“Rebecca was amazing. She was flexible when we were running late for the drop off. She was very communicative. The facility was very clean. She also provided us with pictures of our happy dog hanging out. This went a long way toward leaving our dog with someone new.”

About: I've owned dogs my entire life and have years of hands-on experience caring for and training them. I currently have well-trained hunting dogs, and my German Shorthaired Pointer is my best friend and constant adventure buddy. I understand that every dog has a unique personality and routine, and I take pride in providing patient, attentive care. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or just relaxing with good company, I'll treat them with the same care and respect I'd want for my own. I work a part time job in the evenings, the earliest I start is 2, sometimes 4 or 5 and I’m off around 9 and headed straight home! When caring for pets in your home, my priority is keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I'll make sure they stay on their regular feeding, walking, and potty schedule while giving them plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I'm experienced with dogs of all energy levels, including active breeds, and I'm comfortable administering basic medications if needed. I'll treat your home with the same respect I would my own—keeping it clean, secure, and following any instructions you provide. I'll also send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for while you're away.
“Makenzie was such a great caregiver and made sure our dog was calm when there were fireworks. She is so sweet to care for our dog as if he were her own! Thank you for the peace of mind and great communication!”

“Cory is wonderful!! Our dog is pretty nervous and hasn't been watched by many different people, she did an excellent job of asking the right questions and setting them up for success. They had a blast! Highly recommend Cory!”

About: I recently moved to the Gorge from Asheville, NC, and I am so excited to meet you and your pups! My deep love for animals began at a very young age. Growing up, I was surrounded by pets of all shapes and sizes -from dogs and cats to farm animals, reptiles, and birds. That lifelong passion led me into a rewarding career in animal care. I have been a full-time professional dog groomer and daycare/boarding specialist for the past 20 years. I also have experience at a veterinary emergency center. In my free time, I would volunteer to walk shelter dogs. I understand that every dog is unique. Over two decades, I have developed extensive experience working with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I specialize in a slow, patient approach for nervous or shy dogs who need extra reassurance, and I am highly experienced in administering necessary medications. I treat every pet like family. My very first dog, an Airedale mix, lived to be 16 and a half years old. She had a long, beautiful life that I attribute to deep love, care, and proper attention. I bring that same standard of love and dedication to every animal I meet. I look forward to meeting you! I am currently a stay at home mom and we enjoy walking and hiking every day! Your pet will be included in everything! I understand some dogs enjoy lazy days too and I’m happy to accommodate that as well. I usually begin my morning with a walk and end it with one before bed. I am available to stay at your home or mine. I base this by whatever will make your pet feel the most comfortable. I have a friendly dog named Gator who misses playing with dogs while I worked at the grooming salon so bad, so I’m sure he’d be excited to join! We love going to the Bingen point “ dog park,”walking around the neighborhood near Daubenspeck park, Catherine creek, North Western, b.z falls, and the klickitat trail!
“We never had to leave our dog with a stranger and were a bit apprehensive trusting someone we met on a website to care for our German Shepherd "family member". It's only natural to think that no one will care for our pet like we do. After making a preliminary visit to Charlie's place, it was obvious that he has a lot of experience and insight with dog needs and behavior. Our dog is a high energy, high drive four year old that is used to running our acreage and getting a lot of exercise. While she rules the forest animals, she can be submissive and intimidated by other strong dogs. We were concerned about leaving her with multiple other dogs. Charlie introduced the other dogs slowly so that it wouldn't be overwhelming and took the time to observe her comfort level, waiting until she was ready to meet the others. Charlie takes the dogs on hikes around his property multiple times a day as well as bringing them out to play with the other dogs or chase balls. Charlie also sent photos and videos to keep us updated and show what a good time our dog was having. He also managed the special dietary needs for our dog while she stayed there. We will definitely bring our dog back to stay with Charlie.”

“Emily was so great!! She watched our golden retriever who has a lot of energy and my dog was so tired and happy when I picked her up. Her dogs are so sweet and had so much fun with my dog, and I felt like Emily was really caring and understanding of some diet needs she has. I’ll definitely board with her again!”

“Katie is absolutely phenomenal! I'm always nervous the first time someone watches my dog, and my dog is usually quite shy, but she warmed up to Katie immediately! “What a wonderful spot and such a kind and gracious couple. Samantha and Colton watched our standard poodle on a last minute booking. Scout loved her stay! She puttered around the farm, played with Mosely, their sweet and cheerful aussie, and was happy relaxed girl when we picked her up. The property is spacious, safe and so cool! Samantha and Colton are in the process of developing a beautiful vineyard along the Columbia River called, The Narrows. They shared a bottle with us and it is fantastic. Samantha kindly told us about the history of the property, showed us the progress they have made thus far, and shared their future plans. I would be thrilled to leave Scout there again and hope to visit once the winery is fully up and running. A great experience all around. I highly recommend Samantha and Colton for your 4-legged famiy member. Five stars all around!”

“This was our pups first overnight away from his family. Katlyn was a great caregiver to our Ember and even sent us some pictures while we were away. It was also an added bonus that she had a playmate there which was Katlyns dog Luca. I think that helped her feel more at ease and comfortable. A great place to have our dog and will absolutely have her stay there again.”

“Emily blew all my expectations out of the water. She came fully prepared to our interview and asked many detailed questions about my pets. She really went above and beyond, genuinely caring about their welfare (and their nervous mom’s!). My mom met her as well, and felt the same way. Very impressive job! “Our experience with Rebecca was excellent, and our pups experience, too! We were so happy to have updates and pictures throughout the day as it was our first time leaving him and we were a bit nervous. He was so well cared for while we were gone, came home happy and tired, and even got sent the rest of his chew stick home! We will definitely be back without hesitation.”

“Charlie was awesome! We needed some last minute doggy daycare and he came through for us. He clearly loves dogs and has a wonderful property to host them. While watching our guy, he was communicative and attentive to our dog’s needs. We would definitely recommend his services!”

“Sam has a great property for dog sitting, fully fenced in with indoor AC available. My two dogs fully enjoyed their stay, helping with the garden and playing with her adorable pup. I would highly recommend Sam as a pet sitter. 15/10 experience!”

“Mackenzie was fantastic with our Moseley and Mochi was such a fun new friend! The pups were fast friends and had a great time together. So happy to have Makenzie in the Gorge for pup playdates that allow us some time to do things where our pooch cannot join us, all while knowing she is having as much fun as we are!”

We both grew up with family dogs and other pets and we understand the scary feeling of boarding your dog. We are happy to meet and answer any questions before taking in your dog. We will update you daily (at a minimum) of how they are doing, including sending pictures of course. As mentioned, we work from home. Our schedules are very flexible. When we book a stay we plan on staying home and playing with the dogs. We have a fully fenced backyard where our pups love to roam and play. Your dog will be part of the family and free to roam the house and yard as they please.
“Jaleh was wonderful with my dog, made her feel right at home and kept us updated with a sunbathing picture everyday 🤗 I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for coverage for their beloved animal.”
