About: Grew up in Hawaii. Had many cats,dogs, goats, pigs, horses, and cows. Ofcourse little ones too, gold fish, fighter fish, swimming frogs, hamsters and guinnipigs. About: I have grown up with pets and even found my first job working at an animal boarding house. You could say I learned to become a professional dog walker at a young age. I have two high anxiety dogs and have been working on their social skills and coping methods to help their anxiety. I work full-time from home but take frequent breaks to let the dogs go out and play and take multiple walks a day to give them exercise. About: Growing up, my family always had dogs, so I’m pretty comfortable around them and looking after them,too. I officially became a dog mom in 2019 after graduating from college when I adopted an elderly Chihuahua named Lucy. She passed away two years ago, but caring for her gave me experience with senior dogs and administering daily arthritis medication. I now have my girl Peaches. She will be turning 3 in August and is puggle who keeps me on a consistent walking schedule! Through caring for my own dogs and pet sitting for friends and family, I’ve gained experience caring for both puppies and senior dogs. Im currently a full-time graduate school and do have in-person classes on campus downtown, so if I’m house sitting your furbaby would have to be ok being alone while I’m away. For walks, I will always keep your dog leashed and be mindful of outside temperatures while we're out. For drop-ins, I’ll make sure they have plenty of fresh water, receive any requested meals or medications, and have supervised outdoor time. If I need to administer medication, I’ll make note of when it was given and observe them afterward to ensure they’re doing well before I leave. Their safety, comfort, and wellbeing are always my top priorities.

If you have requested a lunch for your pet, I'll provide a safe and quiet space for you pet to enjoy some lunch between 12pm-1pm. After letting their lunch settle( between 1pm-2pm) we'll go back out for a supervised potty break and some more supervised playtime, enrichment, or go for a walk in the neighborhood. I live in a house in a quiet neighborhood. I have 2 pet friendly dogs of my own, a husband, and a 16 year old son. My backyard is fully fenced (6ft tall) with security cameras all around the outside. I also have baby gates and x-pens to keep pets separated if needed. I have poop scoops and a bucket for quick and easy clean up, pet safe/vet approved sanitizer to keep things clean, pet first aid supplies, toys, enrichment/training equipment, a dog run, kennels, water bowls, a sandbox for digging in, swimming pools/sprinklers for hot days, and plan to add more outdoor equipment for a more fun and enriching time. My knowledge doesn’t just apply to dogs either. I can take care of exotics, pocket pets, farm animals, birds, cats, and your plants! Humans create fascinating bonds with different animals and I hope to create lasting friendships with yours. I am currently a mixed vegetable farmer growing for the community in Boring OR. We are relatively new to this area and I am looking to establish a network here. I care for all the pets the same as my own, with respect. There is not much more to it except needing to complete the minimum wording for this box :)
About: I’m a current foster home for the Troutdale shelter. I’ve taken legal cases and regular foster cases until they are adopted. I love all animals and just want to help those in need. I currently work from home so I’m able to care for your pet all day. I’m able to play, love on them and walk them. I don’t have a fenced yard but I’m able to walk your furry friend or crate them. However you want them to be taken care of.

“The last thing a pet parent wants is to worry about their beloved furry baby while traveling. Hayleigh provided just the right amount of love and care to Dash. I’m so grateful for sitters who truly love dogs and understand dog behaviors. Dash is by no means a problematic dog but he experienced some anxiety with another sitter that I had no choice but to switch sitters mid booking. “This wasn’t our first time with Mackenzie but it was our first time using a sitter for our new puppy so I thought I’d leave another review. Not only is Mackenzie incredibly communicative but she’s truly one of the nicest and accommodating people I’ve ever met. She always makes me feel at total ease that my pups are being well taken care of and loved while I’m away. This was my first time away since getting our new puppy and I was initially worried how his separation anxiety would be. However, he was so happy and distracted at Mackenzie’s that it wasn’t even an issue. Her sensitivity to the needs of different animals and their various personalities does not go unappreciated. I highly recommend Mackenzie- my pups absolutely love being with her!!”
