My second fur baby was adopted at 2 months old when her mom abandoned her, as she assumed she would never make it in the world but my sweet girl is now 4 years old and thriving. I stand out from other pet sitters because not only have a had cats for years but with my family & I have had fish, turtles, doves, parakeets, dogs( Great Dane, Terrier, chihuahua), and a Guinea pig. I believe it gives me a variety of experience above a-lot of others. My pets have been in my family for their entire lives and I believe pets are truly apart of the family and should be adored as such! I am awoken daily by my two lovely cats. I start my day by opening the blinds and curtains so my babies can sun bathe. Then i head to the bathroom the clean their litter box. Next comes their feedings. My cats are what you can considered spoiled lol. they have a filtered water fountain, and two different food bowls EACH (one for dry food and one for wet). My day begins and ends with checking on them. I don't not have a fenced in yard because I live in an apartment, but we have designated restroom areas for pets. So, I will need a harness/leash to take them out. I allow my pets on my furniture so your pets would be allowed on my furniture as well.

About: I have had dogs my entire life. Over the past 15 years I've become quite fond of special needs and rescue pups. I have 3 awesome dogs and a cat that have chosen us to be there family. I know how terrifying it can be to leave your fur babies with a sitter but I can promise they will be happy and comfortable with me. So if you're like my family and need someone you can trust with your pets we are here to help. We do have 3 kiddos that love the animals too. We are all very pet friendly and we all work together to take care of our fur friends and make sure they are happy and feel loved all the time!
About: Since I was a child, I have always had animals in my home. As I got older, I began caring for friends and family's pets. When I was 16 years old, I began offering in home dog sitting services. Throughout my life I have worked for vet offices and boarding facilities. I started my own dog training company in 2017, Luna's Canine Academy. I currently work as a veterinary assistant in North Canton so you can rest assured that your pets are safe with me. I am a veterinary assistant and work 4 days a week. I have a 2 hour lunch break so I go home and let the dogs out to play on my lunch breaks. I don’t leave my dogs for more that 4-5 hours because my older dog cannot hold it for long. I have worked with dogs my entire life and am very knowledgeable in the care and safety of animals. I have many years of experience and wonderful referrals from past clients. Each dog is treated exactly how their owner would treat them. I am sure to be very thorough with my clients on what their daily routine is, what they are expecting, and what I will be providing. Safety is always my number one priority.

“Rikki and her family were excellent!! It was our first time boarding our 10 month old pup Luna, so we were nervous (and a bit high maintenance), but she put us at ease and was very communicative. Luna stayed about two full days and nights with Rikki. We met Rikki, her small kids, and other pups (two own, two other Rovers) at drop off — everyone was wonderful. They all spent tons of time outside with Luna, which is exactly what we wanted for her. Luna and the pups played around as soon as we got there, and based on Rikki’s pics/messages, that’s most of what they did for the two days. We came by to walk Luna after the first overnight, thinking she might have some separation anxiety, but Luna was happily tail wagging from the puppy party. Overnight, Luna slept in the bed with Rikki and her sweet daughter — again exactly what we hoped for. When we picked Luna up, she was happy as ever - thrilled to see us, but also seemed a bit torn to leave her new friends behind. Such is life. Perfect, sweet family for an energetic sweet pup that is good with social situations. Will absolutely come back to Rikki if we have another boarding need while in town.”

“We have been booking with Heather for our 5 animals for years now. Heather and her husband watch our 4 dogs and cat once a year for our vacation. I schedule my vacations around them now because I don’t trust anyone else with my kids. I love that they always send daily updates with pictures and let me know any concerns they have (my one dog is getting old and stiff. Heather’s husband told me that he was bumping into things and might be developing some eyesight issues). They are very attentive. One year my cat and one dog got into a tiff (as they do sometimes) and Heather immediately contacted me and told me about it and told me she separated them to cool down. I have a very nervous rescue that does not like anyone but I get pictures of her laying with Heather and her husband. I have only ever seen this dog hug my husband or I in the 3 years we have had her but she hugs them. This tells me all I need to know since Ivy doesn’t trust anyone. My dogs seem to feel comfortable when I leave them there and not panicked. My cat and older dog take medicine daily and Heather gets my stubborn cat to take her medicine with no problem. Your pets are safe with them.”
