“We have been booking with Heather for our 5 animals for years now. Heather and her husband watch our 4 dogs and cat once a year for our vacation. I schedule my vacations around them now because I don’t trust anyone else with my kids. I love that they always send daily updates with pictures and let me know any concerns they have (my one dog is getting old and stiff. Heather’s husband told me that he was bumping into things and might be developing some eyesight issues). They are very attentive. One year my cat and one dog got into a tiff (as they do sometimes) and Heather immediately contacted me and told me about it and told me she separated them to cool down. I have a very nervous rescue that does not like anyone but I get pictures of her laying with Heather and her husband. I have only ever seen this dog hug my husband or I in the 3 years we have had her but she hugs them. This tells me all I need to know since Ivy doesn’t trust anyone. My dogs seem to feel comfortable when I leave them there and not panicked. My cat and older dog take medicine daily and Heather gets my stubborn cat to take her medicine with no problem. I have a very flexible schedule working retail and picking up substitute teaching so I can work with you to make sure your pets get the car they need when they need it! “Jess took exceptional care of our older Bernese Mtn dog, Gracie. Just as her background on Rover indicates, Jess is well-versed in special care with administering meds and handling our dog who has some issues with weakness. Her care goes beyond those two qualities! Our dog loved her stay there as to how great she looked when we picked her up! Jess gave us a daily photo update and stayed connected with us about an issue Gracie had, which was quickly resolved. Wonderful peace of mind. We can't say enough great things about Jess. She is the best!”
“We have been booking with Heather for our 5 animals for years now. Heather and her husband watch our 4 dogs and cat once a year for our vacation. I schedule my vacations around them now because I don’t trust anyone else with my kids. I love that they always send daily updates with pictures and let me know any concerns they have (my one dog is getting old and stiff. Heather’s husband told me that he was bumping into things and might be developing some eyesight issues). They are very attentive. One year my cat and one dog got into a tiff (as they do sometimes) and Heather immediately contacted me and told me about it and told me she separated them to cool down. I have a very nervous rescue that does not like anyone but I get pictures of her laying with Heather and her husband. I have only ever seen this dog hug my husband or I in the 3 years we have had her but she hugs them. This tells me all I need to know since Ivy doesn’t trust anyone. My dogs seem to feel comfortable when I leave them there and not panicked. My cat and older dog take medicine daily and Heather gets my stubborn cat to take her medicine with no problem. Your pets are safe with them.”

About: I have been a lover of animals for as long as I can remember. From horses, to kitties, to dogs and rabbits, I’ve watched and cared for them all. I love meeting new critters! I have a very flexible schedule working retail and picking up substitute teaching so I can work with you to make sure your pets get the car they need when they need it! I have a sweet baby boy cat who has not had problems with other animals, but can play or leave alone if needed. We have a large house with plenty of room. A nice backyard as well to run and play! If I am at your home, I will follow any directions you have to make sure that your pets get the same care that you would give them!
About: It brings me great joy to care for animals. I love rescues, seniors, energetic animals, loafers and grumpy pets. I refer to all dogs as puppies. I see the puppy in them always, even the grumpy ones. With a scared or unsure dog, I don’t try to make friendship happen. I’m happy to simply be with them, provide comfort and let them decide when we’re buddies. I worked for several years at a local veterinary practice and about two years in an emergency veterinary hospital, working with a wide variety of dogs, cats and birds. I’ve also had dogs and cats throughout my life, including adult rescues. I also have farm-sitting experience caring for chickens, ducks, geese, quail, rabbits, turtles, pigs, sheep, goats and turkeys. I’ve spent time around cattle, zebras, donkeys and horses as well and am always open to learning and expanding my experience. My schedule is currently very flexible, with plenty of room in my day for the dogs in my care. Our days naturally include outside time, walks, play, meals, companionship and plenty of time to relax. I’m happy to adjust that rhythm around what your dog is accustomed to at home. We have a spacious fenced-in backyard and one friendly, active senior pup who enjoys having company. I’ll learn your dog’s normal routine, what they enjoy, what makes them nervous and any little quirks that help them feel comfortable. I’m happy to follow their normal feeding, sleeping and crate routine if they have one. Ours is a genuinely animal-friendly home where furry friends are welcome to get comfortable, including on the furniture and bed.

About: I’ve had a passion for caring for animals since I was a child. I have 25+ years experience ranging from dog walking to in-home boarding. I have two dogs of my own. I am also well-experienced with senior dogs and bring a very calm demeanor. I am currently taking a break from corporate life and have flexible availability! I am typically available any time M-F, though occasionally I travel on weekends. I have a fully fenced in yard with two dogs at home. My dogs are social and love meeting new friends! I know that it can be unsettling for a dog to stay in someone else’s home, but we’re pros at welcoming others into our pack!
