About: Hi, I'm Sam and I've had dogs in my life since childhood. I have two rescues that I adopted at ten weeks. They both have big, incredibly different personalities that have given me plenty of experience, especially after my son was born in 2019. I have always loved animals, and decided to use Rover after a friend was out of town and had a client she asked me to assist. She raved about pet sitting and I really enjoyed it. About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.

About: I’ve always had cats around and have taken care of strays and making sure they always got the love and food they needed! I’ve recently started to help take care of family and friends cats and have researched and learned a lot of things. I love to give my kitty friends space when they need it and all the love and snuggles. I love deep cleaning litter boxes to make sure that they have a clean place to go potty. I also enjoy brushing cats and am very good at getting their nails clipped, even if they’re grumpy!

About: I have 2 cats that my husband and I have had for 5 years. We've had our male black and white cat Milvan since he was a kitten and we've had our female black cat Xena since she was a kitten for 4 years. We ended up getting Xena as a playmate for Milvan and they get along wonderfully and love to play. Milvan has an autoimmune disease where his body destroys his red blood cells. We have to take Milvan to the vet regularly and give him medication daily. We give him an oral liquid by syringe. We have given him pills in the past so I am familiar with that sort of medicine form as well. Milvan can be a difficult cat to work with and tends to bite. We got him and didnt realize he was a couple weeks too young to be out of his litter. So he didnt learn how to play properly with others. Since getting Xena, he has learned how to play from her but still does bite people. He bites from overstimulation like rubbing his belly. These are my first two cats and I love them to pieces. Even with Milvan having all of his medical issues, I wouldn't trade him for anything. I have a love for all cats in general. It would be my pleasure if I could get the chance to take care of your cat or cats.
About: Hi! I have always loved animals, and have grown up with dogs and cats all my life! I moved to Collins in 2024 to a property with 30 acres of mostly wooded land with a dog kennel, cat house and barn! The property has a huge area for dogs to run and play. We are working on repairing a huge fenced in area right now, so we would walk around the property on a leash always. I have woods and trails on my property that I love to take walks through. About: Growing up my parents got a dog for every child they had and theirs four of us. Ive been in love with dogs since I could remember my first pup ever!! I did spend a year as a bather at Petsmart best job ever so I have no problem with giving your fur babies a nice wash, I’m not much of a runner but I do take my dog on the bike path and I’ll ride while he runs until he’s tired then we’ll both walk back. I love all animals as if they’re mines I get emotionally attached at first site and love and care for them like they are my forever babies. I do currently work full time but I am very flexible with my hrs and will always be willing to work around your schedule to be with your fur family. I have only trained 2 dogs in my entire life and only got as far as sit right and left paw stay walk and run. I will always have a huge heart for any animal including yours!! Natalie took the time to come learn how to administer all of the medications so my cat could stay at home and be comfortable while I was away. Natalie arrived promptly each time and spent time to make sure everything was perfect. I had a fairly large checklist of items that needed to be done daily and Natalie took care of everything exactly the way I asked. This was the first time having someone come to my home to take care of my pet; however, Natalie went above and beyond to make sure everything went perfect while I was away, even bringing in my mail! About: One of my biggest passions is saving animals lives through fostering. My fostering experience has provided me many skills necessary to care for animals with varying needs, including young kittens, diabetic cats, XXS chihuahuas, and XXL breed dogs. I am open to over night stays and higher-maintenance care tasks, such as providing care for animals that require behavioral or psychiatric support during their family members absence. I enjoy playing with pets, within their boundaries of comfort. I have become apt at recognizing animals mood states, so I can properly respond to fear, excitement, anxiety, pulling on the leash, and over reactivity as necessary. Currently I dog sit two fur babies since 2020. In a week I am losing one of my buddies due to his parents relocating. I am already missing him and am hoping to make some new walking and cuddling partners. I work part time on weekends but can sit with advanced notice. Monday til Wednesday I am available for anytime on shorter notice. When I have your furry sweetheart I do not leave them by themselves at all,so I like to schedule when there is nothing to conflict with the time I have them. When in my house they have no restrictions from me, only what the parent wants. I have an outside bathroom area on leash for quick bathroom trips. I like to go for at least one or two long walks per day, weather permitting and your dogs abilities. I live in a walkable neighborhood and close to parks. When at your house I will follow whatever routine your partner is used to.

