“Marcus did a great job in a less than ideal situation. We (me and 5 cats) had just moved to the area one week before I had to leave for a week. Just uprooted from the only home they'd ever known, no routine, boxes everywhere, confined to one room and a stranger coming in to feed them! Marcus did great. Stayed in touch and kept me informed the whole time. Had great suggestions when we had one little hiccup, and kept everybody safe, loved (as much as they'd let him) and fed. They'll be all over him next time!”

About: I am a HUGE Animal Lover, loving all creatures. I am a mature woman who has had animal companions my entire life. I have worked off and on over a 30 year period as a professional pet groomer, and as a pet sitter for family, clients, friends and neighbors. As well as through Rover in California. I was in California for three years, to spend time with my aging/ailing Mother, hence my pic's and reviews aren't local, but for Bandito in dt Portland. But Oregon has been my home since 2000. I moved to La Grande in Dec. after my apartment building in Portland caught fire on 11/30/25. My adult son has lived here for a decade and his Grandparent's the Slaters have been here forever! When I was in Cali. I was able to do boarding/sitting at home on a quarter acre. I am unfenced in a rental here in La Grande, so I am only open to house/pet sitting in your home. I have experience with dogs, cats, Squirrels, pet Rats, Birds and some reptiles. Just ask me if I am willing of what ever it is you have, then show me what needs to be done. And Yes!, open to some farm animals as well! I love ALL of God's creatures! I have been referred to as a Dog Whisperer by friends and family that know me best, as I do well at reading animals energy, expressions, body language and cues. Basically, I love animals and enjoy turning this love into a service for your convenience and mine. I have a short list of requirements for pet sitting: •Dog's must be non aggressive for the safety of the dog(s) and myself. •My Day time Pet Sitting rate is for up to an 8 hour period, additional time will be charged accordingly. If you need more time, please communicate with me and we will come to an agreed rate. Overnight stays have different listed rates. *My Drop In's Rate is for a 30 mins., or a 1 (one) hour period. *My Walk Rate's are for 30 mins., & 60 mins. Dog's must be leashed trained. •Overnight Sitting will have an agreed upon time for you to return before it turns into another charged day. Extra time will be charged accordingly at $10 per hour. Or... •Custom quotes are available for longer stays if you are going off for a weekend or a week long vacation for example. I am for the most part flexible on starting and ending times with longer stays for your travel ease. I am flexible within reason and easy to work with. Please enjoy my photo's and thank you for considering me! I have a small online business that I work at daily in one aspect or another, so this makes my time flexible. If I am house/pet sitting, I can bring some aspect with me so I don't get behind in my endeavors! I am very conscientious about safety for any animal. My current yard is not fenced and my dog has adjusted quickly to holding back while I am first to step out and check the yard for any neighborhood animals, dogs, cats, deer, squirrels and the like. Cat's stay indoors unless they are harnessed and leashed up, or in a cat backpack!

About: I’ve grown up with a variety of animals. From- ferrets, cats, guinea pigs, horses and dogs. I love them all! I’ve taken care of all ages from puppies to seniors. I work Monday-Wednesday full time. 4 days off is amazing, but also makes me a lil stir crazy. And with nice weather upon us, I’d love to get your four legged baby out to get some leg stretches! My dog, Skeeter goes absolutely everywhere with me; from rodeos, hiking, paddleboarding, family BBQs, you name it. If I’m there Skeeter is there. I’m used to high energy so I’d love to get your fur babies tuckered out from a walk! I have a fenced in yard, tracker on my own dogs collars. I’ve instilled recall training in my dogs to create less of a hassle.

About: I’ve taken care of all types of animals/pets. I can clean litter boxes and pick up poo with the best of them. I love to go on walks and scratches and pets are my favorite. I drive school bus, so I have a lot of time on my hands during the day. I take the summer off and should have lots of free time. I have a dog door and a fenced yard. I have 8 chickens and 3 cats and 2 rats and 1 doghtor. We are animal friendly. The cats will stay mostly hidden but one will come out and visit.
