I have extensive experience with animals and have worked at a dog boarding kennel in the past in addition to growing up with pets. I have worked with aggressive dogs and am comfortable reading a dog’s cues to prevent escalation. I currently have a Bernese mountain dog who is always down for a play date and a cat who tolerates her antics haha. Bonus- I’m an ER nurse, far from a vet tech, but good for med admin if needed! With that, I do work 3 shifts a week(12 hours) that vary. So while my schedule can be sporadic, it can also be very open! I work full time 3 days a week and use rover sitters myself for those days. My schedule varies, but I am great for last minute needs as long as I’m not working! I try to stick to your pet’s routine and rules! I am also very good at recognizing body language/behaviors and therefore can prevent “incidents” from occurring like aggression on walks. We live in an apartment in downtown Columbus with plenty of space for a small dog guest. In my spare time, I like to spend time outside walking the scioto mile, and I like to paint. My current daily routine is flexible so I would be able to provide any care necessary. I used to have a senior dog that required a lot of TLC, and now I have a 4 pound puppy with a fast metabolism that also requires TLC for other reasons. suki is partially potty trained, but we do use indoor pads and a live grass patch. It’s OK if your dog is small and pad trained, I have plenty of cleaning supplies to take care of any accidents. I take safety very seriously for all pets. My cat takes a consistent medication every night at 9 PM and we haven’t missed it for the past four years. Also small dogs take a special amount of attention to keep safe.

About: Being a senior makes me old school, like being exactly on time or a bit early. I subscribe to the Dog Whisperer tenet of being ALPHA and pack leader to dogs in my care. A dog in a pack is a happy dog. I only use positive reinforcement. Ex.: dog pulling on the leash can be fixed by changing directions every 4 steps to the left, walking in a square, this encourages the dog to slow down and watch his human. Dog hair is a welcome addition to a life well lived, that's why my dogs get furniture and bed privileges. One fact about my dogs i pay attention to is how many sips of water they take. On a very hot day I've seen 30-40. This helps me know easily how my pet is feeling so I can react accordingly. Maybe time to put the soft Frisbee away! I'm fully retired, and rise early, so morning walks are easy. Breakfast is next, and 1hr later another walk outside. I like to prep a bag to take to the park. My fav is Schiller Park in German Village. I don't own a pet currently, I've had some health issues that are now resolved. Having been an owner twice in my life has given me many many experiences so I am flexible.

I’m free to board or home visit on Saturday, Sunday, Monday (All Day) and Friday's after 5pm. Weekdays after 5pm I have availability to dog walk but not house sit. I house small/medium dogs/pets. I go to clients homes if I’m caring for larger dogs. *I can also provide doggy waste bags, if it is convenient.

In my home, I create a calm, comfortable environment with separate areas for pets as needed, enrichment activities, supervised play, and gentle attention. I’m experienced with dogs, cats, small animals, multi-pet households, puppies, seniors, and pets with special needs, ensuring every animal feels secure, loved, and well cared for.
