About: I always jump at the opportunity to pet, play, cuddle with any dog but I am also a former dog mom of 10 years which means I have experience doing all of the things a dog parent does: grooming, trimming nails, feeding, walking/hiking, training (potty/walks/kennel/sit, stay, etc.), cleaning up doggy messes, socializing, administering medicine, establishing a schedule, etc. I am very active so I can keep up with your dog's energy and can also be their cuddle buddy when they're tired! “Finding the right fit for taking care of my two older chihuahuas was very stressful, until I came across Julie and Barry. Firstly, my huge requirement was that they had no dogs of their own and secondly, that they would only have one client at a time. That is not super easy to find. And not only do they fulfill both of those requirements, but it is two people instead of one, so it's an incredible amount of care and attention that is given to any animal that they might care for. One of my pups has some pretty major anxiety and Julie knew just what to do with her. She turns on her heating pad and cuddles up on the couch with her, and I can tell that they are very loved while there. And though I know my pups don't like being away from me, they very obviously feel safe and comfortable with both Julie and Barry. They also have a wonderful place for the dogs to be when outside. Our pups are going to board with them soon and we feel 100% comfortable with it, and excited that we have found Julie and Barry. About: I have had dogs since I was 16. Cats since I was 20. I have also owned various other animals, including livestock. My schooling helped me learn general animal care and I have had the same dog trainer for 20 years. Our pets have regular vet care. I pet sit for friends and family often, both at their homes and in our own home. Just informational, I do live with males, including teens, who have attended dog training classes and help when I need to step out if the house. I also have a very large yard for lots of running and exercise. I work fill time, but remote. I can choose to be from home or in office so am available to watch pets at home all day, when needed. We have a large fully fenced yard. We do have chickens, but they are gated in their own area. I have a pet gate to keep dogs from going downstairs unattended and a door as backup. I provide a pet water fountain for constant fresh and flowing hydration. Pets get regular treats and training refreshers to keep their minds sharp and engaged. My house is inundated with both cat and dog toys for constant entertainment.
