About: What does your cat need? Food? I know I'm little more than opposable thumbs that know where the kibble and treats live. Play? I'm fully prepared to run around with a string and congratulate the kitty on catching me. Meds? Swaddle. No matter what is needed, I will read the cat's behavior to respect their boundaries. I pet them only when invited to do so by the cat. Hissing can be waited out or skirted around. I have no desire to make a cat's day worse.

About: Animal care has been a part of my whole life. I've always had a pet, whether they were cats or dogs. No matter the size, age, or breed of the pet, I understand to respect their boundaries and be mindful of their safety. Spoiling and playing with pets is the easiest task on the planet. I'm a part-time college instructor. My hours are extremely flexible, so I can happily take a break from grading to pop in for a pet. I first and foremost will defer to the owner's instructions and requests. For pop in care, I will check basic needs first: food/water/litter box/potty breaks. Then comes socializing or any other request from the owner. Weather permitting, I like to take dogs out for fetch, chase, tug-a-war, or casual walks. What we do is sometimes determined by the breed of dog. For cats, I understand that play is up to them. I'm happy to engage in any way they prefer. My own cat is a fiend for a string.
About: I have grown up with all different types of animals like dogs, cats, guinea pigs, bunnies, etc. I am very much an animal lover and I treat all animals with love and respect! I have provided dog sitting services for over 10 years and have cared for dogs with all types of needs. I have experience in taking care of senior dogs, dogs with disabilities, dogs with high energy, and dogs of all sizes. I wouldn't say I have experience in professional training, but I have some experience in training my own dogs (and cat). I am currently a full-time nursing student with a part time job. My schedule is changing pretty frequently, but I am very organized and good at keeping my schedule updated. I am home most of the week doing classes online, so I do have a lot of extra time for pet sitting, dog walks, and drop ins! I pride myself in creating a safe and loving environment for all animals. I treat all animals with love and respect and I always aim to make sure they feel comfortable and safe. In my own home, I only have one cat, but I aim to make the home as safe and playful as I can for him. I intended to bring the same love to other people's homes.

About: Whether your pup is young and full of energy or on the older, calmer side of life and likes to lounge, I am your woman! I currently provide daily care for my friends 7 year old Shih Tzu mix, as well as my neighbors 4 year old Husky. I would say I definitely understand Dogs more than I do people. I love talking to them, taking them for long walks, playing fetch and teaching them new tricks. I am also a Cat lover! About: Other than having a dog of my own, I have also worked at dog day cares and babysat for friends and family. I have a a lot of love for all animals but I have ahuge soft spot for dogs and think they should be treated and cared for with much love. About: I’ve been a vet assistant for 4 years and in the animal field for 6 years. I just moved from California and I watched for over a dozen repeat clients multiple times a year. I’m available for weekends and weekdays. I work at the vet clinic from 7:30 -6pm, but will be at your house all weekends and nights . I am willing to do drop in visits as well. I live in an apartment with my older dog and blind cat. My dog is dog reactive so I am used to having to avoid situations. “Our 3 dogs - 3yr old Lab, 12yr old Cairn Terrier x, and 15yr old Terrier x came back after I was gone for 12 days Healthy, Happy, Clean and Adjusted. Rachel is sweet, caring, educated and responsible with everything I had asked of her, especially the feeding routines that were different for each dog. She even made special feeding adjustments for my Cairn terrier who is very attached to me and will go on a “starvation diet” when feeling displaced from myself or our home, allowing her to eat on the couch where she felt most comfortable to do that. I would not expect that level of accommodation but was so happy to see her commitment for each pet to not miss any meals. Rachel sent pictures every day with them doing various things inside and outside the house which I enjoyed, and did a check in with me to see if I wanted daily photos or not. Of course I did! I also asked Rachel if she could pay special attention to my under weight 15yr old who is already older and frail, and will eat less when I’m gone as well. My 15yr old is partially blind and hard of hearing - she came back having put on a little weight, not coming back skinnier, which spoke volumes to how comfortable my senior dog with special needs was! I was so happy to see she had gained a pound or two which she needed! On the other hand, my 3yr old lab was at a perfect weight when I brought him, and gave strict instructions for the amount of food he gets as to NOT gain weight - as labs can do so quickly. He can back EXACTLY how I left him. I am VERY pleased with the care my pups received from Rachel and I highly recommend! -Trina”
