About: Peppy Pet Care was launched at the end of 2018 in Ithaca, NY by myself and my animal-loving, entrepreneurial eleven year old daughter. Together we worked to provide outstanding pet sitting services to Ithaca and Lansing pet owners. Beginning in 2021, I started officially working on my own, as my daughter is busy pursuing other interests and activities. I treat pets in my care as I would my own. I am considerate, patient, reliable and caring and trustworthy. I treat each visit like an adventure and make it the warmest and most wonderful experience for each animal. “I would highly recommend them for any of the services they offer. Lil bear has “separation anxiety” and traveling on a airplane is too much for him to handle. Aaron and Kaylee really work hard to introduce your animal to theirs, and others they maybe watching. I did a couple daycare weeks there before I had him stay. Lil bear always seemed willing and excited to go there each morning. He made friends with the other day there. He always gets good exercise while there, tired when he comes home. Worth it. And they are very accommodating to any changes or needs you have.”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is that since I was eight years old I have been taking care of cats, dogs, reptiles, and rodents. I have 25 rescue cats back home in California in which I work with rescues for free vaccines and neutering and spaying. Lots of the cats I take care of have special needs or require administering medication. I also have experience with dogs with special needs such as being spoonfed. I work part-time over the winter and will spend most days indoors studying for LSAT. I go for walks on breaks and usually give attention to my pets and others between breaks or as needed! My house has spare rooms where I can house pets if they are not comfortable with my cats! About: Ever since I was a small child, neighbors and friends have entrusted me to check in on their beloved animals and ensure they are fed, played with, and cleaned up after. As an adult who normally teaches full time, I have house sit for colleagues who have children and take them on vacation while I look after their dogs and their parents' chickens across the street. I don't work summers or during school breaks and I don't have kids so I have a lot of flexibility and free time when school is not in session. I'm great with animals On breaks and weekends, I can make pet care my sole focus. No children or other pressing obligations means that I can give all my attention to your furry friends. I come prepared to enrich your pets time and can read a book while they sleep. My husband can handle my household chores so that I don't have to leave your house if that is what the job entails. The only real routine barrier is my teaching job but that is only during week days in the 10 month school year not accounting for planned holidays, Summer or weeks off. I can prepare food, take on walks, clean litter boxes, give medicine, regularly keep water bowls cleaned and filled, play with and ensure that all animals are where they are supposed to be when I turn in for the night or leave the house. I will defer to client's needs or requests as well for anything out of the ordinary.

About: I’ve owned cats my whole life. My current cat is a sassy senior tortie named Queen. I'm well versed in reading body language through ears and tail. I have lots of experience with senior cats with health conditions; managing pet prescriptions and special diets. I'm comfortable administering medications if needed. In the past, I’ve taken care of my parent's diabetic asthmatic cat by giving her insulin injections daily as well as using an inhaler on her. Animal rescue is my biggest passion! About: There’s no place like home, right? You can put your mind to rest knowing that in our home your pet will get the love & attention they deserve, just like they would at yours. With a lifetime of experience working with all kinds of animals- senior dogs, lizards, spiders, cats- not to mention professional experience with aquarium species, your pet will be given high quality care. We believe that a tired pet is a well behaved pet, so enrichment is a big deal to us. Your pup will enjoy nature walks where they can sniff their heart out, and mentally stimulating toys when the weather is too cold for walks. My husband, Jack, works from home most days so outside breaks can be as frequent as your dog needs. I work full time 4 days/week and my husband, Jack, works from home to provide potty breaks, walks, and other enrichment as frequently as your pet needs. I make sure that all of your pets’ needs are met from the first moment they come into home, just like I would with my own dog, Brisco. Text/email updates are given throughout the stay, at least once per day. Our spacious backyard and separate zones of the house are large enough for everyone to have quiet time if they like. Pups will be monitored outside at all times. We will be sure to monitor the environment of exotic pets & aquatic species carefully.

