About: I have taken care of dogs since a child, personal owned ones of all types and sizes. I have dogs throughout my childhood into teens and even had the ability of owning my own personal dog who I trained and loved! In the last four years, I have had the opportunity to re-occuringly care for the beloved fur babies of a friend. I do work full time but have time to balance pet care. I normally dog sit for a friend and stay at her place and have found balance between working at my job and still making her babies a priority. The care I give pets is the same one I give my own if not more. I make sure to treat them just as if they were my own. I like to dedicate time and patience with the animals, I know some pets have different needs and I like to make sure I keep their routines the same if not similar to normal as if their human was still doing it. About: I have been responsible for dogs ever since I was 10. I have raised four different dogs from when they were puppies to elderly. I can speak their language and an act as an expert dog body language interpreter. I am gentle enough to handle small dogs and strong enough to handle 100+ lbs ones, as well. I recently took early retirement and have flexibility to take care of your pets, whenever needed, on walks, play dates, or overnight stays at my house with my dog. I love dogs! I grew up with Old English Sheepdogs and have had two as an adult. I'm a believer in routine and consistency. “Heather was a last minute life saver! I gifted my partner a pair of concert tickets six months prior as a Christmas present, and it was finally the day of the concert. However, I was at risk of missing the concert due to my dog, Chaos, having a big oral procedure 1.5 weeks prior that resulted in 20 teeth extracted and multiple sutures. Two of the sutures had come undone causing him to have a painful experience until they were able to be re-sutured (problem solved!) two days before the concert. I monitored Chaos’s recovery up until the day of the concert to make the final decision if I will stay home with him or attend the concert with my partner. Thankfully Chaos improved enough in the final 24 hours where I felt comfortable boarding him. When I called Chaos’s regular place of boarding (Pet Hotel at Petsmart) the morning of the concert, I understandably learned they are unable to accept pets with sutures due to policy. I opened Rover and began searching for a last minute sitter who had immediate availability, didn’t have more than one dog, and could provide extra care and attention to my recovering dog. That’s where I found Heather, who offered to set Chaos up in a pen in the kitchen so he could have his own space to chill, and overall had a wonderful vibe of assuring me he will be in good hands. An hour later, I dropped Chaos off with Heather and was scheduled to pick him up at 11:30pm that night. She sent us updates including a photo of him relaxing in the shade in her backyard, drunk from his pain meds. Exiting the concert venue and getting on the MAX took longer than expected due to the large crowds, resulting in us running late and pushing the pick up time from 11:30pm to 12:10am. I felt guilt and shame typing that message since it was already late in the night but Heather was super cool about it! When we picked Chaos up, he was very relaxed and could tell he had a wonderful experience hanging out with Heather and her family. Although I checked my phone frequently during the concert, I was never worried about Chaos and was able to fully be present and enjoy the experience with my partner, all thanks to Heather! Heather is amazing, understanding, has a wealth of knowledge & experience with dogs, and we happily recommend her to anyone who is in need of her services!”

About: I’ve worked with dogs since I was a child. I’ve been exposed to large dog breeds (ex. Rottweilers & German Shepherds) as well as small dog breeds (ex. corgis & dachshund's). I am a certified dog trainer, with 9 years experience and can work in some Basic Obedience work with your dog during their stay or we can talk about some behavior modification and steps to move forward for private lessons. I currently work part time and have plenty of time and energy to work with and take care of your pup. I work with my own dogs twice a day but those sessions are very flexible. I don’t currently have a fully fenced in yard, but I have access to 5 private acres I can walk your pup on a long line. I utilize martingale collars to prevent any mishaps or escaping. I utilize positive reinforcement to connect and have clear communication with each dog I interact with.

About: My passion for animals runs deep. I have been taking care of dogs since childhood (35+ years). Professionally, I have experience working at a doggie daycare and for a self-service dog wash. I understand the importance of keeping pets on a consistent, healthy diet and administering medication properly. As a doggie daycare attendant, sometimes managing 60 dogs at once, I understand the importance of reading dog behavior and redirecting to diffuse situations. This skill translates to dog walking when there are many different stimuli - other dogs, people, squirrels, traffic, something on the ground they should not eat, etc. I understand the importance of being consistent with dog training and using the same commands as the owners is key. Dogs come in all shapes and sizes but it is important to be intentional with each dog's particular needs and understand their unique personality. There is a special place in my heart for senior dogs. I have been running a small hobby farm since 2016 and have experience with chickens, ducks, turkeys, rabbits, cats, peacocks, pigs, and goats. Feel free to reach out for any unique pet care needs. I view all animals as God's creatures. My schedule is often flexible. I work part-time in Beaverton Wednesday-Saturday. Much of my work can be done online so if you need me to watch your pet in your house for an extended amount of time, a requirement would be reliable internet or the ability to come and go as needed. I have pets of my own so I would need the flexibility to check on my pets from time to time. Working in pet drop-ins and dog walks around my work schedule is easy. I can board your pet at my house most Sundays-Tuesdays. I am able to care for your pet(s) in the specific ways that you need. I will not create or enforce bad habits. I have no problem crating your pet, keeping them off the furniture, following a strict diet, or administering medication. I live out in the country on 15 acres and have many animals. Inside the house lives a 4-year-old sweet German Short-hair pointer and 50% of the time I am watching a friend's cat. If your dog loves to run, my place would be heaven. This would only be ideal for dogs that come when they are called as there is no fencing. The other option would be that your pet stays inside and only ventures out with a leash. I have 12 acres of timber so walks in the woods are super fun!

I work full-time on a hybrid work schedule. I am in office Mon-Wed, so I am available for part-time care before and after work. I work remotely on Thursday and Friday, so I am completely available Thursday-Sunday. I live in a house, and have ample space for crates/bed/pet supplies. I have a fenced side yard, and live near a large grass area for walks/play space.

You can tell how much they love dogs and they treated her like their own. Alaska has a ton of energy and they kept her busy with lots of playtime and walks and they even did some training. She’s very observant of all of Alaska’s habits and asked really great question to really establish the best stay for Alaska. Brittany stayed in contact and sent photos and videos throughout Alaska’s stay which made me feel super assured that my pup was not only safe, but legitimately having the time of her life. I highly recommend her and will definitely book with her again.”
