I had a successful training business of 10 years and also do k9 search and Rescue with my beloved border collie, Arlo. I am currently accepting drop in visit requests only as I’ve had to step away from training for a while due to some major surgeries and figured this would be a great way to earn additional income while still allowing me the opportunity to interact with some new dogs and hopefully, meet some new long term clients. “Kayla was awesome! My dogs are very “needy” (lol) and require a lot of time and attention. I needed a day where I could just solely focus on work and getting things done. Also, they hadn’t had a bath or groomed in awhile and their fur was starting to get matted so thought I’d get that done also. I messaged Kayla asking if she was available that week to watch them/bath & brush them. She offered to take them immediately that day! She was very nice when I met her and made me feel comfortable. She took so much care and time with grooming them while also making sure they were comfortable to make sure that she got all the matts out that she actually kept them until 9pm with no extra charge. She also kept me updated every step of the way. My boys came home so soft and clean and I could also tell she tired them out because they both came home and went straight to sleep. She sent me lots of photos of them playing which made me happy to know that they had a great time!”

In the meantime, I'd love to love on your pup! We have had GSD's or GSD mixes for over 25 years. We LOVE the breed and their loyalty. I know that they have to be worked and engaged in order to be "good" dogs! So, let me help you get some of their energy out and give them some of the mental stimulation they need. Our Greta was very well behaved. She did have formal training but as you know, that means I was trained as well. While we got very lax in training (she was 11 years old), I am willing to bring back some of that knowledge and work with yours while on a walk. That is the best time as the reset (calm, rest) afterwards is so important. While I don't mind other dogs, GSD's are definitely my favorite! I'm willing to walk any age and know the demands of stimulation at each age is so different. I occasionally walk my friends Golden Retriever. He is such a good boy but really just loves leisurely strolls while checking out all the pee-mail! I will be walking your dog while my husband is at work and I will come to your home to get the pup! I currently work a seasonal position January through April. The kids are now grown and either out of the house or in college. So, that leaves me somewhat flexible. I do have family out of the area that I will be going to help occasionally but I am definitely looking forward to working this into my weekday mornings and early afternoons. Since I'm only offering dog walking at this time, I'll plan to come to your place, retrieve your dog and head out for a walk! You would just need to provide a collar, leash and bags to clean up! Your dog will be returned at the desired time and will continue his/her napping until you return!

I have 2 dogs, one a rescue and they are my entire world, and I would love to bring that energy to your sweet fur baby! I have house sat for several pets over the years as well as checked in, walked, and played with to ensure enrichment and that they don't get lonely! I would love the opportunity to help you care for your sweet creatures! I have a very flexible schedule and am available at most hours of the day and just about any day of the week, to check in on your furbaby! In my home, my dogs are my world. They are played with and walked each day, they have a structured diet, and they are ALWAYS allowed to snuggle on the couch (although I respect if this is not the case in your home)! I greet my dogs and other pets with love and joy. I ensure water is always available, and that they have access to the window so that they can watch outside while I am away. I firmly believe in using all of these when taking care of any pet!
About: Ever since I was a child, I was responsible for the care of a variety of animals, and I mean solely responsible. Growing up (and today), I was the one that friends and family came to for pet sitters and care/training advice. I prioritize following pet care instructions to a tee- I do not cut corners on even the most “meticulous” of care instructions. With me, you can trust that your fur babies will receive the highest quality of care and attention because of my intrinsic love for animals. I do this because I love it, not for the money. Currently, I am a dog walker for three dogs, but I would love the opportunity to care for other people’s furry family members on top of that. I am free to walk dogs Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. I am free to board dogs and cats Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I am free to check in on your furry friends at home pretty much whenever, we can work out the details further when the time comes. - For checking in on pets: When in a client’s home, I am very careful to respect their belongings and privacy. I ensure that I only get into spaces that they instruct me to. *Please be aware: I take my boyfriend with me to house visits for safety precautions, he does not meddle with anything of course, he is just there to ensure my safety (meeting with strangers on the internet is scary, lol.)* - For boarding dogs: *Please be aware: For dogs, I can only care for small puppies. Unfortunately, we have a rescue dog who is reactive to adult dogs due to trauma. But, he is gentle as can be with small puppies and any sort of cats. We also have two cats who are dog friendly, so please ensure that your pup is good with cats* Also, I have a fenced in yard and a whole house for your baby to roam. -For boarding cats: We have two cats here, and though they are fairly cat friendly, I do not intend for them to meet client cats so as to avoid unnecessary stress on my and your cats. So, cats will remain separated. Your cat will be allowed to free roam a certain level of the house for hours, then will be switched out to another level of the house for hours (all while being blocked off from the resident kitties.) Of course, constant supervision will be in place for the entirety of their stay. Your kitty will also sleep in a room with me for the night. - For dog walking: Please provide dog poop bags and, if wanted, any sort of treats you would like for the walk. I require meeting dog walking clients in public places for safety precautions. Also, please let me know of any commands, work, or quirks (chasing after animals, dog aggressive, etc.) that you’d like me to keep in mind for our walks.
About: What sets me apart as a sitter is my strong experience working with dogs and puppies of all sizes, breeds, and energy levels. I’ve been caring for animals since I was young, starting with pets belonging to family and friends, which helped me build a solid foundation of hands-on experience with dogs in everyday home environments. I’m especially comfortable with puppies and understand the patience and consistency they need while learning routines like potty training, crate training, leash walking, and basic commands. My goal is always to create a safe, trusting environment where dogs feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for. I also provide regular updates, photos, and communication so you always know how your pet is doing while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, especially with my availability in the afternoons and evenings. Since I work part time, I have ample time during the day to give pets the attention, exercise, and care they need. I enjoy spending my evenings going on walks, which would make it easy and consistent for me to provide daily exercise and outdoor time. I also look forward to using my free time for play, feeding, and bonding activities that help build trust and comfort with pets. In my home or a client’s home, I provide pet care with consistency, attentiveness, and respect for the animal’s routine and comfort level. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, portion sizes, medication instructions if needed, and any specific preferences the owner provides. I make sure pets always have fresh water, regular meals, and a clean, safe environment. I prioritize daily exercise and enrichment through walks, playtime, and interaction suited to the pet’s age, energy level, and personality. I also focus on building trust through calm, patient handling and positive attention. In a client’s home, I am mindful of maintaining the space exactly as instructed, keeping things clean and secure, and making sure the pet feels comfortable in their familiar environment. I understand the importance of routine, so I do my best to keep things as normal and stress-free as possible for the pet while their owner is away. Overall, my approach is to care for each pet as if they were my own—providing reliable, loving, and responsible care tailored to their individual needs