About: I am just starting to my fourth career, playing with your companion. I recently retired from teaching sustainable development at UAlbany. I now spend my days outside with hairy friend Herman. I picked up my first stray, Bandit, at 9. I have had a at least one dog since then, I am now 63. All from shelters or strays. I also did doggie foster care too. Known to be gentle and friend of the furry ones. I start each day with a morning meander across the 25 acres on a dead end road. Your companion will be well exercised, loved and cared for as long as they get along with my 14 year old hairy friend Herman, who lets cats eat from his dishes. He runs the place when it comes to house rules. He does not have viscous bone in his body. After three careers and global travel I am recently retired. My days are spent gardening, walking, sitting on the porch, listening to music, etc. I am rarely gone more than a few hours as Herman, my four legged friend, needs special care at 14 years old. I am typically up before dawn, no dog or alarm necessary. My day typically begins with me waking predawn and greeting the new day with my hound Herman on the 25 acres we cohabitate. Most is abandoned agriculture returning to forest for 35 plus years that is bisected by a small babbling brook. Breakfast is then served before returning outside. In climate weather I am outside more than 70% of my day outside. At 14 he chooses to stay in sometimes. Your companion will be free to make their own choice too. My life ambition is to nurture life. I have cared for pets since I was born as my family had cats. There is a fenced area that includes four shaded area. There will be plenty of water, including a baby pool for play as well as sprinklers. This area is shares two fences lines with my garden, has direct access to a walk out basement, and is fully visible from my porch. The dogs will have near 24/7 personal attention and care. I live sustainably. There are no chemicals in my lawn or garden. I have an enclosed porch that in the summer is open air, but no steps to escape. Only with your permission would I walk a guest off leash. Before walking them off leash I will need feel 100% confident they respond to command when other distractions are present. Again with your permission I would take your friend to a fenced in dog park visit as a trial run. Herman, my housemate, is a happy healthy 14 year old he is my best reference. He also has final word on all guest of all species. About an 1/2 acre is fenced with direct access from the house through the basement door. It includes shaded doggie lounges, a baby pool in the summer, toys galore, and lots of attention as the space is adjacent to my garden and the covered porch. It has the capacity to be divided if unruly dog needs to be isolated or there are little ones that just need time away from the bigger ones. Indoors, dogs are free to roam in the basement and first floor. If they are cage trained I can accommodate that. The two beds are off limits. To prevent misunderstanding with bed loving dogs I will keep my guest room. Both the porch and the living room couches are fine. Little ones may use chairs too. The house is really set up for Herman’s comfort and safety. The 32x10 covered front porch is a favorite of Herman and all his visiting friends. Your hairy friend will be delighted by this feature too. One more thing, the hardwood floors are currently covered in rubber “yoga mats” as Herman can not cope with slippery floors. There are also many large dog beds that Herman is happy to share. Opps, where are our manners; welcome to our slice of Paradise!😊
About: I have taken care of dogs and cats all my life. In the past 8 years I have lived in CO during that time, I have been through pain and loss. Shortly after moving our dog was diagnosed with bone cancer and then our cat with Heart/Kidney disease. I have experience with caring for sick animals (dogs and cats) - giving medication, subcutaneous fluids, frequent bathroom breaks/issues, also first hand experience with separation anxiety I have currently moved back to my home in the Finger Lakes of New York! I currently work remotely, and plan on continuing this. I have open availability. For Drop off or pick up my hours are between 8am - 8pm. I am also available most weekends! About: I've cared for dogs of different sizes over the years and I love to cuddle, walk, and pamper pups. We have a fenced in back yard and I like to take long walks with dogs if they're up for it. We have a 4 year old boxer/hound mix who is sweet with people but not great with other dogs. We keep him away from guest dogs, there's lots of room in the house for each dog to have their own space and still get lots of love from me and the family. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I take breaks through the day to care for puppies, whether that's a quick potty break, fun walk, or play time with balls and toys. When boarding, I make sure pups get any meds they need, plenty of time outside, and snuggles on the couch (if they're the snuggling type). I know some dogs need longer or shorter walks, and I make adjustments based on what they need.
About: My whole life I have been into only 1 thing! And that is animals. By the age of 13 I was volunteering at a local horse rescue everyday after school and by the age of 18 I was volunteering at my local SPCA feeding and walking dogs. I went to college at SUNY Cobleskill for 4yrs and graduated with honors and received my bachelors degree in Animal Science. I studied many different training techniques with both horses and small animals, I even learned how to clicker train a chicken! ;) I’ve taken classes in care, management, training, behavior issues and many more. After graduation I became a riding instructor and horse trainer at a near by stable. I now run my own business as an equine dentist which leaves me with tons of extra time as I usually only schedule trips 1-2x a week! I currently have 4 horses, 2 cats, 1 really friendly German Shepherds, small Maltese, a ball python, and a Quaker Parrot named Echo. I have my own business! As an equine dentist I normally can only visit farms when owners are home so that means most weekend days are spent doing that while during the weekdays I’m totally free! Yard behind the house for the dogs, it is fenced off. We own a 3 bedroom so plenty of room for more animals! I am right in town so I can take dogs for walks or to the park. I share my house with my bf and his 10yr old sister who is my foster daughter. Also a huge animal person!

