“So imagine the sweetest person in the world and triple it and you will get Julie. My dog is 14, blind, has dementia, and needs to be let out frequently. Basically he needs round the clock eyes on him. Julie not only did an amazing job with him but thanked us for allowing her the time with our dog. She walked him a handful of times per day (which is not easy with a blind dog) and cared for him maybe better than we do. She is an excellent communicator; she gave us updates and sent us multiple photos, making us feel so at ease. You can leave your dog with Julie knowing they are being treated like family. You can tell she really has a true love for dogs. We cannot express enough how grateful we are to have found her, we only wish we found her sooner. We LOVE Julie!”

My dog was comfortable from the moment she met Melissa. Melissa is very calm and was thoughtful about how she met our dog. Her dog is adorable and our two dogs got along well. Melissa has a large backyard and so our dog had a lot of space to sniff and hang out. Melissa was communicative during the stay knowing we weren’t sure how our dog would do, so that was helpful. About: Hi I'm Ally! I grew up surrounded by dogs and my love for them has only grown over the years! I currently have two at home, Luna, a 10-year-old rescue terrier mix, and Tobi, a 6-year-old Pembroke Welsh corgi. Altogether my extended family includes 6 dogs, 2 cats, and a few chickens. (You should see our house at Christmas!) I have lots of experience with both small and large dogs but I love all shapes and sizes. Playtime is a big deal at my house, but rest and relaxation are a must too. Cuddling is my absolute favorite thing! I love helping others, especially when they're dogs. I found Rover through my sister and sister-in-law, who have watched dogs themselves, so I've learned the ropes through their experiences. I'm currently working part-time and heading back to school soon. My schedule may shift once the semester starts, but I'll keep my calendar updated! As of right now my schedule is pretty open and I can provide care all weekdays, but weekends are a little tougher (but if really needed I can always try to move things around). “This was my first time using Rover.com. I had picked up my German shepherd, Evie, from a shelter in North Carolina last November. Based on her recorded condition when brought in as a stray 5 weeks before she had been through a rough period. She has fully recovered now and is in good health. We identified a few possibilities at the Rover website and following a positive meet and greet with Nadjeska last week, had Evie spend the day with her yesterday. It went very well. Nadjeska sent us several texts with photos during the day updating us on Evie's stay. We were looking for a home where Evie could spend time with and play with other dogs and Evie made a new friend, Sparkles, Najeska's little dog. Nadjeska has a fenced yard which provides a safe place for them to run around in the fresh air. Evie seemed to enjoy the day, Nadjeska obviously loves dogs, and we will be repeat clients in the near future.”

“From the moment we dropped Nessa off until the time we picked her up, we were pleasantly surprised by how completely at home she felt with Marla. Normally, Nessa is very apprehensive when meeting new people, new animals, or even visiting a new place. But from the moment Marla opened the door, our normally shy and hesitant little girl ran right into the house to greet Marla and all of her pets. To say my husband and I were shocked would be an understatement! Watching Nessa happily run off to play filled this mom and dad with so much joy. While we were attending our niece’s wedding, we kept checking our phones, fully expecting a call or text saying Nessa was crying or looking for us. That message never came—because she was apparently having the time of her life! When we returned to pick her up, Nessa was excited to show us all of her new friends. It was obvious she had been well cared for and truly enjoyed her stay. We could tell that Marla treated Nessa as if she were one of her own, and there is no greater compliment we could give. We only wish Marla lived in Connecticut instead of New York. Finding someone who genuinely loves and cares for your pet as though they were part of their own family is incredibly rare, and we would trust her with Nessa again in a heartbeat.”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, from the day I was born to now! I volunteered at an animal shelter for a year too! About: Hi I'm Ally! I grew up surrounded by dogs and my love for them has only grown over the years! I currently have two at home, Luna, a 10-year-old rescue terrier mix, and Tobi, a 6-year-old Pembroke Welsh corgi. Altogether my extended family includes 6 dogs, 2 cats, and a few chickens. (You should see our house at Christmas!) I have lots of experience with both small and large dogs but I love all shapes and sizes. Playtime is a big deal at my house, but rest and relaxation are a must too. Cuddling is my absolute favorite thing! I love helping others, especially when they're dogs. I found Rover through my sister and sister-in-law, who have watched dogs themselves, so I've learned the ropes through their experiences. I'm currently working part-time and heading back to school soon. My schedule may shift once the semester starts, but I'll keep my calendar updated! As of right now my schedule is pretty open and I can provide care all weekdays, but weekends are a little tougher (but if really needed I can always try to move things around). My top priority is making sure you and your pets know they're in safe, loving hands. Bathroom breaks, meals, fresh water, and plenty of cuddles are always part of the routine. And if you're comfortable with it, my dog Tobi loves meeting new friends so we can always swing by for some playtime!

I’ve been working with animals of all sorts since I was 6 years old and volunteered on a farm, and I have experience with every dog from chihuahua to mastiff (the mastiff was mine!). I also know reptile and cat care, as I’ve owned cats, lizards, and snakes—I grew up on farms lol I walk gizmo 2-3 times a day, feed him twice, give him medication, and play for at least 30 mins. I also bathe him and clean him after our walks.
