About: I have my own home with a fenced in backyard, I love hiking and running the trails. I have 5 fur-nephews and nieces and haven’t met a dog that I haven’t befriended. About: Hello, I’m Hailey! I’m currently earning my post graduate hours as a mental health counselor. The field can be pretty heavy and demanding, so doing things that bring genuine joy and rejuvenate you is so important. I love animals and I love spending time outside, so walking dogs is like the best of both worlds. It gives me the opportunity to be present, grounded, and be involved in my community. It is also rough out here being pre licensed, so anything extra helps. I’ve owned dogs all of life; I’ve had 6 dachshunds this far, so I have experience with dogs of all ages. Additionally, I’ve also been dog sitting for my relatives throughout the years. While my dogs are teenie tiny, I’ve walked medium and larger dogs before. Breed experience is as follows: dachshunds, Irish terrier, border collies, a husky, and a mastiff. Behaviors I’ve dealt with include anxiety, reactivity, and resource guarding. My most recent edition to my family guards and is very much a “my way or the highway” kind of dog. That being said, I’ve done a lot of research on dog behaviors and try to be mindful of their needs and body language. I have a background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and learned a lot about conditioning and reinforcement in my years of education. I’m in no way a dog trainer, but I know when to reward desired behaviors and when not to reward. I prefer to stick to dog walking since my schedule outside of Rover is pretty demanding. While my schedule is fairly demanding outside of River, my days off from my other job are very open. About: I have been an animal lover all my life! I enjoy caring for other people’s animals which I have been doing for over five years, along with four years working in a doggy day care and six years as a vet assistant. I have been with one specific dog family for the past 9 years and even helped the dog give birth! I am also well versed in and enjoy reptiles as well as aquatic animals! About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and have rescued and cared for several over the years. Caring for animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy and take seriously. Because I only accept a limited number of dogs at a time, each guest receives plenty of individualized attention, playtime, affection, and care throughout the day. My home is quiet, fully fenced, and designed to help dogs feel safe and comfortable. There are no children or resident pets, allowing me to provide a calm environment and plenty of one-on-one attention. Dogs are welcome on the furniture, have clean dog beds throughout the house, and can even sleep with us if that’s what they’re used to at home. I send daily photo and video updates, and you’re always welcome to message me anytime. Several veterinary hospitals and clinics are within a 5-minute drive if veterinary care is ever needed.

About: I grew up with dogs and have been taking care of them ever since I can remember. I have a wide range of experience ranging from training young puppies to taking care of elderly and sick dogs. About: I’ve been around dogs for basically my whole life and I’ve always loved animals. I’ve been taking care of my own pets- walking, feeding, bathing, training, etc- for as long as I can remember. More recently I’ve taken care of friends pets while their owners are away- including dogs, cats, and a bunny. In these instances I was responsible for checking in on the pets a few times a day to feed them, let them outside, refill water, and give them lots of love and attention. I have also volunteered to dog walk at a few local shelters. I’m currently home from college for the summer and I have a lot of free time. I have a few short trips that are blocked out on my calendar and should be available otherwise. When walking dogs I try to always be aware of my surroundings and be on the lookout for cars, other dogs, or wild animals. My own dog can be a bit sneaky and is a big chewer so I know how important it is to be vigilant when watching dogs. I’ve also had a reactive dog in the past so I’m confident in my abilities to distract and remove a dog from a hostile situation. I’m always interested in learning more about proper pet care and have spent time researching pet safe foods and activities for my own pets. My goal is always to give a pet the best care possible.