About: I've had dogs my entire life from puppies to rescues! I've also been a grooming salon manager in Ithaca for 7 years. I've cared for many different breeds, ages, temperaments, and quirks all dogs have and I love them all the same. I'm now a stay at home mom missing my daily dog visits! I have two dogs of my own Luke and Yoda. Luke is a 6 year old lab grey hound mix around 35 lbs. He is very loving and playful. Yoda is a 5 year old miniature fox terrier mix who has unlimited energy and is the sweetest snuggler. I'm willing to bathe and groom but it just depends on your dogs hair and size because I do not have a grooming area set up yet in my home, but I'm willing to talk about it! I am home all day with my baby and two dogs of my own so I can give the same care to some extra dogs! I treat every dog as if they are my own. I have lots of extra blankets to make sure they have there own space (i do recommend to bring some of there stuff like blankets, beds, and toys to make them more comfortable) and have extra room to separate them if they need to be alone. I will always make sure they are comfortable, happy, loved, and safe!

I have trained the older ones to do tricks and to go on walks. My most recent experience has mostly been in care for cats, where I would feed and play with them at home visits. I am currently a line cook and I work mostly evenings. I can easily work pet care around my schedule by making sure I go to take care of your pet needs before any shift. I have two cats at home, and I am willing to house cats at my home. Small dogs are allowed on a case by case basis. I have an extra bedroom to be used as a safe zone for your pet's privacy. I also already have extra litter boxes. Our cats here have experience meeting other cats and dogs. They interact well with them. As for dogs I am willing to dedicate as much time needed to make sure they adjust well and feel safe with me. I love to play with dogs and give them belly rubs.
About: I've taken care of dogs of all breeds, ages, and personalities for a large portion of my life - from when I was a kid in Jersey until last year, when my sweet and challenging pit bull, Hudson passed away. The fourteen years I spent with him taught me everything I could possibly want to know about how to care for a dog. I love and miss him so. I'm not in a position to adopt a new dog of my own yet, but spending time with yours would be the next best thing! I have a part-time job at a local artist residency with flexible hours. About: Living with family dogs since the age of 5 I have completely fallen in love. My favorite job has been at a doggy daycare when I get to interact and watch over all the well being of the dogs. About: I have always lived with pets! :) I grew up with dogs Ella and Koikkie when I was little, and loved walking and playing with them. In college I couldn't have a dog, but I did get my first cat, Oliver. He was more or less feral when we found him but with lots of love and food, he became a lap cat with a happy home on a farm. Two years ago I moved to Ithaca, and have two 3-year old Siberian cats, Nadja and Moose. They need a lot of exercise and play which includes taking them out on leashes to walk around the block. I also frequently cat sit for my friends who have a mix of young and old cats. I'm currently working part-time 5 days a week. I am available for weekend pet-sitting and short visits during the week. About: I’ve always been a dog person all my life. I just have a way with dogs. Patience is the best way to try your animals. Family members rely on me to feed their animals. Currently working at a grocery store so my hours are always different. When I finish working though I head straight over to where I need to go. Sometimes I head over before I have to work too. I take the animals outside when they need to go to the bathroom. While I’m out there I watch carefully over them. I comfort and pay attention to them. I talk to them like they are humans.

About: Peppy Pet Care was launched at the end of 2018 in Ithaca, NY by myself and my animal-loving, entrepreneurial eleven year old daughter. “We are so lucky to have found Ashley C. on Rover. Com. Ashley and her husband Brian boarded our 5 month old German Shepherd (Isa) from 7/24/23-7/29/23 at their home. Each morning Ashley sent me an update on Isa’s day without fail. She also included numerous pictures of Isa engaging in play with her own personal dogs. Although, prior to obtaining Isa, one of are greatest worries was that having another dog would tie us down and limit our vacations we enjoy taking. We knew having a German shepherd would be a bit hard to travel with for the most part. I did look at other boarding options but I found them to be lacking and caused me a few sleepless nights on where or who to leave Isa with. Ashley arranged a meet and greet and I knew in the 1st three minutes that Isa would be fine in Ashley’s home. Isa did wonderful and I did not have a single worry regarding Isa. Each picture showed me that she was thoroughly playing hard, engaged and loved all the romping around with Ashley’s dogs. They have a great yard and are certainly experienced in boarding dogs. They were very good at keeping her at home routine so she was comfortable. I couldn’t thank Ashley and Brian enough for the care they provided for Isa.”
