About: I'm an enthusiastic dog walker and sitter that has a passion for dogs and rescuing them. I have been involved in dog rescue and fostering in the Syracuse area for a number of years. I've cared for a number of my own dogs and cats from young to seniors. I've also been a foster parent to a number of dogs when rescues needed someone. I can handle the most challenging of dogs down to little babies and everything in between. Your dog will get plenty of love and attention when I'm around! About: No dog deserves the kennel! Why settle for the pound when they can spend a night in a home with an owner-on-loan; either in your house on in a house that has raised two other pets from puppyhood to old age? Admittedly, there are stairs and hardwood floors in my house, but I have bought several carpets for my old dog to move around on and can lay them down for your dog’s convenience. We also have a big backyard that your dog will love to run around in (and no predators, unless you count woodchucks and geese) and a long leash that can go all the way to the end of the property line. I love dogs and after a day with me, your furry friend will mistake me for his mother. I’m most busy Wednesdays-Thursdays, so I marked them out on the calendar, but if petsitting is required for several days, that is easy to accommodate! I also don’t mind waking up every few hours to take a dog out—I have not quite reached the age where sleep is important. I won’t allow your dog to roam around outside unleashed (sorry, but I don’t want to lose them!), but when they’re outside, I’ll make sure they have the freedom to run around to their heart’s content. Additionally, I’m willing to walk them in any weather they’ll put up with and even let them sleep on the couch/spare bed, if they’re not too dirty.

About: I have over 10 years of hands-on professional dog care experience working in dog daycares, boarding kennels, and grooming facilities in both Colorado and New York. I’ve managed large daycare playgroups of 15–20 dogs, monitored interactions, redirected rough play, and maintained calm, structured environments. One of our daily staff challenges involved having an entire group line up and hold a sit at the same time—something I was proud to accomplish more than once. I also worked at a boarding and grooming kennel in Durango, CO owned by a competitive dog-show handler with extremely high standards. Because staff was small, I gained extensive one-on-one experience with dogs of all breeds and temperaments, including nail trims (even nervous dogs), coat-specific brushing, ear and dental care, bathing, drying, and boarding routines. I also handled front-desk responsibilities, scheduling, and check-ins. At home, I live with two very friendly dogs of my own—Cooper, a beagle, and Tucker, an Australian Shepherd–beagle mix. They kept me updated daily with photos and videos, maintained prompt and clear communication, and were very accommodating with drop-off and pickup times.
