“I would describe Chef’s stay with Elle as like staying in a Camp doggie … full of activities like off leash hiking In a park morning and/or afternoon , playing frisbee/ball in their big backyard with her family , and if you get lucky like Chef, you get to learn how to swim in the pool and learn how to jump like those agility courses . Chef stayed overnight for 5 nights , and he was treated like family . We are so lucky to have found Elle to watch our dog. And it was so nice that he gets to play with their border collie Eve , as well as other dogs in Elle’s care for the day . It’s really a nice feeling to leave your dog to a family that enjoys taking care of them as well as knowledgeable and very confident in all things doggie ? Oh and while we were away , we got so many updates like pics, videos of every activity that they did . It was fun to watch and very reassuring to see . Thank you very very much !”

About: I’ve had 2+ dogs in my entire life. In my adult life I’ve had 2+ service dogs that travel with me. I am a critical care nurse who has taken pet CPR as far as safety. I have emergency meds as well. Luckily, I have a house with a fences in yard, animal friendly household with spare rooms and a heated/cooled garage/closed/secured garage for any kind of special separation needs (in heat/aggressive breeds/outside animals, etc). Currently off enjoying a break from work, .. . So as of now, my schedule is very flexible. My household/fenced backyard/garage, is sectioned off pretty nicely. As a veterinary technician, I play the nurse role of the veterinary team. I graduated from Kent State University with my Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology in May of 2021 and am currently pursuing my Bachelor's of Integrated Studies focused in animal behavior. While in school for my technician license, I gained various hands-on skills with a variety of animals, from dogs and cats to birds, horses, snakes, and much more. Outside of school, I have trained at numerous veterinary hospitals and gained vital experience in CPR and emergency response. My personal experience caring for animals expands far beyond my education and career, as I have cared for my own, family's, and friend's pets my entire life. As previously mentioned, I have a vast range of experience with different species from small pocket pets and reptiles to large and farm animals. While I do personalize my schedule to fit your pet specifically, my typical day is scheduled like this and changed as needed, just to give you a better idea of your pet's time with me: When I arrive, I always spend time making sure your pet is happy, comfortable, and has everything they need. When staying with them overnight, I will keep them company until morning, make sure they have everything they need and get some pets or playtime in, then I will leave as needed to tend to any other appointments, making sure to return to check-in and spend time with them at minimum every 3-4 hours, unless more frequently is needed. Whether you just need a daily check in and play time for your cat while you're away, or if you need someone to take your pup out every couple of hours along with walks and lots of play time, or even if you have an older pup who can't really spend time alone at all, we can definitely make a plan to suit your family purrr-fectly. Your pet's safety is always my top priority. Whether at home, in the car, at the vet, out for a walk, or at the park, I am always extremely diligent to make sure your pet stays safe and sound. I always use doggy seatbelts or enclosures when driving, reflective strips and flashlights at night, ramps and manual assistance for mobility-challenged pups, predator-deterrent to protect them from harm, and vet-approved chews or boredom busters to make sure your pup is happier and healthier when you arrive back home. Out of an abundance of caution, I typically do not have pets I'm watching interact with other pets I'm unfamiliar with (ie: no communal dog parks). In the case that anything does happen while I am with them, I am trained on the safest and most effective way to stop a dog fight, as well as being trained in CPR, emergency triage and response, and homeostatic stabilization. I also always have a list of the nearest emergency hospitals on hand should they ever be needed. I strive to follow all pet-parent's wants and needs for their pets, including whatever training or rules you may have for your pet while they are in my care (crating, treats, toys, etc). “I would describe Chef’s stay with Elle as like staying in a Camp doggie … full of activities like off leash hiking In a park morning and/or afternoon , playing frisbee/ball in their big backyard with her family , and if you get lucky like Chef, you get to learn how to swim in the pool and learn how to jump like those agility courses . Chef stayed overnight for 5 nights , and he was treated like family . We are so lucky to have found Elle to watch our dog. And it was so nice that he gets to play with their border collie Eve , as well as other dogs in Elle’s care for the day . It’s really a nice feeling to leave your dog to a family that enjoys taking care of them as well as knowledgeable and very confident in all things doggie ?
