“Kirsten and Nicolas were great! They sent pics during the whole stay and were very communicative. They also have a fenced in back yard that they let the dogs run around in. They updated us when the pups appetites were low, which I really appreciated. Both of our dogs tend to be anxious without us because they aren’t used to used to being alone, so it was also a big plus that they work from home. In the past we have had to send our pups to kennels because we don’t have friends or family near by who can watch them. They would be locked in a kennel all day and we would literally have to pay extra for belly rubs or time out of the kennel. I usually feel uneasy the whole trip but not this time. About: I have always had dogs in my life and I am ready to meet and take care of yours! I have had 3 Saint Bernards and 3 Basset Hounds so I know how to handle size and sass. I've been working in kennels and doggy daycares since I was 16, so I have 5 years of animal care experience that I can bring to the table. This includes administering meds (syringe feeding, injection, and oral), walking pets, soothing stressed animals, playtime, on and off-leash experience. cleaning up after pets, and maintaining their environment. A little bit of poop won't scare me! I am currently looking for a job so my hours are completely open at the moment, but that may change. About: I have had such a huge passion for animals since I was young and I have rescued many strays over the years. Now, I live on a farm with 2 dogs and 2 (rescued) cats. One dog is a senior so I have experience with caring for older animals and handling with sweet care. My husky also loves playing which would be great socialization for your pets too. I don't crate my animals so just know they have the space to hang out and you'll get lots of pictures! I work from home full-time as a mental health therapist so I have plenty of time to take them potty, out for a walk, let them play in the yard, and get some energy out. I have a friendly Husky who would love to play, lots of space to roam, and an unnatural amount of toys! I don't crate my animals but if your dog need his own space, I have a pet room they can relax in or hang out with me in my home office. Safety is extremely important to me, so your dog will be leashed when out in the yard or on walks, and I'll protect them like I do my own.

I’ve solely raised and trained two puppies. Although I’ve never owned a cat, I’ve had many experiences cat sitting and caring for my Grandmother’s cats when she was not able to. I currently work part time remotely and I have lots of free time during the week and any time on weekends for sitting, walks, or drop ins. Just like humans, each dog is unique and has different needs when it comes to food (times of feeds, style, treats, lick mat, slow feed), crating, walking, training, and approach. My 5 year old Mountain Cur mix Charlie Boy and 4 year old Bengal cat Bug are my adventure buddies, whether we're hiking local trails or rock climbing in the mountains. With 10+ years of experience caring for dogs, cats, small mammals, and the occasional reptile, I consider myself an experienced pet caregiver. I have administered medication, provided physical therapy exercises, monitored special diets, and provided wound care when needed. My time working with the Delaware County Humane Society has allowed me to foster dogs with medical or behavioral issues and support their rehabilitation. Safety and happiness are my top priorities for any pet in my care. I treat them like members of my own family, providing exercise, mental stimulation, medication and rehabilitation, transportation, and any other care as needed. As a remote worker, I have flexibility to accommodate mid-day walks, visits, or medication. My home is fully pet-proofed with a securely fenced outdoor space nearby. As a remote worker, I'm fortunate to have a flexible schedule that allows me to seamlessly integrate pet care into my regular routine. I typically start my day by taking Charlie Boy on a morning walk or run. We'll come home, I'll begin work, and he'll lounge by my feet or catch up on naps. Around noon, I take a break to get some energy out with Charlie Boy and give Bug her midday treat. In the afternoon, you can often find me sitting outside with my laptop watching Charlie Boy play fetch while Bug chases bugs in the grass. I'm able to schedule meetings and calls around pet needs, as well as take advantage of gaps between meetings to provide meals, walks, medication administration, or anything else a pet in my care may need. I finish up my workday while Charlie Boy chews on a toy beside me and Bug gazes out the window. After work, we all pile into the car to head to the park or explore a new hiking trail to end our day on an adventure together. My flexible schedule allows me to seamlessly provide excellent pet care while meeting the needs of my remote job. I'd love to do the same for your furry friends! For pet sitting in my home, I ensure my house is fully pet-proofed with no dangers for curious paws and mouths. I designate pet-friendly areas with beds, toys, scratching posts, litter boxes, and anything else to keep them comfortable and entertained. When pet sitting in a client's home, I follow care instructions for their specific pets and home environment. I provide the same level of care - feeding, medication, exercise, play, love and attention on a set schedule. For dog walking, I come prepared with waste bags. We go on 20-30 minute walks based on the dog's needs and age. I give them time to enjoy sniffing and exploring on the walk. For cats, I visit once or twice a day for feedings, litter box cleaning, play time and medication if needed. My goal is to provide a consistent experience whether pets are in my home or their own.

About: I was fortunate to spend 4 years at Pennsylvania State University experiencing and learning companion and exotic animal: care, nutrition and behavior. Since graduation I have worked 2 and 1/2 years as a veterinarian’s assistant and receptionist, which has given me great experiences. Additionally, since I was in high school I have enjoyed pet sitting for my friends and neighbors, I have started pet sitting for my clinic’s clients and would be happy to do more for the community. I am currently working 3 and 1/2 days during the week. I am completely open on Wednesdays, Thursday mornings and weekends. However, with at least 2 weeks notice I can be flexible about the days I have off my full time job. I am very amenable to your pets needs, my experience includes: a pet needing me to stay the night, medication is needed, being patient to take the time with timid pets to allow them to trust me. I follow their normal eating, exercise and bathroom habits as well as providing a caring and safe environment anywhere my services are needed.
