About: I've had dogs my entire life from puppies to rescues! I've also been a grooming salon manager in Ithaca for 9 years. I've cared for many different breeds, ages, temperaments, and quirks all dogs have and I love them all the same. I have two dogs of my own Luke and Yoda. Luke is a 6 year old lab mix around 35 lbs. He is very loving and playful. Yoda is a 5 year old miniature fox terrier mix who has unlimited energy and is the sweetest snuggler. I am home all day with my baby and two dogs of my own so I can give the same care to some extra dogs! I treat every dog as if they are my own. I have lots of extra blankets to make sure they have there own space (i do recommend to bring some of there stuff like blankets, beds, and toys to make them more comfortable) and have extra room to separate them if they need to be alone. I will always make sure they are comfortable, happy, loved, and safe!

“We are so lucky to have found Ashley C. on Rover. Com. Ashley and her husband Brian boarded our 5 month old German Shepherd (Isa) from 7/24/23-7/29/23 at their home. Each morning Ashley sent me an update on Isa’s day without fail. She also included numerous pictures of Isa engaging in play with her own personal dogs. Although, prior to obtaining Isa, one of are greatest worries was that having another dog would tie us down and limit our vacations we enjoy taking. We knew having a German shepherd would be a bit hard to travel with for the most part. I did look at other boarding options but I found them to be lacking and caused me a few sleepless nights on where or who to leave Isa with. Ashley arranged a meet and greet and I knew in the 1st three minutes that Isa would be fine in Ashley’s home. Isa did wonderful and I did not have a single worry regarding Isa. Each picture showed me that she was thoroughly playing hard, engaged and loved all the romping around with Ashley’s dogs. They have a great yard and are certainly experienced in boarding dogs. They were very good at keeping her at home routine so she was comfortable. I couldn’t thank Ashley and Brian enough for the care they provided for Isa.”

“Jessica and her family were amazing. They watched our 6 month old puppy and 7 year old dog for 4 nights while we were on a vacation. The older dog gets anxiety when she would stay at a boarding facility due to being around lots of dogs, barking and sleeping in a kennel. She experienced none of that while with Jessica. She came home happy, calm and most importantly, with an appetite. She took them on long walks everyday, played with them and treated them as her own. About: I have always had pets in my life. I was born into a house with cats and dogs and have had two dogs for as long as I can remember. I have taken care of the animals when my parents have been gone. We have had dogs old and young of all sizes and I love all animals big and small. I will love on animals and play with them, take care of them or just snuggle if they dont like to play. I will be with the animals as much as possible in between other jobs. I also have worked at petsmart in the pet hotel so I have a lot of knowledge and experience working with pets. I am currently working full time but I can let the dogs out before I go to work and then can go right after work as well. I go in at 8 am and get off at 330 pm I will take special care with each pet and be sure to follow the rules that are set by the pet parent. I have 4 kids(1-16) so the dog must be good with small children. I do work during the week. Someone is home during the summer and school breaks. About: I've cared for dogs of different sizes over the years and I love to cuddle, walk, and pamper pups. We have a fenced in back yard and I like to take long walks with dogs if they're up for it. We have a 4 year old boxer/hound mix who is sweet with people but not great with other dogs. We keep him away from guest dogs, there's lots of room in the house for each dog to have their own space and still get lots of love from me and the family. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I take breaks through the day to care for puppies, whether that's a quick potty break, fun walk, or play time with balls and toys. When boarding, I make sure pups get any meds they need, plenty of time outside, and snuggles on the couch (if they're the snuggling type). I know some dogs need longer or shorter walks, and I make adjustments based on what they need.

About: Hello! I have been a dog groomer for over 10 years and a part time dog walker for 5. I have recently become more available to take on another client or two. I have done long term dog walking and dog sitting for a few local families in the Cortland area. They love me and I love them and their pups! I'm currently employed as a psrt-time dog groomer and have been at this facility for 10 years. 5 years ago I began dog sitting and walking for a few local families and now that my children are older I'm able to take on another client or two. My weekly schedule is flexible but Friday's I'm unavailble all day due to a full client scheudle that day! I have three dogs, a cat, and some chickens. All my animals are up to date and we have an electric fence to maintain their boundary. They get alot fo walking, running (especially the goldendoodle,) naps, and lovin'. About: I’ve cared for dogs for 10 yrs and have owned a cattle dog mix for 6! I’ve fostered and pet sat dogs, cats, and kittens throughout that time. I have experience giving medication, basic training, and am detail oriented when it comes to any special instructions. My priority is following your lead when it comes to what's best for your pet's safety, nurturance, and play! Right now, my care schedule is flexible! I'm available for boarding in my home or pet sitting in yours. I work part-time, two days a week as a direct service provider from my home and 1-2 events per week at Cornell. I'm intentionally staying open so I can spend time at home with my dog and am never away for long! I love taking long walks around my quiet, rural neighborhood or spending time exploring the area. I live in a quiet, rural cottage with a screened in porch, backyard and tie out. My cattle dog mix is super playful and loves other dogs! “We are so lucky to have found Ashley C. on Rover. Com. Ashley and her husband Brian boarded our 5 month old German Shepherd (Isa) from 7/24/23-7/29/23 at their home. Each morning Ashley sent me an update on Isa’s day without fail. She also included numerous pictures of Isa engaging in play with her own personal dogs. Although, prior to obtaining Isa, one of are greatest worries was that having another dog would tie us down and limit our vacations we enjoy taking. We knew having a German shepherd would be a bit hard to travel with for the most part. I did look at other boarding options but I found them to be lacking and caused me a few sleepless nights on where or who to leave Isa with. Ashley arranged a meet and greet and I knew in the 1st three minutes that Isa would be fine in Ashley’s home. Isa did wonderful and I did not have a single worry regarding Isa. Each picture showed me that she was thoroughly playing hard, engaged and loved all the romping around with Ashley’s dogs. They have a great yard and are certainly experienced in boarding dogs. They were very good at keeping her at home routine so she was comfortable. I couldn’t thank Ashley and Brian enough for the care they provided for Isa.”

