About: I Work nights! I am off Thursday and Friday nights. I've rasied my 80lb. Female dog from when she was 4 weeks old to about 6 years. I'm very active and love to take my dog out for runs. Very disciplined and have taught my big girl to behave politely in NYC. I've taken care of huskies and smaller dogs like chihuahuas and poodles for neighbors as well! I work overnights and just moved to an Tamnersville. I would love to walk or just spend time with a dog. My dog is home on staten island with family and I miss spending time with dogs so much! Hygiene and cleanliness at home are priority. A lot of canine care is knowing what each dogs' wants and needs are. Each dog will communicate to you what they want and need. About: I used to think I was a dog person—until one day my roommate got a kitten. And since then had subsequent roommates with cats that I cared for as if they were my own. I’ve since gotten my own cat child Umami who I love immensely, for the few years I’ve had her. She’s been indoor-outdoor as I respect her desire for freedom and exploration, but am the happiest when she comes back for not just food but cuddles too. About: I didn’t get to experience the joy of growing up with dogs or cats but as soon as I was able I began taking in fosters from the NYC shelter system. It was quite a learning experience spending time with many dogs (and a few cats) of all different types and personalities. I no longer foster but I bring the experience and dedication from working with so many shelter pets to caring for your furry family members. And as a pet parent now myself I have been through many sitters so I understand what makes a good one! A note on boarding and meet and greets: I’m happy to have boarding candidates come by to meet me and check out the space but I do not do meet and greets with my own dogs. My dogs are dog friendly but they are too chaotic and excitable to meet new dogs and owners right away. New dogs are kept separate at first and introduced at their own pace when everyone is calm. This minimizes stress for everyone and allows for better interactions. I currently work out of the house Monday/Wednesday/Friday but my schedule is somewhat flexible. The rest of the week I work at home and I am often available all weekend. Dogs in my home have access to a securely fenced large yard for running and fetch, as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. If the weather is warm dogs have access to a dog door so they may go outside as they please. If your dog likes to play with other dogs mine will certainly be happy to accommodate but they can also have separate spaces if quiet time is needed. In your home I will make every effort to keep your pets schedule as familiar as possible while offering lots of love and stimulation. As someone who has had many sitters come through and stay at my house I understand the importance of trust and cleanliness so you can be away without worry.

About: Hello! I’m a professional writer who works from home and often watches my neighbors’ dogs just because I think it’s fun. I joined Rover to help others who might need last-minute dog sitting. My own golden retriever Emmett chills with me all day and we go for walks around the block at lunchtime and we’d love for your friend to join us! I host one dog at a time (in addition to Emmett). I’ve been around dogs and pets of all kinds my whole life and am happy to just spend some quality time feeding, patting, walking or running with a good pooch. I’m super comfortable with all breeds, just maybe not strong enough to handle anyone over 100 pounds unless they’re super well trained. I’ve seen Emmett and my previous dogs, Henry and Teddy, through all kinds of ear infections, hot spots, and geriatric arthritis treatments and am really good at finding ticks! My brother has Emmett’s brother, Gary, so you’ll see the two of them in a few pics together. I’m a remote freelance writer so my schedule is very flexible. I walk Emmett every day at least three times a day so it’s really easy to add an additional dog to the mix. I’m home all day so we all hang. Our yard is unfortunately not fenced but because I spend a lot of time at my computer I balance that with a lot of midday dog walks. When your pet stays here it’s very chill; as long as your dog gets along with Emmett they’ll have full range of the house and can snooze wherever and then we’ll go walk about around the block a few times, which nets out to be about a mile.

About: When I was 8, I wrote a poem about how badly I wanted to hang out with animals all day, added my parents' land line #, and then made a ton of copies for each mailbox in the neighborhood. I was sole proprietor of the Elizabeth's House, Dog, Cat, & Plant Sitting operation for about 10 years until I left home for undergrad. Now at 38 I've continued to offer my services to any family, friends, coworkers, etc. in need of a responsible, thoughtful, detail-oriented person for house, pet, and or plant sitting. I have experience caring for pets with a variety of care needs: senior animals, puppies & kittens, pets that need to be administered medication and/or special diets, and animals with behavioral issues. I am deeply respectful of every animal's unique personality, and take time to understand and anticipate your pet's every need. I will treat your fur babies like they're my own! I took a break from Rover for the past 2 years, but now I'm back and excited to meet some new clients <3 I work remotely from home, so my schedule is uniquely flexible to care for your home, pet, plants, either within your space or mine. I'm an early riser and prefer to remain quite active during the day, so I can provide plenty of stimulation for your pets as needed. I treat any space I stay in as if it were my home. This means you'll come back to a clean, tidy, organized house, with thriving plants and happy pets. I'm comfortable with crate training, reinforcing behavioral & obedience training as set by pet owners, and using special muzzles & harnesses for walks as needed. As an amateur horticulture enthusiast, I will also make sure to maintain awareness of the environmental needs of any plants and gardens in my care. About: I've taken care of my grand dog Daisy many weekends while my kids are on vacation. I've dog sat for small and big dogs at my home for many years. Since I am retired, I am able to tend to your pets needs 24/7. I have a very flexible schedule and I am a very active person that will take your dog out for many walks. I live in a spacious condo alone, and do not have any pets. My complex has a dog park which is maintained and kept clean if approved by you. Your pet will receive top notch service under my care.
About: Now that I have graduated college and I am living back home! I have a lot of time to do one of my favorite things which is to care for animals! I have experience rescuing dogs and giving them loving homes. In the past I have trained with a dog trainer to get a better sense on how to better work with dogs. I am an early bird, I usually start my days at 5:30! I make sure to get some exercise and take a morning walks. I have a very strong ritual of waking up early and being active. I usually take the afternoons to read and prepare my applications for JD/PHD programs. In between these two things in my schedule, I have a lot of free time that I would love to spend with your pets! I also do not mind traveling to different boroughs if needed!! In my own home, I have a very large living room space, which gives pets spaces to stretch, lay out, play and or explore. In clients home I always make sure to know what boundaries/ areas are off limits for the pets and respect that.

I freelance in film production which allows me to be flexible with days and time. I have a wired sleeping schedule too which will allow me to go whenever to watch your pet. About: I grew up with all different types of animals my whole life. I have been a dog mom for 13 years. I am great at walking dogs who have aggression towards other dogs, I know how to find a calm route to take and distract them before conflict arises! I recently lost my 90 lb alapaha blue blood bulldog mix to a terminal illness and am looking forward to spending time with other people's dogs.
