“Finding the right fit for taking care of my two older chihuahuas was very stressful, until I came across Julie and Barry. Firstly, my huge requirement was that they had no dogs of their own and secondly, that they would only have one client at a time. That is not super easy to find. And not only do they fulfill both of those requirements, but it is two people instead of one, so it's an incredible amount of care and attention that is given to any animal that they might care for. One of my pups has some pretty major anxiety and Julie knew just what to do with her. She turns on her heating pad and cuddles up on the couch with her, and I can tell that they are very loved while there. And though I know my pups don't like being away from me, they very obviously feel safe and comfortable with both Julie and Barry. They also have a wonderful place for the dogs to be when outside. Our pups are going to board with them soon and we feel 100% comfortable with it, and excited that we have found Julie and Barry. Besides taking great care of the pups, they are lovely people and we have enjoyed getting to know them.”

About: I grew up with animals my whole life. Ive been called the animal whisperer by all my friends. The guy the antisocial cat chooses to sit in the lap of at the party, the person the my partners dog leaves them for, the guy who tames the horse that wont let anyone bridal. About: While growing up I have always had a dog in the home. I’m a huge dog lover and don’t know what I would do if I did not have a dog in my life. I remember when my parents let me chose our next dog when I was young. I chose a sheltie and named him Arrow. The reason for the name Arrow was when I went to pick him up I noticed in his fur on the back of his head was an arrow. I loved taking care of Arrow and we had a special bond! I loved taking him on walks and he loved chasing me around the house. When I turned 15 I started to take care of one of my neighbors cats and fish when they went on vacations. After completing one summer, I started taking care of their cats and fish for the next eight years before I moved out. Once the rest of my neighbors found out I was known in the neighborhood for taking care of my neighbors dogs and cats when they were on vacations! I currently work full time, however work three 12 hours shifts. I’m currently off Friday-Monday. So I’m available for the weekends, so perfect for anyone wanting to do a weekend getaway! I don’t have a fenced backyard. However, have a small backyard that is used for potty breaks. It does have a small area of grass turf (fake grass). The good news we live in Fairview in the Fairview Terrace community. We have a very large area for dogs. So your dog will have lots of playtime in the grassy area. Also, the neighborhood is perfect for walking your dog as well. The community is fenced and a gated community as well. Our community is very dog friendly and many pet owners. We also have a micro mini Golden doodle. So your dog will have a playmate as well. We can also send photos of your pet to you while on vacation to help with the separation. I know when I go on vacation I have a hard time leaving my fur baby behind. For me, getting photos of my fur baby made the vacation a little easier!

About: I’ve had dogs for as long as I can remember, the first dog I got was when I was 5 and I would walk her and play with her and teach her tricks. We currently have 3 dogs at my dads with a cat and 2 dogs at my moms house. I love spending time with animals and having fun with them I am currently in college playing softball and am home for the summer so I am free and looking to spend some time with animals and make some extra money! I can provide whatever care a client wants/do what they normally do for their animals and follow whatever a schedule an owner has setup for their animal.

About: I’ve worked in Veterinary medicine for 16+ years which includes Kennel/Veterinary Assistant in a general practice ,Emergency Veterinary Medicine for almost 6 years now. I moved from Maine in the summer of 2024. About: I've had many pets since I was a young child. My grandparents had a farm so I've had experience with all sorts of animals. My dream is to have an animal sanctuary some day. I believe it's important to provide care to an animal in their home to limit stress and disruption to their normal routine. I have 3 dogs at home. Many of my home cleaning clients have animals so I'm exposed to all types of pets on a daily basis. Walking dogs provides exercise not only to the dog but for me as well.
