“I was very pleased with Fin who kept me updated about Blackjack. He had a couple of issues that concerned Fin regarding his digestive system. I reassured her that sometimes he does have challenges. He was fine the first seven days so likely stressed with the number of days he was at Fin’s home. Fin sent a number of photos that showed Blackjack was totally enjoying himself! I highly recommend Fin as a Dogsitter. Her backyard is a great place for dogs to hang out as is her home. About: I’m a lifelong animal lover offering experienced, gentle care for cats and dogs. This includes anxious pets and those needing special attention or routines. I have a full time job, but I’m available weekends or after work. I’m currently working full time Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5pm. About: I love spending time with pets and walking outside. I've taken care of dogs since childhood, and now I live between Laurelhurst and Mt Tabor, so there's no shortage of trails in the area. Let's go!! I'm currently taking a year-long sabbatical from a stressful job and training to hike the PCT, so I am available for your pet at almost all hours of the day! I typically hike a few times a week and may be gone for 4-8hrs, but this is flexible as your pets' schedule demands. My husband also works from home and can provide some extra attention and play. I'm a big fan of drop in and walks! I think staying in their own home is much less stressful for your pet. I am happy to offer a 15% discount if you book multiple drop ins per day (please inquire!). Currently, I am only boarding cats, as I have two cats of my own and occasionally foster. All guest kitties are kept separate.
About: My most recent animal care experience is from my current Veterinary Hospital Assistant job. This year, I also worked as a Temporary Kennel Technician and volunteered at One Tail At A Time in Portland. About: Dogs have always been a huge part of our lives. I grew up caring for animals by pet sitting dogs, cats, rabbits, and other small pets while having dogs in my home as well. My partner also grew up volunteering at local animal shelters and had dogs in the family as long as they can remember. We have experience caring for dogs of all ages and personalities, including puppies, seniors, and anxious dogs. Until recently, we cared for our senior dog with a slew of genetic health issues who has since passed and our current dog has ongoing eye care needs. Because of this, we are comfortable administering eye drops and ointments, oral medications, ear ointments, and we are happy to learn any medication routine your pet requires. Our current dog also came to us completely untrained and not housebroken, so we understand the patience and consistency it takes to help dogs learn new routines. We’re happy to continue potty training and reinforce positive habits while your puppy stays with us. Since we both work from home, your dog won’t be left along for long periods and will receive plenty of attention, supervision, potty breaks, playtime, and cuddles throughout the day. Our current dog reads social cues very well and is great at helping new dogs feel comfortable. Above all, we treat every pet like they are part of the family. We know how important it is to trust someone with your best friend and we will make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home while you’re away. Pet care is a part of our daily routine. We both work hybrid schedules, so someone is always home to provide supervision, companionship, and care. Our dog enjoys 3 walks a day, including 1 longer walk or outing. We are happy to adjust that routine to fit your pets needs. We’re also available most weekends. Your pet’s safety and comfort are our top priorities. We provide a calm, clean, and pet-friendly home where dogs are treated like family. We live in an apartment at ground level with easy access to parks and potty areas. Because someone is always home, your dog will receive constant supervision, plenty of attention, and a consistent routine. Well follow your pet’s feeding schedule, exercise needs, medication routine, and any special instructions to help them feel safe and at home.
