“Deanne and Garrett did a great job and we’d happily use them again anytime. Our dog isn’t the easiest but I could quickly tell that they appreciated the individual she is and would do a wonderful job keeping her happy and safe.”

“Nicole took excellant care of Baxter and Oliver during our vacation. Daily updates and photos showed my pups happy and loved in my absence. Thank you so much for taking the worry away.”

“Garrett & Deanne were really great! Ruby seemed to have a great time with them. They kept me updated on how she was doing (especially with the fireworks over July 4th). I'll definitely be having them watch my girl in the future!”

About: I have years of experience with many different types of dogs. I watch dogs on a regular basis. For younger dogs I can offer a mountain hikes and for older dogs I can walk them on boardwalk trails that are easy on the joints, yet give the dog the sense of walking in the woods. I don't mind larger dogs at all. I also am willing to cook food for dogs. I very much enjoy the company of dogs and find that when they are well fed and exercised they are really pleasant to be around. Please give me honest description of your dog so I can plan His/Her visit accordingly. My house is set back (1000 feet) from a country road . I can pick up dogs in NYC , Great Barrington , Hudson, or Albany for a fee. I have watched many dogs over the years. Usually I try to walk them as much as possible. I feed them well , but make them follow the sit command before being fed and multiple times a day. All dogs have to be on a slip proof leash when outside or dropped off. Dogs often don't behave as they do at home . Once off a leash it can be very difficult to recapture a dog. In the house I don't crate dogs . We can only watch a few dogs at once. If your dog is very difficult let me know in advanced. Also Corgies get 10% off.
“Amanda watched our 2 year old Shepherd mix, Sid, one night when we needed a calm dinner out, and we couldn't have made a better decision. Her fenced in yard was a dream for our dog, and she was super accommodating and responsive with our day of request and quick meet and greet. She sent us plenty of pictures of Sid smiling and romping around, we will definitely be booking with Amanda again!”

“Mary and Todd did an excellent job watching my Tobi. He has separation anxiety and they took good care of him, sending pictures and updates. I will definitely use there services again.”

“Taylor was SO loving with our dogs, so wonderful to interact with, and fed our dogs some of the fancy raw diet food her dogs have. It was a holiday treat for our pups!”

“It is always so comforting to know that Bailey is in good hands when we go visit our family. She keeps us informed and sends pictures. This is the fourth time we have used Brigid and Bailey seems to feel just as comfortable there as he does at home. Thank you Bridgit!”

“Brooke did a great job watching out 3 year old doodle. She was responsive during booking, and even helped deal with our dog's small medical issue (including keeping a cone on Ruby all weekend). Thank you Brooke!”

“My dog had a great time with Jennifer, Thomas and their kids. They’ shared photos of her getting petted on the couch and going on walks. She was exhausted when she came home after having had a very fun day with this lovely family.”

“Kaitlyn was great with Hadley! She sent photo updates and booked very last minute which we are incredibly appreciative of. Her kids also adored Hadley so she felt right at home. Highly recommend!”

“10/10 recommend Vera! She went above and beyond making sure us and our pup were well cared for. She sent us regular updates, videos, and pictures. She gave Pierce a lavender calming collar to put him at ease on the first night. She even noticed that the mat underneath our dog bowls was frayed and coming undone and sewed it up for us. I was blown away by her kindness and palpable love of animals. Don’t hesitate to book Vera. You won’t regret it.”

“Lauren was fantastic! This was Franklin's first time away for multiple days and he was so happy. She sent me pictures throughout his stay and it really helped me to feel comfortable with him being away from home.”

“I found Jane on Rover last minute we were lucky she had space to take Kali for the weekend. First time for us to leave our dog with anyone so we were a bit nervous. Jane put us at ease and our dog Kali had a wonderful time playing with other pups all weekend long! Jane sent updates and photos and videos of Kali throughout her stay and it really put our mind at ease. Next time we can’t take Kali with us for some reason we will not hesitate to drop her off at Jane’s again.”

“Samantha and her partner were absolutely amazing. They are the best sitters I have met by far. I 10000/10 recommend. Samantha updated me throughout my dog's stay. I will definitely rebook.”

“Irene has been such a great find in the Berkshires! She always gives helpful communication with each stay, and Ruby seems to love her time with Irene (and her sweet dog Goldie). Thanks for all of the care that you give to Ruby - we'll see you soon!”