“Jessica and her family were amazing. They watched our 6 month old puppy and 7 year old dog for 4 nights while we were on a vacation. The older dog gets anxiety when she would stay at a boarding facility due to being around lots of dogs, barking and sleeping in a kennel. She experienced none of that while with Jessica. She came home happy, calm and most importantly, with an appetite. She took them on long walks everyday, played with them and treated them as her own. She is great about communication with pics and constant daily updates. Your dogs will be in great, loving hands with Jessica. I will certainly use her again for all my dog sitting needs.”

“I wish there were an option to leave more than five stars, because Georgia and her dog Wilma went so above and beyond. I had to find a last minute sitter over the holiday weekend, which, without Georgia's responsiveness and flexibility, would have been next to impossible. When I dropped my dog off, I could tell immediately that she was going to have an amazing time. Georgia sent lots of updates while I was away, which was much appreciated. Normally when I pick up my dog after a couple of days away, she's overjoyed to go back home, but this time, she actually seemed bummed to be leaving her new bff Wilma!”
About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 12 years old! My entire live I have had dogs all around me and apart of my family. As I got older I learned more about the importance of animal care. I have pet sit my families dogs many times as well as friends and neighbors. I not only pet sit but walk and run dogs! In high school I actually had a small business where I would take peoples dogs for a run or walk! I work part time and am in my last year of college at Cornell University. I tend to go on walks and runs daily so I would love to have a dog accompany me. I tend to study at home in a friend friendly community so I will have lots of time to care for them. I am very observant and watchful! Being in the science field has allowed me to pay attention to detail, so I take that in to my practice or caring for animals. I truly love dogs so much and have a passion for caring for them!
About: I am just starting to my fourth career, playing with your companion. I recently retired from teaching sustainable development at UAlbany. I now spend my days outside with hairy friend Herman. I picked up my first stray, Bandit, at 9. I have had a at least one dog since then, I am now 63. All from shelters or strays. I also did doggie foster care too. Known to be gentle and friend of the furry ones. I start each day with a morning meander across the 25 acres on a dead end road. Your companion will be well exercised, loved and cared for as long as they get along with my 14 year old hairy friend Herman, who lets cats eat from his dishes. He runs the place when it comes to house rules. He does not have viscous bone in his body. After three careers and global travel I am recently retired. My days are spent gardening, walking, sitting on the porch, listening to music, etc. I am rarely gone more than a few hours as Herman, my four legged friend, needs special care at 14 years old. I am typically up before dawn, no dog or alarm necessary. My day typically begins with me waking predawn and greeting the new day with my hound Herman on the 25 acres we cohabitate. Most is abandoned agriculture returning to forest for 35 plus years that is bisected by a small babbling brook. Breakfast is then served before returning outside. In climate weather I am outside more than 70% of my day outside. At 14 he chooses to stay in sometimes. Your companion will be free to make their own choice too. My life ambition is to nurture life. I have cared for pets since I was born as my family had cats. There is a fenced area that includes four shaded area. There will be plenty of water, including a baby pool for play as well as sprinklers. This area is shares two fences lines with my garden, has direct access to a walk out basement, and is fully visible from my porch. The dogs will have near 24/7 personal attention and care. I live sustainably. There are no chemicals in my lawn or garden. I have an enclosed porch that in the summer is open air, but no steps to escape. Only with your permission would I walk a guest off leash. Before walking them off leash I will need feel 100% confident they respond to command when other distractions are present. Again with your permission I would take your friend to a fenced in dog park visit as a trial run. Herman, my housemate, is a happy healthy 14 year old he is my best reference. He also has final word on all guest of all species. About an 1/2 acre is fenced with direct access from the house through the basement door. It includes shaded doggie lounges, a baby pool in the summer, toys galore, and lots of attention as the space is adjacent to my garden and the covered porch. It has the capacity to be divided if unruly dog needs to be isolated or there are little ones that just need time away from the bigger ones. Indoors, dogs are free to roam in the basement and first floor. If they are cage trained I can accommodate that. The two beds are off limits. To prevent misunderstanding with bed loving dogs I will keep my guest room. Both the porch and the living room couches are fine. Little ones may use chairs too. The house is really set up for Herman’s comfort and safety. The 32x10 covered front porch is a favorite of Herman and all his visiting friends. Your hairy friend will be delighted by this feature too. One more thing, the hardwood floors are currently covered in rubber “yoga mats” as Herman can not cope with slippery floors. There are also many large dog beds that Herman is happy to share. Opps, where are our manners; welcome to our slice of Paradise!😊
