About: From my experience growing up on a farm to caring for two dogs and a cat as a young professional, I've developed quite a bit of pet care knowledge and skills. I've cared for puppies and kittens and adult dogs and cat through good times and hard times. Over the years, I've learned a lot and I'm happy to use that experience to care for your's as well. My wife and I both work from home during the week so we have plenty of time for pet care. When our dog Frank was around, we would often go on walks with him and my daughter and visit local parks. Unfortunately, we don't have time to care for puppies or kittens at this stage in life but adult dogs and cats are welcome. We live in downtown Columbus in a single family home with a large fenced yard. We're surrounded by lots of sidewalks and live within walking distance to several parks. In our home, we have a large soft crate for dogs and small crates for cats, if needed. We expect all pets to be potty/house trained and dogs to sleep in a crate overnight. We don't allow dogs on furniture or in beds, but they're welcome throughout the home. Our cat, Cleo, roams the house but will often stay on the 2nd floor when new pet friends stay over. She has been great with new cats and dogs, often warming up to them after a day or two. We also have a 2.5 year old daughter who is home most of the week. She's great with cats and dogs and we expect any pets that stay with us to be comfortable with children.

I have extensive experience with animals and have worked at a dog boarding kennel in the past in addition to growing up with pets. I have worked with aggressive dogs and am comfortable reading a dog’s cues to prevent escalation. I currently have a Bernese mountain dog who is always down for a play date and a cat who tolerates her antics haha. Bonus- I’m an ER nurse, far from a vet tech, but good for med admin if needed! With that, I do work 3 shifts a week(12 hours) that vary. So while my schedule can be sporadic, it can also be very open! I work full time 3 days a week and use rover sitters myself for those days. My schedule varies, but I am great for last minute needs as long as I’m not working! I try to stick to your pet’s routine and rules! I am also very good at recognizing body language/behaviors and therefore can prevent “incidents” from occurring like aggression on walks. I’m also happy to bring along my Berner for a play date if you’d like!

“I can’t say enough for the care that Emily gave to our Ezra. This was his first time away from home and I was a bit worried. But Emily put my mind at ease right away. I had complete confidence that he was safe and happy and even having his very own vacation. Home routine must seem a bit boring to him now! I guess we’ll just have to take another vacation so he can come back for more. We would very highly recommend Emily and will certainly choose her again. She even let me know that Darla got a small cut on her head, which is totally expected because Darla bulls her way through things, but comforting to know tamisha was upfront with everything. I really appreciated her looking after Darla and would definitely look to her for help with Darla again in the future.”

We felt great leaving our baby in such great hands, and we will definitely book with Sally again!”
