“Janyl went above and beyond to provide amazing care to my two cats while I was away for two weeks. I was nervous to leave them for this amount of time especially because one is elderly and has some health issues. Janyl immediately put me at ease during our initial meet and greet. She was very thorough, asked great questions, and was clearly very knowledgable. Janyl had great intuition when it came to the cats' temperaments. She checked in with me daily, sent lots of pictures, and gave me a detailed run down of what she and the cats did each day. She even clipped their nails during her visit and vacuumed. About: My husband and I both work full time out of the house. We're not home during the week 8-9 hours at a time. We live in a single story house on 14.75 acres (no fence). I have had dogs most of my life before moving to Central New York, then finally got our dog in 2017 after moving into our house. My husband and I personally have a dog named Stitch and 2 rabbits, Zander and Rocky. If any of the dogs can't leave their cages alone we relocate the rabbits to another room. No worries they are used to this. Where we can enjoy a good game of fetch in the back yard (long line of course). Your dog(s) will be a part of the family and treated as if they are our own dogs while at our house. If you have any other questions or concerns don't hesitate to ask. Pets are taken care of first. They depend on us to take care of them so that's how it is for us. My pets are well taken care of and socialized. Dogs that come to stay with us are treated like family. They lounge on the couch (if they are aloud at home) with us after a day at work.
About: I've taken care of all different types of pets ranging from lizards to horses and sheep since I was young. Have taken care of family, friends, and neighbors pets as well as house sat while pet sitting. I have also worked on a family sheep farm and a friend's horse farm. Promptly giving medicine to those animals in need for specific time, and patience tending to their attentions and needs. I work full time remote M-Thursday 8am-4pm with an hour and half lunch break each day. I work 3x a week part time on site and can be flexible as needed. About: No dog deserves the kennel! Why settle for the pound when they can spend a night in a home with an owner-on-loan; either in your house on in a house that has raised two other pets from puppyhood to old age? Admittedly, there are stairs and hardwood floors in my house, but I have bought several carpets for my old dog to move around on and can lay them down for your dog’s convenience. We also have a big backyard that your dog will love to run around in (and no predators, unless you count woodchucks and geese) and a long leash that can go all the way to the end of the property line. I love dogs and after a day with me, your furry friend will mistake me for his mother. I’m most busy Wednesdays-Thursdays, so I marked them out on the calendar, but if petsitting is required for several days, that is easy to accommodate! I also don’t mind waking up every few hours to take a dog out—I have not quite reached the age where sleep is important. I won’t allow your dog to roam around outside unleashed (sorry, but I don’t want to lose them!), but when they’re outside, I’ll make sure they have the freedom to run around to their heart’s content. Additionally, I’m willing to walk them in any weather they’ll put up with and even let them sleep on the couch/spare bed, if they’re not too dirty.

The health and safety of your animals is my top priority, and so is treating them with the kindness that I would want my own animals to be treated with. However, I will never allow an animal to free roam or allow the animal to be turned out in a fenced in area that I find unsuitable, regardless of instruction, as I do not want to be responsible for the animal's escape.

We have completely obedience training, so I know how to keep control of your dog while on a leash, and how to give/reinforce basic cues. I believe we will have a lot of fun while hanging out! My schedule is quite flexible, as I currently work freelance. I can usually accommodate last minute bookings, however I do need to be home to tend to my own dog at least every 8hrs. While conducting drop-in visits, your dogs will get plenty of play time, pets, and snuggles. (And hopefully treats!) They will be let out for potty breaks, and/or taken on walks, then brought inside so that they can continue on with their day.

I will add, there is no option to add rates for animals aside from cats and dogs. I have an additional rate for animals in tanks or cages at a rate of $10 per tank/cage per day.
