Neither had ever been without me before and one requires medication and can be a bit stubborn, so I wasnt positive how it would go, but Jennifer went above and beyond in doing everything possible to make sure they were beyond well cared for. She kept me informed on their well being and solicited feedback on administering meds when one got finicky. She sent lots of photos and the pictures with updates gave me so much peace of mind. I went to do an introductory meet and greet. Her house was immaculate, very clean and organized. Hatsuki had printed (let me say it again, she printed a sheet!) a profile of clutch so she can make notes about his needs. Again this was just a meet and greet, she also made a thumb drive with a tag that had clutch’s name. This was so she can give me all the pictures she would take including the ones she would send me as updates throughout the day. Thank you Hatsuki you were amazing!”

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals since I was a child. We have chickens/ducks, cats and dogs currently but have also had rabbits if you’re looking for someone with experience outside the norm. I can administer oral medications if necessary. I currently homeschool my two children so we’re home most of the day and evenings so adding in a pet is no problem at all. About: I've had dogs ever since I was 10, but my experience with them goes far beyond that. When I was a little kid, before I ever had a dog, I would go to this read with a dog program called "Paws to Read." I would spend countless hours reading to the dogs and befriending them, along with a cat or two here and there. When I was 10, I got my first dog, a husky, and gave him a wonderful life. He had quite a few medical issues and behaved older for his age because of it, so I know how to provide senior pet care. He has since passed, but my two current dogs, one pitbull and one pitsky, remind me every day how important pets are to me. I've had them both for eight years now, during which we've taken numerous car rides, walks, enjoyed outside and inside playtime, movie nights, and anything a dog could dream of. Now, while I've never had a cat because of the majority of my family being allergic, I never turn away from a cat. I'm a regular at the Gem City Catfe, where I play with the cats often and have gone so often that they are comfortable with me. I keep cat and dog treats on me in case I come across a stray, because all cats and dogs deserve to feel some love. I've also dog-sat and house-sat for a few friends before, so I know how to handle situations like pets not getting along, bathroom accidents, and being a bit of a picky eater. Currently, I am a full time student and work full time at UDRI (UD's Research Institute) from 8:30am - 3:30am. During the summer I won't be taking any in person classes, just two online. But when I return to UD for my final year, I will be taking classes again and may be slightly more limited. When it comes to my pets and caring for clients pets, the comfort of the pet is most important to me. Personally, my two dogs don't get along with each other very well, so they typically have to be separated. Even so, I always make sure to treat them both equally and give them lots of love! If I take one for a car ride and ice cream, I bring ice cream back for the other and take the other for a car ride later that week. If my client has dogs similar to mine, who need to be separated, I would be sure to treat them equally and split my time with them according to my client's requests. Given single-pet households, I'd spend a lot of my time with them! In my downtime, I'd make sure to sit with them while I work on coursework. I'd be sure to take them on walks and go for potty breaks. And of course I'd make sure we get a lot of play time in and lots of love!

“First time using rover and I couldn’t imagine picking another dog sitter for my dog Spike who absolutely had a great week stay with Karen. I needed a extra day for him to stay on short notice and it was no problem for her to make the adjustments. She really is good at this and makes your pet feel at home and as pet owner made me feel very comfortable on how she handles her service. Karen has lots of space for pets and also lots of love for them as well. I know my dog can’t wait to go back, I would recommend her to anyone GREAT SERVICE!!!”
