I especially love teaching puppies tricks, such as "sit," "spin," "come here," I can teach them to recognize their names, and I can potty and crate train as well. I used to volunteer at the Nashville Humane Society walking and socializing dogs and cats, and I have experience taking care of animals with special needs or special medical instructions. I love taking pictures of cute moments and will make sure any animal staying with me is loved and cared for! About: Believe it or not I actually grew up with a cat allergy. However, from going to my friends' houses over the years and being exposed to their cats (and working at a pet store), it seems like that allergy has gone away! I have absolutely no issues being in the same household as cats, and have not had any issues arise from being around them!

“Mindy provided day care for my aunt's dog, Sassy, while we visited Niagara Falls from Arkansas. Sassy had never been under someone else's care and my aunt was nervous about leaving her with a "stranger". But Mindy was wonderful and allowed us to come for a 'meet and greet' when we arrived in town the day before our booking. My aunt was still nervous about leaving her the next day because Sassy, being a Maltipoo, has separation anxiety. But Mindy knew taking Sassy for a walk right after we left would be a good distraction. She was also wonderful about sending pictures and videos especially that first day and that made us feel better about leaving her. By the second day Sassy was comfortable going straight to Mindy when we arrived. Also, she was very flexible regarding drop off and pick up times.”

“Toktam was a loving, sensitive angel when it came to the way she took care of our little Puerto Rican rescue pup Maisie. Maisie is quite wary of new people, but to my delight and surprise, the second day we dropped her off Maisie smiled a doggie smile usually reserved for only three family members (me, my daughter and my husband) and happily rushed to Toktam's front yard gate to see her! Wow! That was a first. About: As Adoption Coordinator for the Oahu SPCA, I've seen it all. I've cared for dogs and cats in a clinical setting, as a foster, owner, and sitter for many years. I've found homes for countless animals in a rescue setting. And more than anything, I want your pet to feel safe and happy when their loving family is away. I work for myself from home, so my schedule is flexible and I can spend lots of quality time with your baby. Your pet will have no shortage of attention, snuggles, quality time and exercise. Dogs love routine- whether they're staying with me or at your house. Waking up at the same time each morning makes certain they get the ya-ya's out and don't have to wait to go potty. Puppies and older dogs with more urgent bladder needs will of course be accomodated with extra supervised trips outside and puppy pads if needed. I'm very conscious that there are no animal-toxic foods/plants/fragrances left out for pets to get into. You can rest assured your pet will be fed the proper amounts, medicines, and brands of your choice to protect their digestive system. My home offers a big beautiful bike path on the river, where your pet will get tons of good walks and a big house to explore. For cats, I have a large but contained space for them to roam and also find seclusion without getting lost. Their litter box will stay in the same spot every time so they know where to go, and they will always have fresh litter. I would love to play with them so bring their favorite toys! No other pets are in the home as all of our babies passed of old age. Adult family members share the home, so there is extra help. No kiddos are in the home so no concerns there. If in your home, I'm very diligent about making sure doors are secure and locked so pets don't escape. I always know where your pet is and make sure their environment is calm and quiet.

Shannon's gentle manner won her over quickly. She also communicated with me the day of the walk and took them out for over 30 minutes and almost a mile. About: I’ve taken care of a couple different dogs for around three to four years now doing basic care takings needs such as playing, walking, and feeding. I have also had a Shih tzu of my own for 3 years now. I work part time and I am a full time student. My summer schedule has classes and work several days of the week. I’m generally free most mornings and after 9pm on days I work. I let my dog walk around our home freely. However in our backyard I have a leash for him so he can walk around while not being able to run off! When I am dog watching when I am away I would crate the dog if im gone for several hours and let them roam if its for a short amount of time.

About: I have been able to take care of animals (dogs and cats) since age 5 as I had pets throughout my whole life. I have also briefly owned horses building the skillset of hygiene care for larger animals. I absolutely love dogs. About: I have taken care of my sister dog for 7 months her name was chichi. I had lots of experience with taking her to walks, making sure she used the bathroom on her walks, also bathing her. About: I have owned dogs all my life, and turned to fostering and dogsitting after college for shorter commitments. I have fostered over 15 dogs, including seniors, puppies, 70+ lb reactive dogs, and those needing medications. I have also catsit for friends and neighbors and cared for fish the last three years. I work from home so I'm able to be attentive to your pets, and I like to take 15 minute breaks to walk a few times a day. I have a puppy-proofed mudroom where we will hang out, and I live across the street from a bike path where I love to walk with a regular leash or long line.
“My family and I went on a mini vacation for 3 nights. When I left my two dogs with Monica I felt very comfortable and felt there was no need to worry about anything, well boy was I right! She is fabulous! About 20 min into their stay with her, she messaged me pictures of them Playing and lounging around . She continued to send me pics daily of them showing me how they were, which was very relieving! The very last day one of my dogs was experiencing loose poops (we think it was just from the heat) which she also had messaged me about prior to pick up . My dog has an accident in her house which I felt terrible about but she was so easy going and sweet about it which was really nice , since I felt so bad! I would take my dogs back to her in a heartbeat! They loved their stay with her and we enjoyed our vacation without worrying about our doggies! She is also very reasonable! I would recommend her 100%!”