About: Albeit having no years of 'professional' caring, I have been a dog and cat mom all of my life. Since I was born my family has had 2-3 dogs and 5-6 cats at a time on our farm, and I raised, trained and took care of all of them myself since my parents were not too big on animals. The sole reason we had so many is because we lived on a farm and I adored them. Every year of my life I have cared for at least one animal or another, ever since I was in grade school. For cats and dogs alike, I myself used to bathe them, feed them, groom them and take them to the vet if they were sick. As of right now, I have no animals to look after, so I would love to put those skills to good use. This being said, I have ample experience with animals, and I adore them. I have babysat animals for my friends several times, always without incident. I understand their signs and needs, have plenty of patience and can be gentle but firm when needed. I treat them as if they were my own children. I am also a trained emergency service medical provider, so I know how to perform first aid and lifesaving measures if need be (not that it will ever be needed, don't worry!). I am flexible with the services I provide: if your pet has any special needs/medications that they need to take/any sicknesses, or anything else, inform me and I will be happy to babysit for them and care for them for as long as you need! Some of the services I can provide include but are not limited to: bathing, walking, training, and cuddling! I will treat your babies with love and kindness while you're away! Rest assured, they will be in good, trained hands. I currently work from home, and would have no problem going on walks or playing games such as fetch to tire out high energy dogs! I already have a daily routine with my own dog, which consists of taking him on regular potty breaks, brushing his teeth, and playing games to tire him out if its too cold to go on walks outside! We have a yard thats not fenced in, but have lines and long leashes to take your fur baby outside! There is one senior dog, one younger dog, and to cats all to give company to your pet! Both dogs are very friendly, and the cats mostly keep to themselves in the room. The dogs will always be in my sight, so that we can hang out, play, and I can tend to their needs! There are plenty of toys to share, plenty of treats to go around (unless stated otherwise) and plenty of friends to play with.

About: I have been fortunate enough to have had animals most of my life. These have ranged from dogs, rabbits, chickens, horses, cows, and fish. I have volunteered time at a wildlife rehab and also worked a few years at a dog daycare facility that would average about 50 dogs a day. I have a bachelors degree in Animal behavior, ecology and conservation. I have always had a special place in my heart for animals. I currently have 2 rabbits and a dog. About: I love dogs and like to walk dogs to earn some extra money for my household. I had a male Australian Shepherd named Gonzo who passed away 3 years ago when he was 10 years old. He was pretty big for his breed weighing in around 70lbs so I can handle big dogs. I took Gonzo to training classes which honestly trained me more than it trained him so I feel pretty confident in my dog handling skills. Gonzo had a fear of people which lead him to nip at people. We worked hard working with him to help him overcome this fear as best as we could. I think this experience has taught me a lot about reading a dogs emotions and catching signals before a bad situations appears. I now have a 2 year old mini aussie who we rescued named Betsy. We had to work with her to help her with her fear. She is finally in a place where she can comfortably encounter people and approach with no fear. Betsy gets a little excited around other dogs she's not allowed to approach but she is making excellent progress. Just like with Gonzo, we are socializing Betsy and training to give her confidence. A dog should be able to go on walks carefree and with a feeling of safety. I feel that a dog needs a confident yet a friendly companion while taking walks and I can provide just that. My schedule is a little sporadic so I dont have a set schedule and usually do one-off jobs since I can't guarantee a consistent commitment due to my odd schedule. I typically care for pets at their home. Depending on how your pet is around other animals and pets, I would consider taking care of your pet or pets at my own home. I have one dog, two cats, and a bearded dragon.

About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.
