About: I've been caring for dogs since middle school, including over 12 years of hands-on experience caring for my own dog, Aubrey. “Tara accepted to watch my basenji for me practically last minute and it was a great relief for me. We had a warm meet and greet first then Pepi stayed with her for a night a few days later. She made sure he was safe, sent me pictures and videos updates of him. Pepi was thoroughly entertained in her fenced backyard and with her other pets. About: I’ve walked and trained my own lab mix (10) as well as worked as a dog walker and sitter for independent clients. I’m great with energetic dogs of all sizes. I work a minimum wage job full time during the week, but am looking to supplement or replace it with dog walking on weekends and evenings. At my clients home I will sit out with the dog and crate it easily if needed. I am able to take the dog out every few hours and love taking them on long walks if desired.

About: Most people feel stressed or guilty when leaving their four legged friends alone for a long weekend or week, but boarding them in the right environment where they are well cared for, feel safe, have structure to their day and are exhausted from play or just catching up on naps gives you peace of mind. Boarding your pup at this home will allow you to sleep like a baby and enjoy your time away to recharge or take care of business. The home is quiet, low key with plenty of room for your pup to stretch their legs out, have zoomies, bird watch from a window or enjoy the sunshine & fresh air in the fenced in yard. The resident dog is an older pup who isn't bothered by much and loves the company of a four legged friend. While Boarding here, walks around a quiet neighborhood occur 3-4 times per day due to the request of the resident dog unless you would prefer not to have this service and use the yard, play time is encouraged and belly rubs or ear scratches will be given as well. Please note, extra precautions will be taken around holiday weekends noted to have fireworks, during thunderstorms or cold weather when there is a lot of salt on roads/sidewalks. Lastly, the home often fosters dogs from the South who were rescued from being euthanized or out of a horrific situation, these pups are vetted & vaccinated prior to arriving and safety is always a priority. This is mentioned because your dog/dogs will be the only guest unless there is a foster in need and you will be notified of this. You can be personally assured that all the fosters that have stayed in the home arrived shy and after a few days realized they were in a safe place and have been sweet, loving & have become fast friends of the resident dog. Please note, if you are local or traveling to Beacon for the weekend or an event, accommodations for your pups pick-up locally or at the train station can be arranged. Your pup will have 24 hour care while they are boarding, please be sure to provide any specific instructions for medications and check your calendars for when preventatives are due which can be given to ensure they are administered on the correct day of the month. Dog centered care is provided 24/7 until your return; experiences with all types of personalities, separation anxiety, shy pups, high energy pups, geriatric pups & reactive pups. While we can offer dog beds, toys and a crate if preferred, you can pack your pup an overnight bag with all you would like them to have while you are away as well.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life, I have owned and cared for multiple breeds of dogs and cats, big and small, and been a pet sitter for friends and family on and off for the last 10 years. As a result of my experience as a pet parent and sitter I am very comfortable with most breeds. I also have limited experience training full grown dogs as well as puppies. I am available for walks, check-ins, or pet sitting every day. I am also available for boarding on a case by case basis. My work schedule allows me to be present for most of the day, so I can remain attentive and take plenty of walk and play breaks. During the times that I am gone I am able to crate them if that is your preference or they can have free access to the main part of the house and I will check in on them regularly through the doggie cams. I am able to dog sit in your home as well as in my own home, which has a large amount of indoor space that they can roam around in, as well as a partially fenced back yard that they can play in on a long leash with my supervision. I have plenty of time for walks and play breaks during the day. And during the few hours a day that I am out of the house, they can be crated, or they can roam around the main part of the house. I check in on them every half hour through the doggy cams set up in the house. I am comfortable walking, feeding, and if necessary, providing medication on the schedule and in the manner that you prefer.
