most hours, besides evening on the weekends(and even then, I could potentially work something out with enough time). I enjoy long walks and exercise, and love playing with animals, so I'm your guy if your dog needs a long walk or an hour of nothing but fetch. I grew up walking a stubborn 100+ lb. dog, so I know how to control them if they get a little too excited sometimes.
“We are so pleased to have connected with Mathew. Jack seems to really like him and he was actually tired after yesterday’s walk! That’s rare. Looking forward to more walks with Mat.”

I’m a Product Designer currently taking a career break, which means I have the unique advantage of a completely flexible schedule. I can offer consistent, reliable morning or midday walks to keep your furry friends happy and stress-free while you’re busy. My schedule is always up-to-date, so you can rest assured that when you see a green light on my calendar, I am truly available and ready to prioritize your pet’s routine. I’m an active walker and love ensuring they get the specific physical engagement they need to come home happy and exercised.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats since I was little. I’ve had experience doing jobs dog sitting, dog walking, dog boarding, cat sitting, and cat boarding since I was 12. I love animals and animals tend to love me too! I am currently stay-at-home, looking for a remote job so I can continue looking after my pets and hopefully yours. I am flexible and available on weekends. I have occasional trips home to see my family, but other than that I don’t travel that much. Every pet has its own personality and my care tends to match that, as well as the pets needs. One of the dogs I used to walk loved having a chance to sprint in circles over and over. I tailored her walks to go to a nearby, dog-friendly, fenced in park so she could get out all her wiggles before we walked back home.
“Shannon is very communicative and took the time to do a meet and greet. She also was mindful of the heat and even went out of her way to bring a package in for me. Thanks Shannon!”

“Phoebe was absolutely great! She was patient, kinda, understanding, and flexible. There’s so much anxiety and worry when leaving your fur baby with anyone, but Phoebe made it easy.”

“Chris is a phenomenal person; thoughtful, meticulous, and clearly dedicated to providing the best possible experience for every dog in his care. His home is beautiful, well-maintained, and exceptionally dog-friendly. We were naturally eager to know how Benz was doing after we left, and Chris quickly put our minds at ease by sending us a photo of Benz happily playing in a pool he had set up in the backyard for the dogs. That simple gesture warmed our hearts tremendously and showed just how much he cares. We highly recommend Chris and would send Benz to stay with him again in a heartbeat.”

“Suzanne is literally the best. I’m an RN working 13 hour overnight shifts, and have used Suzanne’s services regularly for a while now. I love my fur baby Doobee so so much and it pains me to be away from her! I feel a million times better knowing she’s with Suzanne because it’s guaranteed that Doobee is having the best time ever with dog friends, outings and lots of snuggles. I really appreciate how communicative Suzanne is, with updates, photos and videos throughout the day. Doobee completely lights up and gets SO EXCITED when she sees Suzanne! We love and appreciate her so much! I know she will take amazing, loving care of my Doobee for many years to come. I highly recommend Suzanne for anyone looking for doggy daycare or boarding, as we’ve had such a positive experience working with her ❤️”

“I can’t recommend Leah and Chris enough! They were so incredibly thoughtful in getting to know our dog, Indy, and her needs before her stay. They were also very easy to communicate with, so friendly and very accommodating. We received the most amazing pictures of her while we were gone and also updates about her days & how she was doing. We know she was so well cared for and can’t wait for her to spend time with them again!”

“Ron was great! Very calming and seems comfortable around a variety of dogs. Our dog had a wonderful stay that included a trip to the dog park and came home tired. Thanks so much, Ron!”

“I did two back to back trips leaving my dog with Navjot and I couldn't be happier with how it went. Monty was so comfortable in his space and he was good with getting her outside and having time to explore. Navjot also was very communicative and sent lots of pictures and updates during her stays. I will definitely use Navjot again for any future trips.”

“Dan was great -- he was flexible in accepting (rather last minute on my part) booking request. He took my big dog on several walks to wear him out! Pick up and drop off were a breeze. We'll be back!”
“Kimo was great with Kovu! He was super communicative, provided daily updates and always checked in with me if he had specific questions to ensure Kovu was taken care of. Excited to have Kovu stay with him again!”