About: My boys and I love dogs, and we love being at home, making us a fabulous choice for hosting your favorite loved one. Thank you for considering us! Hi, I’m David. I’m a stay-at-home dad to my two boys, Zenith and KoaSol, and we share our home with our dog, Magnolia — Maggie for short. We live on 10 private acres with open lawn, fields, gardens, and trails, far away from roads and traffic. We spend much of our time outdoors gardening, landscaping, cutting trails, playing, and caring for the property, so visiting dogs have plenty of fresh air, space, and attention. My boys are 11 and 5 and love dogs. They are excited to welcome new dog friends, while I remain solely responsible for all care, supervision, routines, and safety. Maggie is social, playful, and friendly, and she enjoys having other dogs around. I will respect your instructions and your dog’s normal routine as much as possible. Please share any important details about feeding, health, behavior, crate comfort, sleeping preferences, and how your dog does with children and other dogs. Meet-and-greets are welcome before booking, and I’m happy to send updates during your dog’s stay. My goal is to provide a safe, attentive, family-centered home where your dog is cared for with patience, respect, and genuine attention. Because I’m home most of the time, your dog will not be left alone for long periods. If we leave for errands, Maggie is comfortable in her crate, and we can offer the same option for your dog if they are crate-trained or feel secure that way. We also have a spare crate available, or you are welcome to bring your dog’s own bed, crate, blanket, or comfort items. While my kids are always game to play, I will be solely responsible for the care of your loved one!
“Cipriana was great! This was Buddy's first time boarding after adopting him five weeks ago and it couldn't have gone better. The Meet and Greet beforehand was a great experience and the pictures and texts that Cipriana sent during Buddy's stay were very much appreciated. Buddy will be staying again in the near future. Thanks, Cipriana”

“Dakota is a great find. She showed kindness, love, and care to our cat. We knew that Miso was safe in her care. Her communication was excellent. We definitely recommend wholeheartedly.”

“It's always clear from Sarah's photos and reports of my cat that Sarah really understands her. I'm so happy my cat has such a great friend, and that I can leave her in such great hands!”

“Ellen took wonderful care of our cat Seven while my husband and I were out of town for several days. She sent detailed updates daily with photos, made sure to give Seven lots of playtime with his favorite toys, and kept our home in spotless condition as well. I highly recommend her if you're looking for a responsible, communicative sitter who loves cats!”

About: Hello! I've been an animal lover my entire life. My dog, Zeke and I had a companion kind of relationship, built on mutual respect and happiness; it's something I wouldn't have traded for the world. “Cheyenne was prompt, flexible, communicative and compassionate and took care of my Indigo and Remy beautifully while I was away! I felt a peace of mind and at ease with her knowing her experience, and Remy felt almost immediately comfortable in her presence, which speaks volumes since he can tend to be skeptical of strangers. I would absolutely keep Cheyenne in mind for future sits!! Thank you so much, Cheyenne!”

“We had the absolute best experience with Deanne taking care of our cat for five days, and honestly, I think he’s a little disappointed that we came home. She gave him all the love, attention, and playtime that he could ask for. He was happy and relaxed, and clearly enjoyed his time with her. She kept us updated and sent pictures so we didn’t worry, and it was obvious that she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. He doesn’t warm up to just anyone so that says a lot about her! If you’re looking for someone who is kind and dependable and if your pet is looking for a new best friend while you’re away, Deanne is your person! Just don’t be surprised if your cat tries to convince you to go away again.”

About: I had a dog in my family for around 10 years. He was really the best. It was so fun to watch him grow up and take care of him through it all. I work full time but have different hours and sometimes will be available in the mornings, sometimes the middle of the day, and sometimes weekends! I will always have time for animals. I provide a safe and comforting environment for dogs and humans alike. I am very considerate and observant of everything around me so I will always make sure everyone is safe and having a great time with everything they need. I am very respectful of people’s space and always make sure to leave things the way I found them.
“Sophie took wonderful care of our two kittens while we were away on a long trip. Since it was our first time using a sitter, we were pretty nervous but she was very communicative and attentive which gave us so much peace of mind. We could tell that she was going above and beyond to make sure they had lots of love and attention. When we came home, it was clear they had been well cared for—happy, healthy, and content. We’re so grateful and would love for Sophie to watch our girls again sometime.”

