I can do drop-in visit (15 minutes), or a full 30 minute walk or play in the yard. More time can be requested, if necessary. About: I have been caring for and grooming dogs and cats since I was 12 years old, and I am comfortable with both dogs and cats. I am always available for pet sitting, I work from home and I am more likely available for the weekdays and weekends to pet sit. I have a big yard that my two dogs love to run around in. About: I've taken care of dogs since I was a child. I owned two Miniature Pinschers growing up and I adopted one Australian Shepherd mix that has special needs as an adult. I trained all of my dogs from the time they were puppies until they passed away as seniors. I also volunteered at the Humane Society of Westchester. I've always enjoyed being around animals since I was young and animals tend to feel the same way about me. Animals who are usually timid around strangers are comfortable around me right away and they seem to trust me right away. I feel like connecting with animals (dogs specifically) is a gift that I have. Being a sitter is a great way for me to use that gift in everyday life. I'm able to adapt to the normal routine of the pets that I'm sitting in order to make the process as smooth as possible. I don't have a lot of room in my studio apartment so I'm only able to watch either 1-2 small dogs or one medium sized dog. Large dogs are too big for my apartment. If I'm at a client's home, I'll change my schedule to meet the needs of the pet. I believe all animals are unique and all have different needs in order to thrive in the environment that they're in. I'm willing to meet those needs by building my schedule around the animals that I'm sitting.

About: I grew up in a dog-centric household, however I have taken care of my own dogs for the past 19 years. For the last 8 years, I've had the opportunity to foster dogs through different organizations, as well. It has been an extremely rewarding and educational experience with regards to learning about a multitude of different dogs and how best to deal with different dog personalities and what their mannerisms indicate. The foster dogs that I cared for ranged from puppies to senior dogs and included numerous different breeds. I'm available to walk any pup beginning from late morning into the evening, including multiple times a day. I currently live in a house with 3 acres and a huge back yard with forest surrounding it, so it is not fenced. However, I'm more than happy to walk your dog if there's a fear that they will run into the forest. I'm also open to dog-sitting for anyone going on vacation! Our house is set up to accommodate dogs visiting and staying due to my previous fostering, which is how I came to have my two current dogs. “I left my high energy dog, Marley with Kevin for one night. I can tell he definitely enjoyed his short stay. Kevin was very good with providing updates and pictures/videos. I've read some reviews about some sitters being rude if there's some issues. Kevin was very professional in handling and informing me about Marley's issues. This was only my third time using a sitter and Marley is still very new to it but this was by far the best experience I've had.”
“Elaine is an amazing dog sitter. I left my 1 year old boxer with her for a weekend and I must say he acted like he didn’t want to leave. I received pictures of him playing with the other dogs and he looked so happy. I can tell he got enough exercise that he needs. The dogs got along with each other and she is well experienced with dog sitting. She has a great fenced in backyard and dog pool for the pups as well! Highly recommended!!
