I put in my request for a 1 week house sitter with only 1 day notice… I was so anxious I wouldn’t be able to find anyone, but Abigail responded within minutes that she was available. I was so relieved after meeting Abigail at my home and showing her all of my fur baby’s favorites. My kitty is only 10 months old so I am being a bit of a helicopter mom! I requested Abigail to take 1 picture every day if possible. She did not disappoint! When we returned, the house looked exactly as we left it. About: As an animal lover, I'd consider myself very experienced with animals of all kinds. I grew up with dogs, cats, birds, and horses. Before losing him in the fall of 2023, I raised and cared for my dog, Chaps, for 12 years. It was a great 12 years, and I loved spending time training him. "Sit" and "down" are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the tricks Chaps could do. I am very comfortable with pets of all sizes. About: I’ve worked with dogs since I was a child. I’ve been exposed to large dog breeds (ex. Rottweilers & German Shepherds) as well as small dog breeds (ex. corgis & dachshund's). I am a certified dog trainer, with 9 years experience and can work in some Basic Obedience work with your dog during their stay or we can talk about some behavior modification and steps to move forward for private lessons. I currently work part time and have plenty of time and energy to work with and take care of your pup. I work with my own dogs twice a day but those sessions are very flexible. I don’t currently have a fully fenced in yard, but I have access to 5 private acres I can walk your pup on a long line. I utilize martingale collars to prevent any mishaps or escaping. I utilize positive reinforcement to connect and have clear communication with each dog I interact with.