About: I’ve grown up with Chinchillas, Cats, Dogs, Ducks, Chickens, & Reptiles. My Fiancé & I currently have 3 Cats (they love dogs- but if any issues - can be kept separate in their cat room to create a more comfortable stay for any pet that doesn’t like cats), between me & my partner- someone is always home to give attention to & play with pets. (Aside from when we go to the store or doctors appointments). Your pets will get the best care!!! Someone will always be home with your pets, either I am home or when I’m at work my fiancé Deanne is home & is also a huge animal lover. The only times someone isn’t home is when we’re grocery shopping or at an appointment. We have the rail trail right in our backyard that goes for miles- it’s a great trail to take dog walks on! We usually do that or use tie outs or the dogs leashes in our yard since we don’t have a fenced in yard, but your pets are never left unattended on the tie-outs, someone will be outside with them at all times
“Diana and her family provided day care to my puppy Jolene and I cannot say enough good things. She is a wonderful and attentive sitter and provided great care. I would definitely recommend her.”

“Jane’s home is welcoming & relaxed. Our Sadie was nervous her first day of Doggie Daycare but was one of the pack by the I returned later in the day to pick her up. THANK YOU JANE!! Sadie will be back for another day with her doggie friends soon.”

“Logan is a great pet sitter! He's very knowledgeable, friendly, and provides a home-like environment while allowing for space and downtime amongst the few other dogs he may have at that time.. He is accommodating to your pet's individual needs and personality which is comforting when you've got a dog that is slow to warm up! We've used him for daycare and plan to board with him as well! Thanks, Logan 🤗”

“With both me and my boyfriend working in healthcare and having crazy schedules, we decided to get a puppy. Then our work schedules got flipped and we were panicking on what to do with little man while we both had to work Christmas Eve and day and 12hr shifts. Then came a Christmas miracle, Kaitlyn and her amazing family watched over little Apollo. I was so nervous as this was my first time using Rover and I was unsure about the legitimacy, but Kaitlyn had great reviews and went above and beyond to make Apollo feel welcomed in her home and. She stuck to his feeding and training plan, tuckered him out with tons of play and made sure to update me with adorable pictures throughout the day! If you have a chance to book with her I would say absolutely do it, I would trust her with a human child!!”

“Katherine is an excellent dog rover. She is a strong communicator, caretaker, and most importantly a good hearted dog person. Your dog is in great hands with her. When I’m in the area she will be my go-to person.”

“Amazing service! Vera went above and beyond. She was very attentive to Lilly and her needs. So glad that she got to play with Vera’s dogs and that they went on a long walk! We are definitely returning ?”

“Jialin and John took great care of our Noodle while we attended a friend’s wedding in the area. We are not NY locals and the decision to bring our dog on the trip with us was somewhat last minute, so we were so lucky and grateful to find people to care for Noodle for a full day on such short notice. We received many photos and videos throughout the day which reassured us that Noodle was having fun and in great hands! If we lived in the area we would 100% book them again, and we’re honestly bummed that they can’t be our regular dog sitters due to distance. We are very satisfied with the care they provided and we highly recommend them!!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my lifelong experience caring for animals of all kinds, not just dogs and cats. I currently care for my own dogs and I’ve spent years around animals with different personalities, needs, and temperaments. I’m comfortable with puppies who need patience and consistency, as well as senior pets who require a gentler pace, medication, or extra attention. I believe every pet deserves individualized care, so I take the time to learn their routine and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you are away. You’ll also receive regular photo and text updates, so you can relax knowing your pet is in caring, dependable hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I already care for a variety of my own animals, including my own dogs, horses, goats, and chickens. I work full-time Monday through Saturday, with Wednesdays off. I have a one-hour lunch break that allows me to stop in for potty breaks, walks, feedings, or check-ins during the day. Before and after work, I have plenty of time to provide attentive care, exercise, and companionship. Whether your pet needs a quick visit, overnight care, or a little extra attention while you’re away, I’m committed to treating them like my own. At this time, I provide care exclusively in my client’s homes, where pets are often the most comfortable in their familiar environment. I follow each owner’s care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, fresh water, walks, potty breaks, playtime, medications (if needed), and plenty of love and attention. I also make sure your home is left just as I found it and will gladly provide photo and text updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. As a lifelong animal owner with experience caring for dogs, horses, goats, chickens, and other animals, I understand that every pet has unique needs and personalities. My goal is to keep their routine as normal and stress free as possible while you’re away, treating them with the same care and attention I give my own animals.
“Greg is the best!! My two dogs can be shy with new people but they instantly warmed up to him and they come back from their walks so happy! He's very punctual and goes the extra mile to make the pups happy!”

“Mary walked my dog Willo (2 years, some puppy energy, 50lb) for three weeks while I was out of town. We had great communication the whole time and Mary was proactive about helping me keep Willo’s paws comfortable in the snow. We had a great experience with her and would book again!”

