Kate sent us regular pictures and updates, was very flexible about our schedule for pickup and drop-off, prompt and easy to communicate with, and we didn’t worry about Astrid at all. About: I have spent my entire life surrounded by animals of all kind and have always had the love and drive to ensure they have the best life and experiences possible. This love and compassion has led me to volunteering at the SPCA for a number of months, which turned into working there for over 4 years as both an animal care attendant and as a veterinary assistant. In my time there, I have been given the most incredible opportunity to both care for and rehouse hundreds of animals and have even acquired a couple of cats along the way. Pets are allowed on the furniture, unless you state explicitly state you don't want them to be. I prefer not to kennel overnight, but there are always exceptions to the rule! As a pet mom to 11 furry, scaly, and feathered babies, I know how hard it can be to find reliable pet care. My animals are my children, my babies; the most important things in my world. I promise to love yours the way I’d love my own. I am currently unemployed and taking a leap. What I’d LOVE is to start my own pet care company. I know how hard it is to find pet care in and around the Berkshires, especially the holidays when all the day cares and well known sitters are booked - so let me take some of that weight off you. I’m flexible and reliable and can do drops ins, walks, day stays, over nights, or multiple day stays. I’m open to any animal type, including pocket pets, exotics and special needs. What can I say? Pets are really the only thing most of us like in this crazy world; so it’s kind of the perfect job. 😉 I am open to all types of care, all types of animals, and all types of situations. I have experience in vet medicine and have had elderly and special needs animals my whole life. No matter how long my interaction with your baby is, I assure you it will be filled with love.

“I found Jane on Rover last minute we were lucky she had space to take Kali for the weekend. First time for us to leave our dog with anyone so we were a bit nervous. Jane put us at ease and our dog Kali had a wonderful time playing with other pups all weekend long! “Marika was amazing! Feel very fortunate to have gotten her on short notice. My Viszla mix Susie loved her immediately. Marika took her on lots of walks (with tick check afterwards), sent updates, and her house/backyard space were perfect for an active breed. She went above and beyond when it came to making sure Susie was stimulated, making up little games for her to play with the squirrels and rabbits. Anytime I'm in the area I'll definitely be looking to book with Marika.”
“Chaqutia looked after my pup, Ralph, for just over a week. I was nervous about leaving him for such a long period of time especially as he was unwell. Chaqutia put my mind at ease instantly and sent updates multiple times throughout the day of both photos and videos as well as a report of how he did with his food and confirming he took his meds. Any questions I had or suggestions I made, she responded to promptly. She’s a very kind and caring person and also very responsible with things like a camera set up in the room dogs sleep in to check on throughout the night. She was flexible with both pick up and drop off times and really listened to our needs Her home is beautiful, large and on a very quiet secluded road which was reassuring as less traffic. Her family are truly lovely and her eldest child played with Ralph lots (particularly loved those videos) Would definitely use Chaqutia again and recommend her to others!”

About: I have had dogs and cats in my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve been walking and taking care of them for many years. I now have my own pup, she is now almost 5 and I have four cats as well at different ages. I have fostered, bored and walked family and friends pets as well. Summer 2025*** I will be working summer school this summer but will be available Monday thru Thursday AFTER 1pm and Friday through Sunday ALL day/night unless otherwise marked unavailable :) I am a Teaching Assistant over at FDR BY DAY, and would love to help you with your pets by evening or weekend! I will also be available for most holidays! Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns! I can walk, play and feed your pets. Anything to help so please feel free to ask! If they are dog and cat friendly I can also take them home as needed or watch them at your home as well!
