“Finding the right fit for taking care of my two older chihuahuas was very stressful, until I came across Julie and Barry. Firstly, my huge requirement was that they had no dogs of their own and secondly, that they would only have one client at a time. That is not super easy to find. And not only do they fulfill both of those requirements, but it is two people instead of one, so it's an incredible amount of care and attention that is given to any animal that they might care for. One of my pups has some pretty major anxiety and Julie knew just what to do with her. She turns on her heating pad and cuddles up on the couch with her, and I can tell that they are very loved while there. And though I know my pups don't like being away from me, they very obviously feel safe and comfortable with both Julie and Barry. They also have a wonderful place for the dogs to be when outside. Our pups are going to board with them soon and we feel 100% comfortable with it, and excited that we have found Julie and Barry. Besides taking great care of the pups, they are lovely people and we have enjoyed getting to know them.”

About: I have had dogs since I was 16. Cats since I was 20. I have also owned various other animals, including livestock. My schooling helped me learn general animal care and I have had the same dog trainer for 20 years. Our pets have regular vet care. I pet sit for friends and family often, both at their homes and in our own home. Just informational, I do live with males, including teens, who have attended dog training classes and help when I need to step out if the house. I also have a very large yard for lots of running and exercise. I work fill time, but remote. I can choose to be from home or in office so am available to watch pets at home all day, when needed. We have a large fully fenced yard. We do have chickens, but they are gated in their own area. I have a pet gate to keep dogs from going downstairs unattended and a door as backup. I provide a pet water fountain for constant fresh and flowing hydration. Pets get regular treats and training refreshers to keep their minds sharp and engaged. My house is inundated with both cat and dog toys for constant entertainment.

Walks at parks and in nature or around the neighborhood are a regular part of our day. We are retired and spend a lot of our time traveling in Southern California and Mexico. We provide a safe calm environment in your home and keep your pets' normal routines. We will be bringing our dog with us and she is well adjusted to changing environments and meeting new animal friends. Housesitting is part of our travel strategy and we have received many positive reviews over the past few years. I also have done some dog training and animals are comfortable around us. We are retired and take several walks a day. Our schedule is very flexible. We like to be able to take your dogs in the car for walking adventures if they are comfortable with that. We give your pets lots of snuggles. We aim to follow and maintain the normal, expected routines of the pets we care for. We give them lots of attention and send pics to their owners.

I take time to make sure your cat or dog feels safe, seen, and cared for before I leave. For walks, I make sure your dog gets exercise and mental stimulation while staying safe and comfortable. I’m happy to adjust the pace and route based on their energy level, age, or mobility. I always prioritize leash safety, weather-appropriate care, and positive interactions. For overnight stays, I always leave each home in its original condition. I recognize I’m a guest in someone’s sacred space and I treat it as such. I am considerate of other’s homes and do what I can to ensure animals feel safe and comfortable with me in their space. I always appreciate detailed care instructions for overnight stays but I do listen, ask lots of questions at meet and greets, and take detailed notes of my own so I don’t forget anything. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and communicative. You’ll get regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands!

About: I've taken care of all kinds of animals ever since I can remember I love and care about all animals and would treat yours like my own! I'm a stay at home mom at the moment so I'm just looking for extra money to make so I can go out and do more things with my kids! I can definitely help leash train if that's something you would need or train in any other way I've trained every animal I've had so it's pretty easy for me!

They took them for walks and they also had cages for them. They also have a big backyard where they can roam freely and it was fully fenced, which was such a relief.
