About: I'm an enthusiastic dog walker and sitter that has a passion for dogs and rescuing them. I have been involved in dog rescue and fostering in the Syracuse area for a number of years. I've cared for a number of my own dogs and cats from young to seniors. I've also been a foster parent to a number of dogs when rescues needed someone. I can handle the most challenging of dogs down to little babies and everything in between. Your dog will get plenty of love and attention when I'm around! I give all dogs the same love and affection I would give my own dog and see the importance of cuddle and buddy time along with good exercise. About: I have had many dogs over the years and have trained and cared for all ages and stages. I have experience with reactive dogs, resource guarding, post surgery care, wound care, and medication. I have medic training and am not squeamish when it comes to wounds or illnesses. Public meet ups take place at Ryder park in Dewitt or Canal Landing in Fayetteville. When requesting please provide date and times you are free to meet. I do not offer tours of my home. After a public meet up I can arrange a tour of the yard if needed. This is for safety of dogs and people. Taking a break from the 9-5 job and staying home hanging with the dogs. Have availability to take on a few more dogs due to the passing of my current clients pets. Dogs are unique with their own needs and boundaries. I have a fully fenced back yard that dogs can access using a doggy door. Each dog (or family if siblings want to be together) are booked into their own room that is set up for their specific needs. The dogs gets to decompress and given whatever space they need to be happy and relaxed. I have crates of every size if the dog needs one. I do not crate unless there is a safety concern. Dogs have free reign of the house and yard as long as I am home. If I am not home the dogs are in their rooms which are video monitored (maximum of ~4 hours). The rooms are closed off with gates so dogs have open view of hallways. I use TV or music to create background noise. Dogs do not interact without supervision and any dog introduction is done slowly and never forced. The house is large enough that should a conflict arise the dogs can be placed in separate levels of the house and not interact. When dogs stay with me I see them as my dogs and treat them as family.

Please don’t invite me to your home and surprise me with a prong collar—I will not use it on your dog.) Now here’s my bio: No dog deserves the kennel! Why settle for the pound when they can spend a night in a home with an owner-on-loan; either in your house on in a house that has raised two other pets from puppyhood to old age? Admittedly, there are stairs and hardwood floors in my house, but I have bought several carpets for my old dog to move around on and can lay them down for your dog’s convenience. We also have a big backyard that your dog will love to run around in (and no predators, unless you count woodchucks and geese) and a long leash that can go all the way to the end of the property line. I love dogs and after a day with me, your furry friend will mistake me for his mother. I’m most busy Wednesdays-Thursdays, so I marked them out on the calendar, but if petsitting is required for several days, that is easy to accommodate! I also don’t mind waking up every few hours to take a dog out—I have not quite reached the age where sleep is important. I won’t allow your dog to roam around outside unleashed (sorry, but I don’t want to lose them!), but when they’re outside, I’ll make sure they have the freedom to run around to their heart’s content. Additionally, I’m willing to walk them in any weather they’ll put up with and even let them sleep on the couch/spare bed, if they’re not too dirty.

About: I have had pets in my family for all of my life. Always dogs and cats, but also many different reptiles, birds, rabbits, ferrets, hamsters and both fresh and salt water aquariums. It is all too much work to keep so many pets myself, so I figured Rover was a way that my family and myself can share our love for pets with others’ animals. I am experienced with dogs of all ages from puppies to seniors. Special care or medicines are not an issue for me. I work evening hours, typically 3 or 4PM until 10pm-12am. My wife works 8am- 4pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and works from home on Monday and Thursday. We have two responsible teens who also help with our pet care. Someone is almost always home throughout every day with the exception of up to 2 hours in the afternoon. I have a fenced in yard and an 8 year old dog who loves to play with other dogs. She enjoys when our friends bring over their dogs and she gets to run around in the yard with them. We have a gate to use in the stairs in case the dogs want or need a break from one another. Visiting pets will be kept in the downstairs of the house so the cats have a safe place upstairs. Most of the fenced in backyard is covered by cameras for your peace of mind. As an added bonus, my daughter has a dog agility course complete with jumps that she loves to run our pup through. Your little friend will get plenty of exercise. We also live on a quiet dead-end circle that provides a nice leash walking area with minimal traffic. As far as caring for your pets on your home, I will follow your instructions precisely and leave your house as-is.

About: Growing up my family owned a dog as well as a cat, and I helped tend to the care of both animals in the home. I believe that having this responsibility engraved in me from a young age has helped shape me to be a solid pet care taker now. As well as my open availability on the weekends I can not unfortunately offer to care for pets in my own home, as it is unfenced and has a cat residing that does best as a single pet. This is something I can recognize, so it is best that I come to the clients home. A pet communicates with people in so many ways, and the best way to create a safe environment for both you and the pet is to understand those behaviors. I have a good understanding of reading an animal and when boundaries are being set, whether they are done with play time and need space, or need some extra attention. Any pet care details left by the owner, I follow very closely to give the pet the closest experience they can get to a typical day in the home with the owner.
About: I've been a pet parent since my teens, from Dixies to Bernese! Would love to bring your dog with me on my walks/runs. I have a large fenced in yard for roaming and single floor home. I am available for boarding for weekends or full week. I do work 4-10s M-Th so would be better suited for older dogs if during the week. I am home Fri -sun for more attention on weekends. I have no kids and single floor home if those are restrictions for your pet. There is room inside for a crate if needed. The large back yard is fully fenced in and great for fetch. I do walk/run regularly and would love for your pet to join me if they are up to it.

“Sam was incredibly patient with Zena! Zena was triggered by the fireworks, Sam communicated everyday with me about helping Zena to regulate her emotions, she helped soothe her, provide Zena with the space she needed to calm down. I appreciate the picture and video and feed back on how to help Zena once we pick her up. Zena was well cared for, had her own clean room to roam in and a large hard to play in all this helped reduce my anxiety about leaving her. Over all Sam was knowledge about dog breeds and understands how to work with strong-willed shibas. Definitely recommend.”
