About: I have two cats, and have experience watching other people’s cats and kittens! I understand how to interact with cats, and know they are much different than dogs! I love playing with cats, making sure they can get their hunting instinct out, feeding them/giving treats afterwards, and just hanging out with them! I will never force interactions, and instead let them come to me. Upon meeting cats I let them sniff me and I come down to their level.

About: If you're a dog lover, you should have dogs, right? I've had dogs all my life and we currently have two small well-behaved dogs, Daisy and Buddy, both under 20 lbs. My 23-year-old son Sam is a co-sitter (I'm primary) and your doggie will receive all the love it can handle! Sam used to volunteer as a dog walker at the Maui Humane Society when we lived on Maui and we spent Saturdays at the pet-a-puppy adoption gathering at the Maui Mall. Animals seem to know we're safe and loving and tend to come to us when they need help. We've rescued a duckling, a Mynah bird, a baby squirrel, a lost kitten, and two adult dogs, caring for them in our homes until appropriately placed or returned to their owners. We also took part in a humpback whale rescue when visiting Maui Feb 2023. I work from home as an instructional designer; my son is an student in animation and is also at home and absolutely adores every animal he ever met. Two responsible adults are here at all times, so this makes it easy to give your fur baby the attention it deserves. Our dogs are indoor dogs and have free roam of our house. We have a large, fenced, dog-friendly backyard for exercise. Our two small friendly dogs can show your dog the ropes. We recommend a visit prior to placement so they can all get acquainted.
About: I can’t pass a dog without wanting to give it love and attention! I truly believe dogs make life better and are good for the soul. Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember — from a Shar Pei and a Standard Poodle to a wolf hybrid, and most recently a rescue Pittie-Boxer mix. I grew up with Samoyeds (fluffy white sled dogs) and was so happy when I was able to get one of my own 13 years ago, and since then I have also adopted a Heeler mix. About: I’m an undergraduate environmental science student at Portland State. I recently worked as a student research technician, handling and tracking frogs and documenting their habitats. My family has had our fair share of dogs and cats over the years, which contributed to my love for animals and the outdoors. She is now healthy and happy, on a strict schedule requiring medicine by mouth every 12 hours. Each pet I’ve been lucky to have has taught me something, and I’ve had to learn from her the most. She is a high maintenance kitty who doesn’t like pets. Though I've marked weekdays starting in late September as unavailable for the time being due to classes starting, I may still be able to provide services. My goal is to spend quality time with your pet(s) and work with you to figure out a schedule that works best for them. I'm available for walks, overnight stays, and/or check-ins throughout the day depending on their needs. I'm most compatible with pets who can be left alone for 4-8 hours, as I have personal responsibilities and may need to walk a dog or check in with someone else's pets (or my own!). --- My current nightly rates are intended for 12 hour care (ex: 6 PM to 6 AM, 8 PM to 8 AM, etc.) and 2-4 drop in visits throughout the day, depending on your need and my availability. “Brittany and her husband were amazing. They made our pup, Alaska, super comfortable from the initial meet and greet and let her roam around their house. You can tell how much they love dogs and they treated her like their own. Alaska has a ton of energy and they kept her busy with lots of playtime and walks and they even did some training. She’s very observant of all of Alaska’s habits and asked really great question to really establish the best stay for Alaska. Brittany stayed in contact and sent photos and videos throughout Alaska’s stay which made me feel super assured that my pup was not only safe, but legitimately having the time of her life. I highly recommend her and will definitely book with her again.”

She provides a great environment for the pups according to their needs (and our dog is needy) to make them feel safe and comfortable. She was great at asking questions on some of the details we had mentioned in our instructions and we loved getting daily updates. She also has a great sense of humor which is always a plus when we were messaging each other on how things were going. It was such a comfort knowing our dog was in great care while we were away.
