I am a full time student at Cornell. I have a back yard for puppy play time. I take boarding, sitting, and walking as long as the schedule fits. They would make Blue delicious, nutritious food everyday. The pure excitement in blue’s eyes when he sees the food shows in the pictures Becca send us regularly. We get multiple updates of blue everyday with tons of pictures. Becca and her husband even took blue to Ithaca falls and let him play in the water. Blue got exercised more than we asked for. Blue had problems with allergies during his stay with Becca, but they took good care of blue: wiping his paws after every walk, and feeding him medication hided in a cheese wrap everyday. Especially my older guy (12) who was unexpectedly diagnosed with congestive heart failure about a week before our stay. Getting him to take his heart meds was difficult to say the least...It appears Kara found a trick he fell for and didn't have trouble getting him to take them, which I still haven't mastered...this took a huge worry and axiety off my chest & mind and allowed me to enjoy the weekend with my oldest friends. About: I've had dogs my entire life from puppies to rescues! I've also been a grooming salon manager in Ithaca for 9 years. I've cared for many different breeds, ages, temperaments, and quirks all dogs have and I love them all the same. I have two dogs of my own Luke and Yoda. Luke is a 6 year old lab mix around 35 lbs. He is very loving and playful. Yoda is a 5 year old miniature fox terrier mix who has unlimited energy and is the sweetest snuggler. I am home all day with my baby and two dogs of my own so I can give the same care to some extra dogs! I treat every dog as if they are my own. I have lots of extra blankets to make sure they have there own space (i do recommend to bring some of there stuff like blankets, beds, and toys to make them more comfortable) and have extra room to separate them if they need to be alone. I will always make sure they are comfortable, happy, loved, and safe!

About: I have had many dogs over the years and have trained and cared for all ages and stages. I have experience with reactive dogs, resource guarding, post surgery care, wound care, and medication. I have medic training and am not squeamish when it comes to wounds or illnesses. Public meet ups take place at Ryder park in Dewitt or Canal Landing in Fayetteville. When requesting please provide date and times you are free to meet. I do not offer tours of my home. After a public meet up I can arrange a tour of the yard if needed. This is for safety of dogs and people. Taking a break from the 9-5 job and staying home hanging with the dogs. Have availability to take on a few more dogs due to the passing of my current clients pets. Dogs are unique with their own needs and boundaries. I have a fully fenced back yard that dogs can access using a doggy door. Each dog (or family if siblings want to be together) are booked into their own room that is set up for their specific needs. The dogs gets to decompress and given whatever space they need to be happy and relaxed. I have crates of every size if the dog needs one. I do not crate unless there is a safety concern. Dogs have free reign of the house and yard as long as I am home. If I am not home the dogs are in their rooms which are video monitored (maximum of ~4 hours). The rooms are closed off with gates so dogs have open view of hallways. I use TV or music to create background noise. Dogs do not interact without supervision and any dog introduction is done slowly and never forced. The house is large enough that should a conflict arise the dogs can be placed in separate levels of the house and not interact. When dogs stay with me I see them as my dogs and treat them as family.

About: I always loved having pets growing up. I grew up in the country so we had a lot of space for animals to be able to run around and be outside. Dogs, cats, birds...practically every creature you can imagine. Currently I have a cat of my own, and a friend’s dog who I watch fairly regularly. It works out well because I’m a very active person who likes to get outside as much as possible—hiking when the weather permits and bringing him along with me. This is in part due to my ever-changing, flexible schedule. I have a few set shifts during the week, but for the most part I make my own hours and I have time to be available pretty much whenever I am needed!

About: I have always been a dog lover & a cat lover! I have had dogs & cats since a child growing up.Bunnies, birds, fish, a ferret, I have adopted my dogs & cats and saved a dog, kittens and cats. My baby that I have now is my beautiful black lab named Princess Leah! Princess Leah makes me very happy everyday! I have a handsome, loving, very sweet, talkative cat named Shadow Bear who I adopted. Shadow Bear is my world too! I know I can make your dog, cat or animal happy too! I love the animal for who it is! I look at all animals needs and wants all very differently because not one has the same. We all have feelings and even our fury friends do! I will provide whatever it takes for your fur baby to be happy, comfortable and in a healthy environment. I have been pet sitting, dog walking, exercising, training, keeping your fur baby active, doing therapy with their back legs, joints and mobility, administering medicine, shots, clipped nails, cleaned ears, bathed, brushing, feeding, constantly changing water, keep hydrated, pampering and just loving your animal like he or she needs to be. I took some classes and this one I took at my vet which I was amazed because they taught me how to drain the adrenaline glands and some dogs have a severe issue with that quite often. My dog does! There are classes that you can go in and they will take the time and show you for some things. I like to to participate in these classes so I have knowledge when it comes time to if anything happens. I started dog walking at 12 years old. A long with other jobs of course throughout life. I have been pet sitting for almost 15 years. I am a full time pet sitter with all of your needs and wants for your fur baby as if your fur baby was my own! You see...... I am with my baby almost all day everyday and as you can tell this is my life. Princess Leah has been my life and is my life! Shadow Bear is too! One more thing! I love to walk, I am very cheerful and I love to talk up a storm. I always talk to my Princess Leah & Shadow Bear. I love all animals! Traveling is a lot and a lot of people like when you stay at their homes with their animals and care for them. The animals are safe and feel comfortable in their own environment. I make sure that all my fur babies are cared for, loved, given the attention that they need and all their needs are met. I am a traveling pet sitter now. I use to board animals in my home until I sold my house just recently. Now, I travel to my clients homes. I mostly stay overnight and for more than one day because my clients go away on vacation. I do many services for my clients. I walk your animal, feed your animal whether if it’s can food, dry food or home made food which I have made home made food for my fur babies before and still do. I administer medication to animals, groom them, brush, bathe, keep them active and help them with their mobility, Play, do fun activities with my fur babies, train, keep them busy and entertained and plenty more. I make sure your animal is well cared for, loved like he or she was my own, given the attention it needs, Be happy and even more. I go over and beyond for my fur babies and each and everyone always feels safe, comfortable, loved, happy and etc….. I have a lot of clients and some of them I care for during the Summer when they go away a lot and some of my clients I care for during the week and in wknds. I am very easy to work with because I am a good person. Good people work with good people. All my clients know how caring I am and feel good about leaving their loved ones with me.

About: Hi I have experienced with all size dog and breed through my veterinary assistance experience. I also have a Black Lab her name is Lisa, and she is turning four years old. I am a full time student at Cornell. I have a back yard for puppy play time. I take boarding, sitting, and walking as long as the schedule fits. Also I can do same day appointment to support our pet parents. I have fenced yard. Extra leashes and harness. We are in a dog friendly neighborhood. My dog is 80lb so I can handle dog who pull and large size.

“Kara was wonderful and outgoing and did a wonderful job taking care of my 2 dogs for labor day weekend. Especially my older guy (12) who was unexpectedly diagnosed with congestive heart failure about a week before our stay. I was worried she wouldnt want to care for them after that news, but she took it all in stride. Getting him to take his heart meds was difficult to say the least...It appears Kara found a trick he fell for and didn't have trouble getting him to take them, which I still haven't mastered...this took a huge worry and axiety off my chest & mind and allowed me to enjoy the weekend with my oldest friends. The dogs seemed to really enjoy romping around her fenced in yard so t hat waz an added bonus. Thanks Kara for taking good care of my boys!”
