“I needed a place to board my dog for a night while my husband and I went to a wedding. Our dog has been to standard daycare facilities but isn't fond of being left alone so we didn't like the idea of her staying in a kennel. Alison was really accommodating and assured us that our sweet girl would get plenty of attention and play time with her own dogs, which is perfect because our girl loves to make friends. We were afraid that she'd have trouble settling in because she's very attached to us, but we were put at ease when Alison sent a picture of our girl sleeping on a comfy couch. They also made sure she had her allergy meds and food. This is exactly the environment and attention our dog needs to be comfortable being away from us for a bit. Thank you so much for watching her!”

I understand the care required for a wide variety of needs and can do my best to provide reinforcement on current training, but I am not going to be attuned right off the jump to the nuances noticed by your trainer or you... I can reinforce sit, lay down, paw, stay, heel, rollover, or anything else. I can administer medicine. I am not formally trained in pet CPR, but I am trained in human CPR and have looked at videos for pet CPR. When I was younger I worked as a lifeguard, and have a remarkable natural ability to stay calm and act fast in crisis situations. This comes in handy, for example: when protecting my maltipoo from other dogs, managing territorial behavior, or keeping one dog out of another dog’s bowl. My schedule is flexible and I have a car. I have a small business and partial responsibility of my dog, so I do need to be able to run errands, go to meetings, or check in at home to keep that part of my life running. For extended care, and distance further than 5 miles, I prefer be given the option to stay over at clients for the sake of gas costs, time, and energy. First meeting and approach are important to setting a precedent, I first see if the pet will approach me. I like to offer my hand palm down for them to smell. Sometimes it takes a few times smelling the hand before they feel comfortable letting me pet them. In my opinion it’s important not to mess up first impressions with the pet. Spending time together builds familiarity bonds, being attentive builds trust. It’s important to build rapport.

About: Long story short, I love dogs. I've always had dogs, right after college ended I got a pooch of my own. Animals are my passion, and I spent 6 years working at the zoo. During my time there the head keeper in my department took notice of the extra time and effort I was putting into working with the animals and made arrangements to add me to our animal care teams, which allowed me free access to come in and work with animals in my off hours. About: I’ve always had a dog while growing up and have a true love for them! I may not have any pets of my own at the moment but I treat each dog as such. “Misty was nice, and her boys loved spending time with our dogs. She sent pictures of them playing, which I appreciated. We have middle aged shepherd mix and a senior labrador. My only note is that my senior dog probably would have done better being boarded overnight at a home with fewer overnight guests. She seemed extra tired after the long Easter weekend. But it's not a criticism, it's more a note that may help other boarders decide if that's what's best for their dogs.”

“I needed a place to board my dog for a night while my husband and I went to a wedding. Our dog has been to standard daycare facilities but isn't fond of being left alone so we didn't like the idea of her staying in a kennel. Alison was really accommodating and assured us that our sweet girl would get plenty of attention and play time with her own dogs, which is perfect because our girl loves to make friends. We were afraid that she'd have trouble settling in because she's very attached to us, but we were put at ease when Alison sent a picture of our girl sleeping on a comfy couch. They also made sure she had her allergy meds and food. This is exactly the environment and attention our dog needs to be comfortable being away from us for a bit. Thank you so much for watching her!”

If you are looking for a sitter or someone to board your dog Sandy is the go to lady. She allow you to first go and have your dog meet her dogs and she's right on the ball. She has a huge back yard for the dogs to run around and even a pool to cool off. she's a great lady and keeps you updated on your dog. Sandy thank you so much for taking care of my ball of energy.
