About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life, and caring for pets has always been second nature to me. From energetic puppies to senior pets who need a little extra patience, I understand that every animal has its own personality, routine, and needs. Over the years, friends and family have consistently trusted me to care for their pets as if they were my own—whether that means daily walks, overnight stays, administering basic care, or simply providing companionship and love. I take pride in being a dependable, compassionate sitter who creates a calm, safe, and happy environment while you’re away. I have a 4-yr old dog now named, Buckaroo, who is amazing with a majority of dogs. I work remotely for Aya Healthcare, a nurse and Locums management company. I am free to get away to walk your pet, or even stay at your place overnight and work from there. Plenty of schedule flexibility. I provide personalized, attentive care based on each pet’s routine and the specific service requested. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I prioritize maintaining their normal schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest to help reduce stress. I ensure a safe, clean environment, give plenty of affection and exercise, and closely monitor behavior, appetite, and overall well-being. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions carefully, including administering basic medications if needed. My goal is always to make pets feel comfortable, secure, and loved while giving owners peace of mind.

About: I grew up with a golden retriever and had a Heeler mix for 16 years that traveled cross country with me. I’ve got great experience with elderly dogs and young dogs alike. My fiancé and I are home quite a bit with fenced yard, but love to hike in the area to make sure dogs get all the exercise they need! I have mornings off, so plenty of time for walks and hikes. My fiancé is a ski coach with summers off and is home most of the day to hang with the dogs. I have a fully fenced yard to play in with plenty of sunshine. Plenty of time spent at home to socialize and exercise! Morning and evening walks close to parks and hiking.
“Emily was so great!! She watched our golden retriever who has a lot of energy and my dog was so tired and happy when I picked her up. Her dogs are so sweet and had so much fun with my dog, and I felt like Emily was really caring and understanding of some diet needs she has. I’ll definitely board with her again!”

“Katlyn exceeded all our expectations! I am so grateful we found her on Rover. Leaving on a trip is stressful and worrying about our pets adds to it all. I highly recommend her services!!”

About: Just because I’m a dog person doesn’t mean I don’t also love their crazy lil cousins! I took in multiple cats growing up on a farm, much to the disapproval of my parents(they let me get away with it in the end). In adult life, I’ve never had a cat of my own, but I’ve fostered two and cat-sit for friends and family many a time. I’d love to get to know yours!

About: I routinely pet sit for family and friends! I genuinely enjoy it. The hardest part is always having to say goodbye. This is one of the reasons I'm always asked to come back. I grew up on a farm caring for all the same animals Old MacDonald had. One of the advantages of gig work is the ability to set your own hours. Determine the times during the day when you're available for pet-sitting tasks, such as dog walks, feeding, and playtime. I prioritize the well-being of your beloved pets, offering them not just routine care but genuine attention, ensuring they feel loved and secure. About: We have a mini Aussie that is 2 years old now, and a 3 year old cat. We are the go-to source for all of the neighbors and always watch the neighbors pets when they need a pet sitter. You can rest assured your pets will feel free not caged up like they are in many boarding places, they will feel comfortable, and happy to be in our home. I work as an independent contractor so my schedule is very flexible. Usually, I just work from home when I do have work assignments which is why I have the flexibility and freedom to dedicate doing this and to spend time being with your pet! Of course my kids will all be happy to help out as well. Your pets will get plenty of love and attention while with us. My youngest is my son he is 10 years old, my middle daughter is 12 years old, and then my oldest is my daughter she is 16 years old, and is planning to become a vet doctor once she graduates, she is really good with animals and they naturally always seem to really like her! We are flexible and can assist you with your pet needs, look no further, we are here and will happily help out Monday-Sunday. Feel free to reach out and ask if I am unable to help, I will let you know and get back to you fairly quick. Right across from our home we have a big fenced field which is where the sandy middle school is located, it is completely gated all around and we often take our Aussie to play catch and frisbee there, many other neighbors around the neighborhood also go there too. In addition, about 5 blocks away from our home (walking distance) we have a great dog park which we often switch between there and the field across from us. What I can reassure pet parents, if your planning to bring your pet by, they will not only be taken care of properly, but will have tons of playtime with lots of love. On minimum we take our Aussie for walks about twice a day, sometimes more depending if my oldest daughter will likely take him walking again after I have already taken him out. Your dog will join us on all our daily routines (unless specified otherwise). Your pet will also have another furry friend to play while in our home so your pet won’t ever feel bored and lonely.

