About: My family always had dogs since I can remember. I hardly miss any opportunity for some dog pets. In the past, I did an internship at a veterinary clinic, and volunteered at an animal sanctuary. I am experienced taking care of young and old pups, and simple medical care is no problem. I have worked at an equine therapy farm and also gained skills on a high country station in NZ working with Clydesdale horses and herding dogs. I will always communicate openly about my schedule during your visit so you are aware of any times I may have to be out of the house. I have a large fenced backyard and a 4-year-old Great Dane to keep your dog company! Thus, for stays in my home your dog must be dog-friendly, non-aggressive, and not afraid of large breeds. I also have four cats. I do have a doggie gate that keeps the cats separated, but one of them can jump the gate as she likes to sit on top of the kitchen cupboards and observe. Aaron and I have two sons, ages 7 and 10. They both have been around dogs their entire lives and are very used to respecting their space and letting dogs warm up to them. With that said, they are still kids. So for stays in our home, your dog will have to be good with other dogs, young kids, and cats. For stays in your home, your dog ideally will be okay with kids but my kids don't always need to come with depending on the dates of the stay.
