About: I've been a dog person for as long as I can remember, with over 13 years of hands-on experience covering walks, cuddles, vet visits, and everything in between. I recently lost my beloved pup to cancer, so I know firsthand what it means to love a dog deeply and care for them through every stage of life. I'm experienced with senior dogs and administering medication, and welcome large breeds . My partner Max is also home to help, so your pup is always in good hands. I only host one household at a time and am committed to giving your dog my full attention. Right now we have a pet-free home and will give your pup gets all of our attention. Your dog will be treated like a member of the family from the moment they arrive. Fri-Mon there is someone home at all times, so potty breaks can be kept to whatever schedule your dog requires. We don't often host midweek, but if we do, Tue-Thu we are able to limit alone time to approximately 4-5 hrs. I have a securely fenced yard for outdoor play and potty breaks, and will be present with you dog as long as they are outside (no leaving them alone despite the fence). Dogs are allowed on the furniture and in the bed. I'll stick to whatever routine works best for your pet, including feeding schedules, medication, and any special needs. I'm experienced with senior dogs and large breeds, and I'm happy to share regular updates and photos so you always know how your pup is doing.

About: Being a senior makes me old school, like being exactly on time or a bit early. I subscribe to the Dog Whisperer tenet of being ALPHA and pack leader to dogs in my care. A dog in a pack is a happy dog. I only use positive reinforcement. Ex.: dog pulling on the leash can be fixed by changing directions every 4 steps to the left, walking in a square, this encourages the dog to slow down and watch his human. Dog hair is a welcome addition to a life well lived, that's why my dogs get furniture and bed privileges. One fact about my dogs i pay attention to is how many sips of water they take. On a very hot day I've seen 30-40. This helps me know easily how my pet is feeling so I can react accordingly. Maybe time to put the soft Frisbee away! I'm fully retired, and rise early, so morning walks are easy. Breakfast is next, and 1hr later another walk outside. I like to prep a bag to take to the park. My fav is Schiller Park in German Village. I don't own a pet currently, I've had some health issues that are now resolved. Having been an owner twice in my life has given me many many experiences so I am flexible.

About: From my experience growing up on a farm to caring for two dogs and a cat as a young professional, I've developed quite a bit of pet care knowledge and skills. We live in downtown Columbus in a single family home with a large fenced yard. We're surrounded by lots of sidewalks and live within walking distance to several parks. In our home, we have a large soft crate for dogs and small crates for cats, if needed. We expect all pets to be potty/house trained and dogs to sleep in a crate overnight. We don't allow dogs on furniture or in beds, but they're welcome throughout the home. Our cat, Cleo, roams the house but will often stay on the 2nd floor when new pet friends stay over. She has been great with new cats and dogs, often warming up to them after a day or two. We also have a 2.5 year old daughter who is home most of the week. She's great with cats and dogs and we expect any pets that stay with us to be comfortable with children.

This is the first time someone other than family has watched our dog and I was nervous about using a service like this and having to choose someone I didn’t know. Rayann was so warm and helpful from the beginning. She was really helpful and flexible on drop off and pickup times due to my schedule and flight changes. She sent multiple updates with pictures throughout the week letting me know how my dog was doing. My dog seemed very happy and well taken care of.
