About: Studied at The Ohio State Agricultural Technical Institute. I have previous experience working in a dog kennel at Sharon Center Veterinary Hospital. Am comfortable with injections and giving other forms of medication via pill and topical. I have experience working with nervous and excited dogs, young and elderly, even disabled. About: Growing up my mom was a vet so we’ve always had many animals in our home I would help care for! Since being a military spouse I have watched many cats abs dogs of all ages for other families stationed here and at former military bases I have watched pets for many other families none military related as well!! I have plenty of references. I also own a few fur babies of my own, a Great Dane that is 4 and 2 cats ages 4 and 9 months! I would love to help care for your pets while you’re away and treat them as if they are my own. I’m available to do pet sitting over night in my home, dog walks and I’m available to come to your home as well for a few hours if needed. About: It brings me great joy to care for animals. I love rescues, seniors, energetic animals, loafers and grumpy pets. I refer to all dogs as puppies. I see the puppy in them always, even the grumpy ones. With a scared or unsure dog, I don’t try to make friendship happen. I’m happy to simply be with them, provide comfort and let them decide when we’re buddies. I worked for several years at a local veterinary practice and about two years in an emergency veterinary hospital, working with a wide variety of dogs, cats and birds. I’ve also had dogs and cats throughout my life, including adult rescues. I also have farm-sitting experience caring for chickens, ducks, geese, quail, rabbits, turtles, pigs, sheep, goats and turkeys. I’ve spent time around cattle, zebras, donkeys and horses as well and am always open to learning and expanding my experience. My schedule is currently very flexible, with plenty of room in my day for the dogs in my care. Our days naturally include outside time, walks, play, meals, companionship and plenty of time to relax. I’m happy to adjust that rhythm around what your dog is accustomed to at home. We have a spacious fenced-in backyard and one friendly, active senior pup who enjoys having company. I’ll learn your dog’s normal routine, what they enjoy, what makes them nervous and any little quirks that help them feel comfortable. I’m happy to follow their normal feeding, sleeping and crate routine if they have one. Ours is a genuinely animal-friendly home where furry friends are welcome to get comfortable, including on the furniture and bed.
