About: I’ve always been the person who stops to pet every dog or cat I see around the neighborhood, so getting to spend more time with animals is pretty much my idea of a good day. 🐾 I have experience caring for cats in a few different settings: cat sitting for neighbors, caring for dogs and cats as a Kennel Attendant at VCA Rock Creek Hospital, and providing pet care for clients through my local animal-care company, Tails and Trails. I currently volunteer at Animal Aid as a Socializer and Caregiver, where I help care for cats in need of homes. About: If you're a dog lover, you should have dogs, right? I've had dogs all my life and we currently have two small well-behaved dogs, Daisy and Buddy, both under 20 lbs. My 23-year-old son Sam is a co-sitter (I'm primary) and your doggie will receive all the love it can handle! Sam used to volunteer as a dog walker at the Maui Humane Society when we lived on Maui and we spent Saturdays at the pet-a-puppy adoption gathering at the Maui Mall. Animals seem to know we're safe and loving and tend to come to us when they need help. We've rescued a duckling, a Mynah bird, a baby squirrel, a lost kitten, and two adult dogs, caring for them in our homes until appropriately placed or returned to their owners. We also took part in a humpback whale rescue when visiting Maui Feb 2023. I work from home as an instructional designer; my son is an student in animation and is also at home and absolutely adores every animal he ever met. Two responsible adults are here at all times, so this makes it easy to give your fur baby the attention it deserves. Our dogs are indoor dogs and have free roam of our house. We have a large, fenced, dog-friendly backyard for exercise. Our two small friendly dogs can show your dog the ropes. We recommend a visit prior to placement so they can all get acquainted.

I work to follow each pet parent’s normal routine as closely as possible while making sure their pup receives plenty of attention, exercise, potty breaks, and affection throughout their stay. 🌅 Morning: Our first outdoor potty break is typically between 7:00–8:00 AM. ☀️ Lunch: Around lunchtime, we head outside for a good walk and potty break, giving your pup an opportunity to stretch their legs, explore, and get some fresh air. 🍽️ Dinner: Dinner and another outdoor break are typically around 6:00–7:00 PM. About: I have been around dogs my entire life, beginning with growing up alongside a German Shepherd. My lifelong experience with dogs has given me a strong understanding of their needs, personalities, and the importance of body language. I got to meet my best friend and soul dog, Nabi, in 2018. She was my absolute world. In 2024, a tragic loss happened due to unexpected health emergency while I was traveling, That heartbreaking experience changed how I view pet care forever. “Brittany and her husband were amazing. They made our pup, Alaska, super comfortable from the initial meet and greet and let her roam around their house. You can tell how much they love dogs and they treated her like their own. Alaska has a ton of energy and they kept her busy with lots of playtime and walks and they even did some training. She’s very observant of all of Alaska’s habits and asked really great question to really establish the best stay for Alaska. Brittany stayed in contact and sent photos and videos throughout Alaska’s stay which made me feel super assured that my pup was not only safe, but legitimately having the time of her life. I highly recommend her and will definitely book with her again.”

She provides a great environment for the pups according to their needs (and our dog is needy) to make them feel safe and comfortable. She also has a great sense of humor which is always a plus when we were messaging each other on how things were going. It was such a comfort knowing our dog was in great care while we were away.