“Dakota was so good with our 2 dogs. They both have strong pray drives and the walking trails are thru the woods so it can sometimes be challenging to control them. They warmed up so fast to her and their walks together went really well. She always gave detailed reports of the walks and sent photos….I really like that ? She is a pleasure to talk to and she has a large dog of her own which gives her that experience that only dog “owners” have. I will definitely be recommending her to friends.”

About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was five years old and continued to get more dogs. I have dog sat for multiple friends and family rating from dogs and cats. As far as training animals, I did grow up with having to train them so I do have some experience. I have 3 dogs that have invisible fences outside so they can roam free without getting lost, going to the road, running off. I have a big yard surrounding my house so they are used to running around freely. When it gets too cold they come in to the house or garage with my father. I am used to walking dogs as they do get walked on occasion at home or if we have them out of the house. I do not off offer services that welcome pets into my house but I am accommodating as necessary and will offer services at your residency.

About: I have worked with herding dogs, guard dogs, sled dogs, service dogs, and pets of all ages. I treat dogs with patience and compassion and believe in training the individual dog in front of me with their owner’s goals at the forefront! I have thousands of hours of hands on experience and countless hours researching training and animal behavior. I am a self-employed artist so my schedule is very flexible. I am happy to go into more detail about my living habits and daily schedule. My dog doesn’t “get into” anything he shouldn’t— including “stealing” his own food and treats, but through experience with my own puppies and client dogs I am well versed in taking extensive precautions to ensure the safety of animals in my home. I will not allow client dogs off leash but I have a 50 foot leash that is excellent for hiking with dogs. I am very observant of potential health issues/injuries. I am happy to expand upon the safety measures I take.
About: Hello! I’m Jess, and I provide specialized walking and drop-in visits across the Catskill, Hudson, and greater Columbia/Greene County area. I don’t just walk dogs; I use every visit as an opportunity to build confidence, improve focus, and reinforce leash manners. My approach is built entirely on modern, science based Positive Reinforcement and LIMA (Least Invasive, Minimally Aversive) principles. I believe in rewarding behaviors we want to see, helping dogs learn safely, without the use of intimidation or aversive tools. I am currently completing dog training and behavior studies through the CATCH Academy curriculum. This ongoing education ensures your dog is in the hands of an informed and committed professional. I currently work part time on Sundays and Wednesdays, so I have plenty of time during the week to give your pets plenty of attention, playtime, and care. I focus on leash manners during every walk to ensure a pleasant and comfortable experience. I can work with dogs on impulse control skills to help reduce pulling through positive reinforcement and force free training methods. If your dog has any triggers I will work to maintain distance and reward when calm to ensure success and keep stress to a minimum for your pup.

He is incredibly kind and responsive- We needed help with our senior yellow lab and had some unique needs for our pup and family while we were in the hospital with a newborn - Roman went above and beyond with kindness and flexibility to help our family in a crazy time, and was a true life saver! His love of animals is clear - we would recommend him to anyone and will absolutely ask for his help next time we need it.”

I might potentially be more available on a long weekend, when I am off from my school based job. I would want to care for your pets as you would or how you would want. I am great with a schedule and specific requests.

“Deanne and Garrett did a great job and we’d happily use them again anytime. Our dog isn’t the easiest but I could quickly tell that they appreciated the individual she is and would do a wonderful job keeping her happy and safe.”

“Kaitlyn was great with Hadley! She sent photo updates and booked very last minute which we are incredibly appreciative of. Her kids also adored Hadley so she felt right at home. Highly recommend!”

“Darcy was fantastic with my dog, Blaze! Her own dog is so sweet and Blaze had a wonderful time. I got updates and pictures throughout his stay. We will definitely be using Darcy as a sitter again!”

“Excellent! This was my first experience with Lori and Rover.com and it will not be my last. Lori was so accommodating to my requests. I am very pleased and happy with my pups stay at her home.”

“Peter was such a wonderful sitter. His updates were timely and detailed and I felt confident that Nutmeg was cared for, happy, and healthy during her stay. I will definitely ask Peter to sit again if I’m ever in the area again.”

“Alyson was wonderful! She was very patient with my dogs, even when they got nervous and peed on her floor. They quickly warmed up to her and her dog, and from the photos she sent, it was obvious they were having a great time. I will definitely rebook with Alyson.”

“We have used Sheronda two times within the last couple of months. We have nothing but praise for her and her family as well as the care she has given to our Elly. She was also understanding when we had a medical emergency on our most recent trip. We love how many updates and pictures we get. You won't get a better dog sitter anywhere. We look forward to using her service again.”
