I have volunteered in the animal care center at Greenburgh nature center where I got to care for a variety of reptiles and mammals. How many visits are there per day? The number of visits is determined by you, the pet owner. Normally, cats require only one or two visits per day, unless medications need to be given. The length of each visit depends on the client's needs. The average visit lasts 30-45 minutes, but longer visits may be requested and the price would be adjusted accordingly. 3. Will you provide services other than animal care? I can also bring in the mail, open/close blinds as needed, take out the trash, clean litter boxes as needed, turn lights on or off, etc. to provide your house the security it needs while you're away. 4. What will happen if my pet becomes ill while I am away? You will sign a vet release form at the time of the first visit. If you're pet becomes ill while you are away, I will contact you first, unless I deem it to be an emergency. I don't work a regular job because I have my own businesses. This allows me the luxury of making my own schedule and working from home, so I am able to stop whatever I'm working on an any given time to take care of any animals that are in my care. It's truly the perfect side job for me. At my home, I have 2 fenced areas that I can use for when your dog(s) need to go out, otherwise they'll be inside with me getting lots of love. They would never be let out unsupervised as I'd never want to take a chance of them escaping. (My goats are known for this so they've made me paranoid. Lol) Oh, and by the way, I have Valais Blacknose sheep (a.k.a. the "world's cutest sheep!") and Nigerian Dwarf goats who all stay in their own fenced pasture together. I also have two very sweet LGDs who are wonderful with other dogs, but stay in the pasture and lean-to (attached to my house) with them at all times to protect the animals and property from coyotes. And they do their job extremely well! At your home, I will follow whatever instructions you provide for the care of your fur babies, and I'll send you text updates everyday, including pictures and video.
