She reduces anxieties naturally by listening carefully and observing astutely. Hygge had never been away or 'boarded' for pet sitting prior to my experience with Andrea. At all times she was communicative, caring and purposeful in her interactions with Hygge, who probably worried about being in a new home away from home for a few days on many levels. My transportation plans were delayed due to a severe storm that prevented my scheduled pick up, and Andrea was patient, reasonable and loving during my own stress about being stuck in NYC beyond my control for the pick up of my dog after traveling for a few days. She worked with me every step of the way, and the boarding experience was a total success even with transportation issues. Hygge returned home happy, healthy, well-nourished and satisfied with renewed confidence in his ability to work with another lovely family in our sweet community in a spirit of trust and sucess. About: I grew up on a dairy farm with all sorts of animals around. I have had many dogs, cats, parrots, chickens, rabbits, rats, and horses over the years. I have a degree in Equestrian Science and have taken care of animals my entire adult life. I have always been an avid hiker as well and love to take the pups on walks around the area. I currently own 3 dogs, a parrot, and 2 chickens and will give your animals the same love and attention that I give my own! About: I got my first family dog, Ted, at age 7 and cared for him up until his passing in 2025. He was just shy of turning 15 years old. He was the best! He lived an exciting life full of love and treats, with a big yard to run around. In the last couple years of his life his needs significantly increased. He began losing his eye sight and hearing, having frequent memory loss, and eventually having frequent accidents, amongst other senior issues. I became very familiar with the needs of a senior animal and always took pride in caring for Ted. He was just as much family to me as anyone else. Throughout Ted’s life, and now after his passing, I have always had a great love for dogs and have repeatedly taken on watching and walking pets for family and friends. I know that not all animals are the same, and that each one requires different care just like people. At all times she was communicative, caring and purposeful in her interactions with Hygge, who probably worried about being in a new home away from home for a few days on many levels. My transportation plans were delayed due to a severe storm that prevented my scheduled pick up, and Andrea was patient, reasonable and loving during my own stress about being stuck in NYC beyond my control for the pick up of my dog after traveling for a few days. She worked with me every step of the way, and the boarding experience was a total success even with transportation issues.
