I adopted My Own Cat promptly upon turning 18 (in 2002); Khaki was with me for 18 years, outliving his adopted brother Leo (my sister’s cat), who ended up living with me as well. I’ve also cared for my exes cat (Alli), and my son’s first cat (Lady Grey), and my current grand cats, Cas and Zizi. I am comfortable with litter box training, cleaning messes, handling kitten energy, etc. I can do light grooming (brushing fur, cleaning with wipes, applying powders, etc) and give medications. I have experience helping cats with ear, eye, gastrointestinal, and kidney problems. I typically like to do a little light housekeeping anywhere I stay; I live by the motto of “leave it better than you found it.” I also have a wide range of experience and am comfortable caring for various other pets that might need tending while you’re out. And currently have friendly dogs, cats, goats, chickens on the 62 acre farm. We also have private areas for your pet, away from other animals. We have multiple people on land, and care is upon self or 2-3 others. We allow only one inside house dog at a time and 2-3 in our shaded outdoor pens. We have fenced areas, some outdoor pens, and some animals of the right nature are allowed inside the home, if that is welcomed by their owners/their demeanor is right, during times of extra special personal attention.
About: Hi! I’m River. I was raised with dogs and cats (and birds and turtles and fish) as a child, and as an adult I have raised my own from puppyhood/kittenhood through their senior years. I am comfortable with puppy potty training, litter box training, cleaning messes, handling kitten/puppy energy, etc. I can do light grooming (brushing fur, cleaning with wipes, applying powders, etc) and give medications. (I can even do baths with the right set-up, and advanced notice.) I typically like to do a little light housekeeping anywhere I stay; I live by the motto of “leave it better than you found it.” I also have a wide range of experience and am comfortable caring for various other pets that might need tending while you’re out. In general I love all animals; when asked if I am “a dog person or a cat person,” I say, “yes.” I have done lots of pet-sitting for friends and family (including fostering for a year, to help a friend of a friend while she finished school) and I love meeting and getting to know new animal friends. I am finally joining Rover at the recommendation of many friends and family members who think caring for people’s pets is an excellent job for me. I’m new to Rover, but not new to pet care, and if you trust me with your pets’ care you will find they are in very good hands! I am happy to care for your pets in the way that works best for them: coming regularly to take them for walks, scoop litter boxes, and pick up puppy pads, etc., or staying with them in the comfort of their own home if they need more than drop-in attention. If in-home sitting is needed for extended periods, I may need to leave for a few hours at a time, but I can work around your pet’s needs for specific mealtimes, walk/potty times, etc. I love all pets as the individuals they are, and care for them as if they were my own. You can rely on me to follow detailed instructions, keep you updated, and make sure they are as happy and well-cared-for as can be while you are away.
About: I would love the opportunity to to take care of your pets, farm or home as they were my own. I am experienced with all farm animals and pets including dogs, cats, birds and livestock. I am a lifelong animal lover with three dogs, a special needs cat and a horse of my own who are the center of my world. I can do everything from half hour daily walks and feeding to light housekeeping while you are away. I am also open to taking your well socialized pets to vet appointments or the dog park while you are away. Should you need someone to housesit for you while on vacation I can do light housekeeping as well as barn chores if needed such as turning out livestock and feeding. About: I have had animals my entire life. I currently have a dog and two cats. My senior dog, Pete, passed away on 8/6 at 18. I am comfortable with dogs and cats if all ages, meds, and any other needs they may have. I’m a teacher so I can care for pets before/after school, over weekends. I can do drop ins and long weekend care as well. I can also do morning and afternoon walks. In my home, I am happy to host any dogs over the weekends who are dog and cat friendly. My cats don’t do well with unknown cats, but I can definitely drop in at your home. My home is very clean, safe, and zoned off for various animals. I have gates on my stairs, a gated yard, and locks on all the interior doors.

I grew up with dogs and have a passion for them, I have officially worked with dogs as a profession for 6 years now. I allow dogs on my bed and couches however I continue whatever training you do for your dog while they are with me. I do have a 2year old daughter, she is very good with animals, she does not treat them poorly & she is surprisingly gentle with my extended families dogs. I have a fenced yard, no pets of my own however am able to house dogs. I essentially do what the owner requests, the care depends on each individual family. Everyone trains there dog differently, in regards to furniture, treats and walking. Some owners are more strict and I stick to what the family wants with caring for there pet.
About: I’ve had dogs and cats since I was 7 years old. I currently own 4 dogs of varying sizes and breeds. For the last year I’ve work in veterinary medicine first as a technician assistant and then as a client service representative. I’ve done pet sitting multiple times for family members who had to travel. I work full time, Sunday-Wednesdays. I’m able to stop by early in the morning before work and after work in the afternoon on work days. I’m free for multiple home visits Thursdays-Saturdays I have a large secure yard with 4 very friendly and playful young dogs. I have two XXL kennels, one medium kennel, and a small kennel for dogs who prefer to sleep in a kennel at night.
