“Chester was absolutely fabulous when we had him watch Rocco, our 100lb Catahoula Leopard Dog. My father passed way in a different state so we were trying to find someone to watch Rocco either in our home or theirs so we could attend services. He was a rescue a year ago and didn’t want to put him in a kennel or place where he would think he was being abandoned. After reading that Chester not only boards dogs in his home, but has a large property for long walks and a fenced in area for play, I felt confident contacting him. Chester was able to accommodate our last minute request and had a meet and greet that same day. Rocco met the other dog he was boarding at the time and being Rocco loves other dogs, he was excited to be there which made me feel even better. Having access to other rooms, I one this was the place for him. While away, Chester sent us pictures, videos, and a brief summary every day to let us know how Rocco was doing. We saw Rocco getting walks, playing with the other dogs, getting treats, playing with toys, and just relaxing. That put us at ease knowing Chester treated him like his own. I would definitely recommend Chester and we will definitely have Rocco there again one day.”

We also utilize a collapsible fence that we can pull out and set up to create customized secure boundaries if necessary. For exercise, dogs are strictly supervised and kept on-leash as we head down the driveway to our private access point for the D&H Canal trail, keeping them completely away from traffic.

About: When I was a little girl, I read the warrior cat series and fell in love with cats. I decided I had to have one. It took me over two years to convince my parents, but once I got my first (a five year that had been abandoned at the shelter on Christmas) I was hooked. I love every cat, not just my own. Eventually even the most aloof, unfriendly, feral old curmudgeon of a kitty has my respect. I will never force a cat that doesn't want to be bothered to give me attention. That said, I'm very good at doing towel burritos around them if they do need to get a nail trimming or insulin injection. I love to play with them and find new ways to give them enrichment. I really believe cats deserve the attention and commitment dogs do.
About: As an experienced and long time foster, I have cared for dogs in my home with varying needs and personalities. I provide lots of affection, as well as necessary structure, to ensure a balanced and fun stay for all. I also have a sweet, Boxer-mix Zoe (50 lbs), and a Sato from Puerto Rico named Ellie (15 lbs), who love their foster siblings, and boarding mates & love to play, cuddle, and bring them out of their shell, especially little dogs. About: As an experienced and long time foster, I have cared for dogs in my home with varying needs and personalities. I provide lots of affection, as well as necessary structure, to ensure a balanced and fun stay for all. I also have a sweet, Boxer-mix Zoe (50 lbs), and a Sato from Puerto Rico named Ellie (15 lbs), who love their foster siblings, and boarding mates & love to play, cuddle, and bring them out of their shell, especially little dogs.
