About: I've had dogs and cats my whole life and have always played a large part in taking care of them. With my love of pets I became a Veterinary Technician and I've worked in the Veterinary field for over 16 years. I've worked in general practice and emergency. Along with working in Vet Med I have always done petsitting. I have also taken care of rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets and a bearded dragon! I have a passion for what I do and take great pride in giving amazing care to your pets. I have experience with all ages, all sizes and all breeds. Medication? No problem! I have experience with diabetic pets, therefore I am able to give injections or oral medications if needed! Formerly a puppy trainer, I have taken on a more independent role. I am available full time and I am very adventurous on my free time and love going hiking with my pup. I would love to allow your pet to join along in the fun! Whether you need a daily walk, weekly care, or going out of town, I can make sure your furry family members are loved and cared for. I make sure to build trust and a bond with the pets and safety is my biggest priority! When walking dogs, must be provided with leash and collar/harness or fenced in yard.

“Our Goldendoodle Posey is a “spicy girl” and we couldn’t just leave her with anyone. Karla was our trainer at Take The Lead Dog Training and we were so impressed with her skills at helping to train our strong willed and somewhat naughty girl. I was able to enjoy my vacation and not worry about Posey because I knew she was in good hands. Posey got the chance to get some socialization with other dogs which she needed.