“Rebecca responded quickly to all of our questions and was patient. We had never put our dog Izzie in a kennel before. The photos of their facilities gave a good sense of what the dogs were provided with inside and outside, and photos of Izzie Rebecca sent to us on the days Rebecca was caring for Izzie were fun and reassuring. Lastly, their roaming farm animals were a delight. We will kennel our dog with Rebecca whenever we are in this part of the Columbia Gorge.”

About: From the first veterinary and rescue clinic I worked with, I understood & appreciated my gift as a caretaker. I worked for a local shelter in my hometown, and grew fond of spending time with animals who needed extra love. The work pushed me to examine how we connect with animals. From Boston to Portland, I became a full time caretaker for animals and folks. I am a graduate of Suffolk University, and East West College of the Healing Arts. My knowledge of therapeutic massage and nurturing touch delivers unique care for all clients. These techniques are especially useful in calming the nervous system. You can rest assured, caring and consideration are my priorities with each individual and animal. About this sitter: Seeking seasonal work while building my private massage practice in town. A kind and intuitive person, who loves to be outdoors and care for all kinds of animals! I have reliable references and good standing with the people I've met along my journey. My goal is always to make pets feel comfortable, secure, and loved while giving owners peace of mind.

“Gus had the best time with Katie! She welcomed him into her cozy home and kept him busy with walks and work visits. We highly recommend Katie and absolutely hope we get to utilize her for care in the future - Gus would be thrilled, as would we :) Thanks, Katie!”

“Makenzie was such a great caregiver and made sure our dog was calm when there were fireworks. She is so sweet to care for our dog as if he were her own! Thank you for the peace of mind and great communication!”

About: I am a passionate animal enthusiast, especially when it comes to dogs! With over a decade of experience as a dedicated dog owner, I've had the joy of sharing my life with two majestic malamutes and an incredible mutt. I take immense pride in ensuring my furry companions are not only happy and healthy but also well-behaved. Beyond caring for my own dogs, I actively volunteer as a foster with a local rescue organization, contributing to the welfare of dogs in need. I find such joy in training them and helping them find their new perfect home. My love for dogs has naturally made me the go-to person for dog sitting and organizing puppy adventures. I firmly believe in the mantra: a tired dog is a happy dog! I have extensive experience in caring for dogs of all ages and needs, including seniors, puppies, and those with special requirements. Even the most rambunctious yet lovable pups are right at home with me. You can have peace of mind knowing your dog is in loving hands and having an amazing time while you're away! I currently work a schedule that provides a lot of time at home, so breaking up the day with walks/hikes/adventures is welcomed! I look forward to making your dog part of my daily routine! I have a fully fenced dog friendly yard. Pets will be supervised while at my house and in my care. Regular outings are provided and I will adapt to the bathroom/feeding schedule on a pet to pet basis. I love training and practice positive reinforcement! I am happy to care for pets in clients homes as well and am willing to discuss what your normal routine looks like.
“Katlyn exceeded all our expectations! I am so grateful we found her on Rover. Leaving on a trip is stressful and worrying about our pets adds to it all. Our dog, Sid, had such a great time that I wasn't sure he would want to leave her house when we arrived home. Katlyn was great at communicating with us; she gave us updates and photos every day. I highly recommend her services!!”

About: We are a married couple that work from home and have a friendly 3 year old golden retriever and an 11 month Collie Mix. We have decided to host one dog (family) at a time. We are home bodies and our pups love having company. When you book with us feel safe knowing both of us will be at home with your dog and monitoring their safety. We both grew up with family dogs and other pets and we understand the scary feeling of boarding your dog. We are happy to meet and answer any questions before taking in your dog. We will update you daily (at a minimum) of how they are doing, including sending pictures of course. As mentioned, we work from home. Our schedules are very flexible. When we book a stay we plan on staying home and playing with the dogs. We have a fully fenced backyard where our boy Lambeau plays. Your dog will be part of the family and free to roam the house and yard as they please.
