About: What sets me apart from other sitters is that since I was eight years old I have been taking care of cats, dogs, reptiles, and rodents. I have 25 rescue cats back home in California in which I work with rescues for free vaccines and neutering and spaying. Lots of the cats I take care of have special needs or require administering medication. I also have experience with dogs with special needs such as being spoonfed. I work part-time over the winter and will spend most days indoors studying for LSAT. I go for walks on breaks and usually give attention to my pets and others between breaks or as needed! My house has spare rooms where I can house pets if they are not comfortable with my cats! In college I couldn't have a dog, but I did get my first cat, Oliver. He was more or less feral when we found him but with lots of love and food, he became a lap cat with a happy home on a farm. Two years ago I moved to Ithaca, and have two 3-year old Siberian cats, Nadja and Moose. They need a lot of exercise and play which includes taking them out on leashes to walk around the block. Shihong took Peanut on short notice, picked her up to take her on a walk around the block with his dog, Cotton, and reported back that things were going well! About: I've cared for dogs of different sizes over the years and I love to cuddle, walk, and pamper pups. We have a fenced in back yard and I like to take long walks with dogs if they're up for it. We have a 4 year old boxer/hound mix who is sweet with people but not great with other dogs. We keep him away from guest dogs, there's lots of room in the house for each dog to have their own space and still get lots of love from me and the family. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I take breaks through the day to care for puppies, whether that's a quick potty break, fun walk, or play time with balls and toys. When boarding, I make sure pups get any meds they need, plenty of time outside, and snuggles on the couch (if they're the snuggling type). I know some dogs need longer or shorter walks, and I make adjustments based on what they need.

Two things to note: actually lives closer to Watkins Glen than the address on profile (as of July 25th, perhaps it's been updated). There is no fence on the property, but the driveway is long with trees and is removed from the road which isn't super busy. Our dog gets distracted by squirrels, etc. So we left him with a long lead for her and she was very safe on the property. Bonus: she is now napping. Generally a sign of a fun time.”

About: I’ve always been a dog person all my life. I just have a way with dogs. Patience is the best way to try your animals. Family members rely on me to feed their animals. Currently working at a grocery store so my hours are always different. When I finish working though I head straight over to where I need to go. Sometimes I head over before I have to work too. I take the animals outside when they need to go to the bathroom. While I’m out there I watch carefully over them. I comfort and pay attention to them. I talk to them like they are humans.

I love a long walk if the dog is up for it, and I'm always down to play and snuggle. Let me know if you're interested! My schedule is pretty flexible right now. I I usually wake up early, so I don't mind an early walk or feeding schedule. I typically go to bed around 11pm-midnight, but I am happy to work around a pet's schedule, especially to accommodate any medications or weather. I'm always vigilant when entering and exiting client homes, so as not to allow pets to slip out.

“Roxanne was amazing! This was my first time with Rover and I have a “quite the only child” husky. I am that mom who is worried about everything and nothing! Roxanne is a great communicator, allowed us to meet and greet, pick up and drop off were both easy, and during the booking she sent pics of my baby boy every day. She took special care of his needs and even took him on outings. Sebastian had a great time and we look forward to visiting Roxanne and Capone again. An extra thank you!”
