“Kirsten and Nicolas were great! They sent pics during the whole stay and were very communicative. They also have a fenced in back yard that they let the dogs run around in. They updated us when the pups appetites were low, which I really appreciated. Both of our dogs tend to be anxious without us because they aren’t used to used to being alone, so it was also a big plus that they work from home. In the past we have had to send our pups to kennels because we don’t have friends or family near by who can watch them. They would be locked in a kennel all day and we would literally have to pay extra for belly rubs or time out of the kennel. I usually feel uneasy the whole trip but not this time. About: Growing up on a farm set the stage for providing and caring for all sorts of animals. Many years spent showing horses, lambs, goats, market hogs and all sorts of small animals in 4H. After college I started working with standardbred race horses as a groom. Since then for the past 6 years I have worked with racehorses, broodmares and foals. About: Even at a young age, I have seven years of skillful experience in multi-species care ranging from shelter medicine, to low-cost spay & neuter services, to currently mixed animal practice. The last five years, I have been expanding my skill set as an employed veterinary assistant. I’ve dealt with every age before from puppies to senior dogs, so I’m no stranger to clean up and administering medication. I guarantee I will treat your animals with the love and care they deserve! I work part time currently but will be having a lot more availability as I go back to school. I should be available everyday as times may vary. I always take proper precautions when taking care of animals, especially outside. Depending on owners preference, I will always make sure they are with me in the safety of a yard or on a leash. They will always remain with me and in my sight.
About: I personally have a German Shepard and a Chiweenie at home so I have experience with both big and small dogs. I usually take care of my parents dachshunds when needed. I’m currently at home while my kids are in school so I’ll be free during the day to take care of pets. I can do scheduled evening visits occasionally. I can walk, bathe, visit, play, give water and food, or take them outside if needed. I can provide treats on my visit and meet them so they can trust me.

“I was so surprised by Puzzles reaction when Chasta came in. He jumped on her and was ready to go with her. He has always refused to leave the house with out me. He would never go on walks with anyone other than myself or my boyfriend. It took him a 6 months to even trust my boyfriend to walk him he refused to go. I’m an OCD dog Mom and l am very protective of my fur baby. If I didn’t have an inner ear issue this week and felt so guilty of not being able to walk him. I never would have even contacted Rover for a walk. I’m not comfortable with other people walking my dog or anything this is a first for me! I’m very happy I reached out and chose Chasta, I recommend to anyone who is OCD over their pup and needs help with walks when your sick or whenever you can’t walk your Pup to choose Chasta.. About: I was fortunate to spend 4 years at Pennsylvania State University experiencing and learning companion and exotic animal: care, nutrition and behavior. Since graduation I have worked 2 and 1/2 years as a veterinarian’s assistant and receptionist, which has given me great experiences. Additionally, since I was in high school I have enjoyed pet sitting for my friends and neighbors, I have started pet sitting for my clinic’s clients and would be happy to do more for the community. I am currently working 3 and 1/2 days during the week. I am completely open on Wednesdays, Thursday mornings and weekends. However, with at least 2 weeks notice I can be flexible about the days I have off my full time job. I am very amenable to your pets needs, my experience includes: a pet needing me to stay the night, medication is needed, being patient to take the time with timid pets to allow them to trust me. I follow their normal eating, exercise and bathroom habits as well as providing a caring and safe environment anywhere my services are needed.
About: I’ve always been around dogs all my life, I’ve always watched my family and friends pups when there away, I’ve watched the smallest dogs to the largest and love them all the same! I currently am in college, so I have a pretty flexible schedule plenty of times in my day to let your pups out for potty breaks and have fun play dates :) I have two aussies that have plenty of space to run around and are always so friendly and loving and willing to give a bunch of kisses to whoever they meet. About: I have always loved dogs, and since I don’t have one myself I would to help others take care of /love on their dog. I have experience taking care of neighbors dogs and staying overnight at coworkers places to ensure the best care for their dog! I love really any type of dog :) whether they are athletic and want to get up to play all day, or want to cuddle on the couch I’ll there for it!
