About: I grew up with both cats and dogs, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me and remains one of the most rewarding parts of my life. I currently have my own dog, who I adopted as a puppy while I was in college and is now 4 years old. About: I'm an enthusiastic dog walker and sitter that has a passion for dogs and rescuing them. I have been involved in dog rescue and fostering in the Syracuse area for a number of years. I've cared for a number of my own dogs and cats from young to seniors. I've also been a foster parent to a number of dogs when rescues needed someone. I can handle the most challenging of dogs down to little babies and everything in between. Your dog will get plenty of love and attention when I'm around! I give all dogs the same love and affection I would give my own dog and see the importance of cuddle and buddy time along with good exercise. About: I’ve always been an animal lover and have experience caring for dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I’ve helped with daily walks, feeding routines, administering basic medications, and providing lots of attention and companionship. I understand how important it is to keep pets on their normal routine, and I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I treat every pet like they’re my own and prioritize clear communication with regular updates and photos. I have a fully fenced in backyard (although I can also take your pet for walks as well if preferred!) and am available to give lots of cuddles all day as I work from home full time! I work remote full time and have a fully fenced in back yard so I am able to watch your dog or cat full time. On the weekends I am usually out hiking or with friends, and can take your pet on those adventures as well! I also have a small 30 lb house trained and friendly doggy named Ramsey who is always down to play and/or nap :) I am able to give your pet around the clock care as I work from home, and my dog Ramsey is always ready to make new friends! I do allow pets on the furniture, just not in my bed, and have a fully fenced in yard for playtime, as well as the ability to take your furry friend on walks as well! Please let me know what your needs are, I want their stay to be as comfortable as possible!
About: No dog deserves the kennel! Why settle for the pound when they can spend a night in a home with an owner-on-loan; either in your house on in a house that has raised two other pets from puppyhood to old age? Admittedly, there are stairs and hardwood floors in my house, but I have bought several carpets for my old dog to move around on and can lay them down for your dog’s convenience. We also have a big backyard that your dog will love to run around in (and no predators, unless you count woodchucks and geese) and a long leash that can go all the way to the end of the property line. I love dogs and after a day with me, your furry friend will mistake me for his mother. I’m most busy Wednesdays-Thursdays, so I marked them out on the calendar, but if petsitting is required for several days, that is easy to accommodate! I also don’t mind waking up every few hours to take a dog out—I have not quite reached the age where sleep is important. I won’t allow your dog to roam around outside unleashed (sorry, but I don’t want to lose them!), but when they’re outside, I’ll make sure they have the freedom to run around to their heart’s content. Additionally, I’m willing to walk them in any weather they’ll put up with and even let them sleep on the couch/spare bed, if they’re not too dirty.

About: I have pet sat for neighbors and family friends for years and for long periods of time. I have taken care of dogs, cats, guinea pigs and fish. I also have experience working with reptiles and snakes as an intern for an environment education center. I took care of a box turtle, corn snake, and painted turtle. I am in college full time but am willing to watch or stop by when I am not currently taking a class. I am a junior at SUNY ESF. And have a relatively light schedule that would allow me to dedicate hours to your pet if needed. As I live in an apartment I do not have any pets nor can I board pets. However, I have my own car so I can travel to take care of pets. If you wish to have overnight care I can stay on a couch or blow up mattress by your pet for safe company.

About: Currently just accepting previously established/contacted owners! Growing up my family owned a dog as well as a cat, and I helped tend to the care of both animals in the home. I believe that having this responsibility engraved in me from a young age has helped shape me to be a solid pet care taker now. I was able to experience first hand the changes in a pets life as they age, both behaviorally and physically. I also have taken care of friends and family’s pets in their homes while they are away, most owning multiple types of pets from dogs, cats, and even bearded dragons. I am currently working a full time and part time job; the hours of the full time job can vary on the specific day depending upon the released schedule, but hours of shift typically vary from 8a-4p or 1p-9p; as for the part time job, I work Wed-Fri 1am-6am. outside of said working hours, I would be fully attentive to the pets and inside the home/providing direct care. With this, I seem to best fit with clients who have on-site jobs and a work schedule that allows the pet to be left alone up to 8hrs, as it more closely resembles the pets usual experience within the home. (Updated 4.5.26) Please feel free to ask what my work shifts are for the time you’re interested in potentially booking! I can not unfortunately offer to care for pets in my own home, as it is unfenced and has a cat residing that does best as a single pet. This is something I can recognize, so it is best that I come to the clients home. A pet communicates with people in so many ways, and the best way to create a safe environment for both you and the pet is to understand those behaviors. I have a good understanding of reading an animal and when boundaries are being set, whether they are done with play time and need space, or need some extra attention. Any pet care details left by the owner, I follow very closely to give the pet the closest experience they can get to a typical day in the home with the owner.

The neighborhood is safe and very pet-friendly. I’m attentive to maintaining each pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any medications or special care needs. I make sure pets receive both physical activity and plenty of attention and affection. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize consistency and respect for your space. I’m happy to follow detailed instructions and maintain your pet’s usual routine to minimize stress. I’m also willing to travel or make special trips if your dog attends daycare, has a preferred park, or enjoys a specific walking route. My goal is to make your pet feel as comfortable and cared for as possible, wherever they are.

About: I’ve been taking care of my own pets, as well as the pets of family and friends, for as long as I can remember. Animals have always brought joy to my life, and I love the positive impact they have on my mental health and overall well-being.My schedule is very flexible, which gives me plenty of time to provide attentive, reliable care and spend quality time with the pets I look after. I live in a spacious house with plenty of room for pets to play and relax. I also have a partially fenced backyard and a front yard where pets can enjoy supervised outdoor time. In addition, I live near several parks and green spaces that are perfect for walks and exploring, always with your pet’s safety as my top priority. I am currently unemployed but going to back grad school in policy studies at su so I will have pretty of time to devote to taking care of pets. I have a larger house with pets of rooms for animals to play around. I also have a semi fenced in backyard and front yard for out door activists. I also live next to many green spaces and places for animals to explore. Safely of course!
“Joan and both her son and daughter took SUCH good care of Duke while with them! Duke has a few “difficult “ qualities like not being friendly to other dogs and sometimes barking at people. They treated him like their own and I cannot thank them enough. This was his first time with them and I would absolutely rebook.”

“After our dog boarding situation fell through for the week of Christmas, I stumbled upon Matthew and Christie (and their kids) on Rover. Not only were they able to accommodate our last minute reservation, but they were incredibly flexible when a million things went wrong on the tail end of our trip causing delay after delay. All that was awesome, but mostly it was their care and love for our dog (who’s truly the baby of our family and we are all just head over heels for) that was apparent and left us feeling completely at ease. We will absolutely be hitting them up again! We are so grateful to have stumbled upon such a caring loving family to care for our pup when we go out of town.”
