I felt really comfortable leaving our dog with Tina. We did a meet and greet to make sure it was a good fit. Tina sent pictures regularly during our stay and stayed in communication. She was happy and worn out from playing with other guest pups when we picked her up. You can tell that she and her husband really care about the dogs. I now have a cat of my own, my fur baby, Fish 🐱 I recently graduated from PA school and won’t be starting my job until August, which means I have lots of availability this summer! About: Growing up I have always cared for our family pets. Today I have 3 rescue dogs of my own. My pups are apart of my family. I volunteer to transport dogs to a safe homes. I also regularly dog sat 5 dogs at once- all with specific needs, diets and medications before the family moved away. I am comfortable with high energy dogs, I will happily administer medication, and we have 2 acres of fenced in land for your dog to run and play! I am a flight attendant so my schedule varies- usually I work 3-4 days a month and they are never the same. Request and I’ll accept if I’m not flying that day, but other than occasional work I’m pretty much always home! I would love to have a dog but because I’m a flight attendant I know I couldn’t give it the consistency and love it would need- however, on days I am home I would LOVE to have a furry friend to play with. We only accept dogs that are good with children and that are potty trained. We have a large kennel if your dog is crate trained and you would like us to use it, but as long as it’s good with kids it’s free to explore. For the past two years, I’ve regularly pet sat for friends and family—feeding pets, letting them out, talking them on walks, giving them plenty of love and attention, and often staying overnight to keep them company. I have also volunteered at an animal shelter for years, so I am good with all kinds of dogs- big and small, anxious and energetic, etc. Whenever one of my friends is out of town, I am their go-to pet sitter. I pet sit for a lot of my friend’s cats, so while I’ve never had one, I know how to take care of them. My dog, Rosie, is my entire world, so I know how important your pets are to you! I will treat them as if they are my own :). I do have a full-time job, but it is very flexible. I am able to leave during the day if needed for your pet! My nights are always free too, so I am able to house-sit. Your pet will be my #1 priority in my routine! I will keep your pet safe with my life! I will ensure they are on a leash when outside and make sure they are comfortable and getting their exercise in. Inside, I love to play with them! I will ensure no doors are left open so they can’t slip outside to maintain their safety. But I will make sure they are having fun while inside!
About: My 14yo Dachshund-mix has been in my family since her puppy years, and in her old age I wanted to maximize her health-span/quality of life. I walk her every day, make her food, and keep her strong with the occasional wrestling match. (: I have quite a wide range of availability, only working part time for the time being. I'm always hitting parks around me so your dog is in for some adventure! My apartment complex has a fenced in dog park to burn some energy in and possibly socialize. About: I had dogs growing up as a child and have taken care of them on and off throughout my whole life, but some specific examples of pet care include: taking care of my Grandparents 2 dogs when they no longer could, taking care of my best friends dogs (and many cats) when she goes on vacation, & of course taking care of my 2 cats that I am currently a mom of (I have had cats throughout my whole adult life). I understand the importance of allowing animals to get comfortable with you and come to you on their own terms and not trying to force them to let you pet them or play with them. I am comfortable taking the time to slowly encourage an animal to be comfortable in my presence. I am currently working part-time while I finish my degree, so I am available fairly often to help take care of your beloved animals. I am extremely reliable and I am often available for last minute situations and happy to help. I have experience and am comfortable with dog walking, picking up waste, and crating dogs when needed. I am willing to assist with cleaning litter boxes as needed and am willing to take time to play with and give your animals attention and love while you are away from the home.
About: Growing up on a 5-acre farm, I've raised all types of animals from cats to dogs or even pigs and horses. I have experience with shepherd dogs, pugs and bulldogs, st. Bernards and rottweilers, elderly pets, puppies and kittens, nursing and pregnant mamas, and so on! I also have taken care of horses, dogs, cats, and ferrets when house-sitting. My schedule is very flexible. My job requires time out of the office multiple times a day and I can always check in for a potty break. About: I have experience with both puppies and seniors. Includes potty training obedience training, dominance training. I’ve worked at a humane society and owned rescue dogs. My approach is to find each individual dog’s motivation to help them grow, learn, and mature. I currently have 2 dogs of my own and enjoy walking and taking them on adventures. I do community work within my school district and would love the added opportunities to fit my love for dogs in my routine more. With dogs non-verbal queues are very important in understanding behavior, needs, and temperament. I pay attention give them good food exercise is a must!
