“I would like to start by saying, in general I am a skeptical person who does not trust people with my dog because like others, my dog is my child. With that being said, I needed a dog sitter short notice while I went on a family vacation to Africa and prior arrangements fell through. Hesitant, I knew that a sitter would be best for me because I didn’t like the idea of boarding him at a facility. My dog weighs 4 lbs and is still a puppy, he seeks love and companionship. While scrolling through Rover I found Diane and I am happy I did. She was amazing in every aspect. She kept me posted about my dog with text, videos, and pictures several times throughout the day. About: I’ve been caring for pets my whole life but really started about 5 years ago. When I was young I would help neighbors, friends, and family with their pets and loved it. From daily walks and feeding to baths and playtime, I treat every pet like my own. I’m experienced with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and I’m attentive to each pet’s individual needs. About: I’m currently in my second year of veterinary school at TuftsVet. I’ve had extensive animal experience as a result, including 500+ hours in a veterinary clinic. I’ve also worked full-time for a year at a veterinary pharmacy, and part-time as a kennel assistant at a dog and cat daycare where I mostly boarded, walked, and socialized with the dogs. I love animals, and want to give them the best care because that’s what they deserve! I unfortunately am only available until August, but my schedule over the summer is very flexible. The only day I am strictly unavailable are Sundays, but otherwise from 11am-7pm I am free. Check-ins will include checking their food/water, general status, and of course, playtime! Any instructions that the owner leaves will be followed and photos of the pet will be sent to the owner during check-ins.

About: Hello! My name is Julissa. I have so much love for all pets and animals. Growing up, i’ve always had a dog in the house, and they were always such an important member of our family. It’s been about five years since I’ve had a dog of my own. My last dog’s name was Sasha. We adopted her when she was six and had her until she was about thirteen. She was so smart, loving, and anxious when we first got her so our first few years together were spent establishing trust. Eventually we managed to off-leash train and we worked a lot on her recall so that we could enjoy longer walks and outdoor activities while ensuring that she always felt safe in her environment. At home we set her bed up in the kitchen, where we would pass our time cooking and spending a lot of quality time together. I had so many good years with my Sasha, and since she passed I have genuinely missed spending time with animals on a consistent basis. Since then, most if not all of my friends and family have entrusted me with taking care of their animals when they are busy or traveling, so I’ve had a lot of experience with many different pets and their varying needs/personalities. I work freelance as an artist. I am a musician, so I often stay at home practicing or composing. However most of my work is in the film industry, and this work ranges from smaller independent projects to network television. Although I do work on set sometimes, I try to take on as many post-production gigs as possible, so I often find myself sitting behind a desk all day. I have always made it a priority to work in a field that I am passionate about, and my decision to work with Rover has been no different. Caring for animals is not only something I am passionate about, but also a wonderful opportunity to go on walks and spend quality time with pets. But, clearly, she made it a priority to check on our two beloved Birman cats: She came just a couple of hours later. I’m sure that was difficult considering the weather, but we truly appreciated it. “I had a great experience with Tina! She took the time to meet Summer on short notice before taking care of her. She sent pictures and updates twice a day and I could tell Summer had a great time. She also has a fenced backyard where Summer enjoyed playing fetch and getting her zoomies out. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter.”
