“Summer was an absolutely wonderful sitter for Tycho and Kepler! They stayed with her for 5 days and 4 nights, and we felt completely at ease the entire time. She sent multiple photos each day and kept us updated, which we really appreciated. It was clear from the start that Summer took the time to read our dogs’ Rover profiles. She came prepared with thoughtful questions at drop-off and even reached out when Kepler started chewing on a deer antler, just to double-check with us. That level of attentiveness meant a lot. Tycho and Kepler got tons of playtime with her own pets, including her dog Morty and her cats, and they clearly had a great time. As an added bonus, her son was incredibly sweet with our dogs and spent time cuddling with them, which made their stay even more special. About: I’ve had dogs since forever, I love mine more than anything. My experiences dog sitting and cat sitting range from my neighbors and family to taking care of animals on my uncles farm. I love meeting people’s pets so it would be my pleasure to meet more!! My dog Ruby is 15 years old and I love her to death, I can’t imagine her being alone all day. I go to college full time at Cleveland State University. I do play in multiple orchestras as well, but although I’m busy I have time in between classes and in the afternoons/evenings that I struggle to fill! I would love to have a slow morning taking care of a pet, or going on a walk, so I am very flexible. I understand that all pets have their own personality, and honestly the best way to take care of them relies on me getting to know them. I am also free around lunch times on Monday and Friday. I am adept at handling cats and dogs in difficult situations. For dogs, I would put them in their crate for a cool down time. For cats, I usually prefer to put them in time out in a room or disengage ntil they are able to not be as overstimulated. It’s important to me that they drink enough water, are eating the right amount of nourishing food, and getting the right amount of play and rest! Beyond that, I like to let the pets take the lead regarding our interactions. If a pet wants snuggles, count me in! If a pet wants space, I can respect that and support them from afar.
About: I've been around animals my entire life! My family has had pets for as long as I can remember—from senior golden retrievers to brand new kittens—and I have been pet sitting for friends and family since I was back in high school. I even now have two kitties of my own! When I take care of your pets, I'll treat them with the same care and affection I do my own. I've taken care of animals with behavioral struggles and physical health troubles within my own family and it has given me important experience to be able to take the best care of your pets, no matter what their unique circumstances. I am available weekends and throughout most work weeks and my university schedule allows for the flexibility I need to meet your pets needs whenever works best for them! I am Red Cross Certified in Cat and Dog First Aid. I also have experience caring for both senior dogs and puppies/kittens that are under a year old, as well as experience administering various oral medications and inhalers to dogs and cats. I also have experience with dogs that require a muzzle, for any reason.

“Katherine did not hesitate in assisting me and taking on the responsibility to watch Gulliver the last minute after another sitter informed me they could not watch Gulliver for the weekend I had reserved. We had the meet and greet and then Gulliver stayed there for a day and was tired when I brought him home. When I went to drop Gulliver off for the weekend, he couldn't wait to get out of the car and run to her, which in essence says it all about the care he received the previous day. Gulliver had a great time and Katherine was wonderful in that she provided me with pictures of what he was doing over the weekend and treated him like her own.
